I cheated to see the reaction since the livestream, your timing on the pause after the Osamu set to Aran before *the moment* 😂 Your timing is always perfect Sarah how do you do it gives me chills
Indeed!! Karasuno doesnt have the "protagonist" cheat that most series have. Things dont go their way always XD

I love the recognition Akagi, Inarizaki's libero, is getting. Nowhere in story is he mentioned or considered one of the best liberos, but the saves he makes in this match are incredible.
I genuinely believe he is a Noya lvl Libero with how consistent his positioning, quick movements and reactions, and actual goated saves that clutched up for Inarizaki so many times.
He's the libero of the nation's top 2 team. Of course he's good Manga extras spoilers ahead It's like when ppl were shocked Iizuna was at the THE VOLLEYBALL special match alongside Kageyama, Atsumu and Oikawa, despite the fact that he was literally the captain and main setter for Itachiyama when Itachiyama won Interhigh
Its really sad that this season was done so poorly that the characters on the "other team" are barely introduced beyond the Miya's really. So nobody really knows "that libero's name". Which is really unusual in Haikyuu really.
I feel like Ushijima's line to Hinata was actually the most important one there, because similarly to Kageyama's "What have you been doing for the past 3 years?", it shows that both recognized that with his abilities Hinata should be way better than he currently is, but he was lacking in experience and practice. And that is huge for Hinata because it's coming from someone that he puts tiers above of him. Not to mention that line stung him so bad that he decided to push through the ballboy thing just to prove Ushijima and Washijo he was indeed doing something
Yep indeed it was, hinata's change of perpective happened after ushijima questioning what he's doing there All the advice from takeda sensei and ukai, his senpais support, and everyone (good or bad) comments make him back on the right track, but ushijima is the one who trigger it
"It's the ace that inspires you... but during a match, when the crowd is going crazy... even more than at an amazing spike, is when there's a super receive" - Nishinoya, season 1, episode 8
The hunger/passion metaphor is one of the best ones I've ever seen, and Atsumu throwing that last line out there always gives me chills. It really goes to show how devoted Hinata is to the sport that Atsumu quickly began to pay more attention to Hinata than Kageyama.
I love when reactors get mad at inarizaki for being too good lol😂😂😂 their setter is literally the best high school setter in whole japan, their ace is in the top 5, AND their libero is a menace😂😂
The whole sequence from Hinata’s receive to the time out, is probably one of my all time favorite parts of the show, it just perfectly shows Hinata living up to his namesake, he is literally a little sun on the court brimming with his everlasting enthusiasm and bottomless appetite for volleyball and it rubs off on everyone else and gives them energy too
Also, absolutely love how increasingly invested Sarah has gotten as the match went on, especially with being protective of your love house member Tanaka
@@heatxtreme9261 which I find even funnier after reading the manga to completion (not going to mention more due to heavy spoilers involving that topic)
I think my favorite part about Sarah's line judge rants is trying to figure out if she's angry at the animators for making it look too close, Furudate-sensei for scripting the miss or is genuinely so invested that she actually forgets in the moment that she's watching a fictional, scripted story.
I think she is upset that it's a bad call, but she still knows it's animated and scripted but is kinda getting into the moment as a fan because that's what you're supposed to do as a good fan when your team gets a "bad call". So half she's actually upset and half she's kinda just roleplaying.
Can we also just talk about Kenma’s little chuckle when Hinata Spider-Man’s the block out and sprints/calls for the set while Inarizaki is stunned because he knows only Hinata would be wild enough to do that?! 30:16
Sarah NEVER pauses at the wrong time! Why did it have to happen right before Hinata's big moment 😫 Poor Hinata! He will never make it into the love house 😂
Lets face it guys, Hinata will never make it into the love house...no matter how good or how much development he gets. I'm just gonna brace myself when the Haikyuu movie comes out because they are gonna most likely cut most of Hinata's development during the Brazil arc.
I love the food analogy. It's not just the part about getting hungry when you get a bite, but also that we NEED food to live, and Hinata seems to need volleyball to live, too. For him, it's like eating or breathing, and that passion he has for volleyball is absolutely mesmerizing
Some things I love to read when I watch parts of this episode over again: 1. Calling tanaka a weaker version of bokuto feels almost like a compliment because bokuto is in the top 5 hitters/aces of all of Japan. Being comparable to him is a great thing. 2. This isn't like other sports animes where the team just has plot armor and whenever things are going good for them, then it always goes well for them. It's realistic that things don't always go your way. These episodes are probably my most rewatched favorites. They show how hard work pays off and it really motivates me in my own life to keep trying and to keep improving myself.
Hinata has always been in the correct place, but his instincts and his skill and understanding of the game finally came into one great moment that changes the whole feel of the match
I remember seeing Hinata’s super receive the first time in this episode, and recalling Nishinoya’s words from season 1 : The thing that gets the crowd going, even more than a spike, is a super receive (sorry it’s not verbatim, but you get the idea)
You're the only reactor I know who predicted that Atsumu was faking his dump, and I love that even in your righteous proxy anger on Karasuno's behalf, you couldn't help but admire that play. Also! Inarizaki actually got me on their side a little bit; at least half the reason why is Kita---and another part of the reason why is their coach. His encouragement right at the beginning of Heisuke was generally good and inspirational advice. Excellent coaching in that moment, to a player who really grew from it.
The numerous times Sarah calls something correctly and I'm sitting here with my jaw on the floor... I guess that's what you call world champ difference.
Inarizaki's coach is one of my favorite's in the series because you can tell that he really pays attention to his players and wants them to succeed and grow as individuals, not just rack up wins for the team
Bc of this play by Atsumu.. I saw it miles away, and called it when Kenma doing the same thing in the movie when I watched it in the theater.. kinda proud of myself hahahaha
For every Haikyuu appreciator who wants more of Haikyuu: I do hope you'll read the manga after S4 because, honestly, the movies (110 chapters wrapped up in two movies) wouldn't do justice to this beautiful plot. Furudate has done such a good job with his work. Every single time you read/watch Haikyuu, you can derive so much more than you did last time. Please don't let the movies be your first look into the rest of the plot, it'd be unfair to you as a reader for not getting the best of what you could get. And not fair for Furudate as a creator of this amazing piece
They can read from right after the Shiratorizawa match also, because the Tokyo Qualifications and S4 did get some parts cut. Or better yet, experience the whole journey from the beginning.
100% reading it. I've been an anime-only watcher so far but even i know a rushed set of movies like that wouldn't give enough justice to what the anime still has yet to deliver. Haikyuu is too good and too iconic of a series just to be done dirty like that, can't let the movie ruin the rest of it for me.
@@namelessking111 That's great! I'm sure you're gonna find the manga worth it.The drawings are so damn cool, dialogues and everything are so on point, plus the little details of every character in every single panel. The matches left me breathless, full of goosebumps and I'm not even exaggerating. You wouldn't even realise that those black and white one dimensional drawings could make you hold your breath with those intense rallies and storyline to come.
I don't want read manga.. i'll wait anime even it will take forever.. Because i love reading physical manga but that's very expensive for me and I'm against illegal manga scan.
Ha! Not the reaction I was expecting, but amazing nonetheless. The switch between Angry-Sarah and TH-camr-Apology-Sarah was incredible lol. That one pause though, the TIMING.
There's one thing that I especially love about this episode and it perfectly manifested in how you were feeling as you watched it! So, so, so many other shows WOULD have made that dig the turning point. It makes all the sense in the world, from a conventional storytelling perspective. But what Karasuno needed was not some miraculous, unexpected play. They're all extremely capable at this point of winning this game through their own, normal level of skill, as long as they're actually playing up to that level. What they needed was the mental reset, not an on-court one. So they let you sink even further into despair, thinking that the one hope you had managed to conjure up was also snuffed out. It's not Hinata's improved skills that saved the day, though of course that has to be part of it. It's what it has always made him special among all these super skilled players throughout the series - his love of volleyball.
"what Karasuno needed was not some miraculous, unexpected play" This just instantly makes me think of one lyric in the ending song, "we don't need a miracle anymore". They weren't here by chance. People will say that they had plot amor because they're our main protagonists but I don't believe so. They definitely had their luck with some plays throughout the show but everything they'd done to get here was not without struggles, immense efforts and mental toughness.
@@linh_tran93 And even then, it's not like their luck was unjustified. I actually liked how Coach Dony, a volleyball coach that also reacts to Haikyuu, described it. Luck is part of any sport, but it's not just luck that comes out of nowhere, there has to be an intent behind it. Two examples, when Atsumu returned the ball and it trickled over the net, it could be called luck, but that lucky moment only happened because he followed after the ball, despite it going very far of the court, and even before that, he was only able of getting the ball that time because of Akagi, the libero, getting it first. And also with Hinata's dig, maybe the amount of perfection in this one was luck and he still needs a bit more of practice before he can do such perfect receives consistently, but this instance of 'luck' only happpened because he porpusely stood up to Aran's spike. If either of them had just decided to let those balls go because they seemed so hard to save, one going extremely off court, and the other being a spike from an Ace from the top 5 in the country with barely any blocking to help, then they would've definetely lost, but because they at least tried, they managed to help their teams and keep the rally going.
"Haikyuu getting better" is seriously no joke. It might just be the only series that for me and for many people I know didn't really have "highs and lows" but instead kept consistently getting better until the very end, perhaps exponentially so since we've started Nationals. There's still a lot of greatness to cover! Also, just a fun lil fact since you mentioned Atsumu's "10 fingers instead of 2 arms" in the beginning of the reaction: this part actually sounds even better in Japanese, because the counter used for fingers and arms in Japanese is the same, which makes the comparison even more direct and solid.
Hinata's receive is definitely a fan favorite moment of the series. Seein that lil cinnamon roll improve when he's been working so hard just feels so good.
He's literally the sun who radiates his shine on everyone he meets. Even Osamu goes on to make onigiris for a living after he saw hinata eat volleyball lmao
25:05 The training arc is my favorite episode, but this is my favorite moment. All of the effort Shoyo put into actually learning volleyball paid off here.
She just paused before the best moment of the season 😅 And Osamu’s speech is exactly showing how Hinata plays ! A storm called Hinata is coming, and nobody will be strong enough to defend against it ! 😁 Also I love the intensity of Sarah’s reactions of each and every play ! 😊
I chuckled so many times at Sarah's reaction watching this video! She is so into it, just like most of us when watching this episode for the first time.
I love seeing how competitive you get watching Haikyuu. It makes me realize just why you're an Olympic level athlete. I can't imagine what you're like while actually on the field. It's amazing to see, as I've never really been that competitive before. Really fun reaction. Can't wait for the final few episodes! It's going to be a blast!
When Sarah paused the video to have a rant the moment before Hinata had his big receive, I actually laughed out loud. These last episodes have the hype train going full speed
Hinata is an amazing character. He loves volleyball so much and when he was in middle school, he had no one to teach him, so he taught himself, and when he finally got the chance to play, he was defeated by a genius (Kageyama), who told him "what did he wasted his middle school years on?" and implied that all of his effort was worthless. To this day, everyone tells him that he is worthless without Kageyama, so when he finally digs the ball that no one in his team read but him without getting hit in the face, it was a catharsis moment for him that all of his effort are not worthless and he is more than just Kageyama's tool. The moment when he was speechless after receiving the ball tells u so much about how much this meant to him. He helps everyone with their confidence and self esteem, but no one helps him with his, he's always cheerfull and hopeful. He's always told that he's not a good player and without Kageyama he wouldn't be on the team, but he doesn't try to talk back to those people, instead he works hard and try to prove them wrong and this moment (at least in Hinata's eyes) proves so many people wrong.
I don't care what anyone says, frustrated Sarah is always a recipe for the most hilarious reactions possible, I don't remember ever laughing or having as much fun while watching an anime reaction before 😂 The snowball of rants in every pause had me wheezing and somehow it got even better with the most untimely pause I've ever seen, I was literally in tears hahaha
On a serious note tho, I'm honestly so grateful that Sarah decided to make Haikyuu reactions, when I discovered her I thought that her reactions would be great due to her pro volleyball player insights (and sure enough it definitely is), but she straigt up has become my favorite Haikyuu reactor period. The girl gets so invested that it almost feels like she's watching an actual volleyball game, heck even I kinda forget that I already know everything that's going to happen due to how she's always getting as hyped or as emotional as the moment is meant to feel... and as frustrated when it's time for that too 😂
The smallest detail, but at 29:48, when Inarizaki's coach was yelling for them to stop Karasuno the other two receivers (Aran and Akagi) readjusted and were trying to get even more ready, but Atsumu didn't even flinch. Because he was already in the zone, not stressed or worried like the other two, just complete focus. It's fitting that Atsumu was the one to dig that hit, he just knew he had it. He's a passionate/heated player but in his plays themselves he's deadly calm. I love that little detail.
Of course Hinata read that, then what's the point of ball boy arc 😂 But well even the Jozenji coach was confused with fluke, so it's good that you're having that moment too 😂 I'm still impressed that Inarizaki's coach caught that and immediately told the team to not lose this one point tho. Looking back at how Hinata started volleyball with practicing alone during middle school and no one was there to guide him before, went to Karasuno and immediately put into starting member without having enough time to develop his basic skills, and finally started learning the basic a few months before the spring tournament, it made me so emotional with this episode 🥲
That libero from Inarizaki is really underrated. His name is Akagi btw. Atsumu's defense skills is also really showing this episode. He was once picked to play libero during the all-japan youth camp shuffle match.
The POWER of the LOVE for VOLLEYBALL is shown so well in this episode. What a love letter to the sport of volleyball and I get teary eyed all the time seeing someone succeed in doing something they love.
Oikawa actually did the fake spike set before either in season 1 or 2 and Daichi had a similar receive to hinata back in Season 2 vs Seijo at match point. Great reaction, I found it funny that you and the Coach from jozenji both were like was it a fluke at first. Another part i loved was Kageyama not acknowledging Hinata about his receive
I was shaking throughout the whole episode. I've seen this episode at least 50 times if not more and seen at least 10 reactors react to this specific episode given it's my favourite in the overall series so far. You're the first who resonated with my level of energy and attention to detail on this episode and I am so so so glad I joined this journey with you because in the very first few episodes I noticed how invested you are in this and felt your reactions are worth investing into as well. For me, it was with this episode in mind and I'm fully satisfied with my choice to follow your content. thank you so much Sarah, you're amazing! :)
I love how long it has been since we've seen Hinata do a receive on screen. All of the misses was in service for this moment. Like he gets closer and closer, and the first time he lands it is against Aran our sunshine goes from 0 to 100.
The way this show MASTERFULLY utilizes music and sound effects that eb and flow in intensity and variety as different things happen in a match is just *chef's kiss*!!!
My favorite part about Hinata’s receive is the track that went along with it, it’s a rearranged version of the tracks “Baby Bird” / “Level 1 Ball Boy”, “Greed”, and “Evolution”, all tracks that where used to represent he’s development The track is also fittingly named “Piton”, even though it’s a culmination of all that Hinata learned, it’s still only a step towards that long strenuous climb to the Top
That scream after Hinata did the "Spider-man receive" ...KAGEYAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Idk why but it has always made me cry. I have watched/read Haikyuu over 40 times by now but still.... Haikyuu is goddam amazing and it will always be my top 1 anime ...forever and ever🥺🥲🥲
This is one of many moments of Hinata's namesake appropriately being the Sun, because that's what he is, he's just a happy little ball of sunshine that's always able to raise his team's spirits.
The fact that they show Hyakuzawa's reaction first to Hinata's Receive makes this one of my favorite moments in the show. They were struggling and Hinata slowed the match down for his team. He trully is a little Sun isn't he?
@20:15 "That Libero needs to take a break" , hahahaha Akagi is so annoying because he is so good. I think this is the first game situation where the opposite libero is straight up outclasing Noya
I think the reason I love watching these reaction videos is because it gives me back some of the joy and emotional response I had when I watched this show for the first time. It's such a joy to watch you enjoying this show so much, and I know I am not the only person who has become a volleyball fan as a result of watching you react and explain things from your perspective.
I rewatched this episode last week, and during that play I suddenly got the feeling that "this white screen is a bit long.. I bet Sarah will pause here" 🤣
I absolutely died laughing when you paused at the fade to white. I just knew it was gonna happen lol Also, that whole rally to end this episode was so well done. I remember watching it for the first time and my heart basically fell out of my chest for exactly the reasons you stated. Everything seemed to finally, FINALLY be going their way only for it to be taken from them again. But that's definitely sports for you. Kudos to the writers for subverting expectations so well with that sequence.
That whole rally before Hinata's super receive is probably my favourite in the entire series so far, we've seen sooo many incredible plays in such a short amount of time, no matter how many times I rewatch it I'm still always gasping at the screen because of how awesome everyone is.
Who here thinks that Hinata's super receive is NOT gonna make it into Sarah's 5 Best moments of this season? I just feel that it won't make it, which is so sad. Its gonna be so devastating if she doesn't put this scene as one of the best moments of this season. All that hard work and development...would mean nothing. Poor Hinata. At least some fans appreciate that great moment.
Different moments mean different things to people it’s still a great moment even if it doesn’t end up in her top five, but remember you’re watching for her opinions and reactions not for them to be exactly the same as yours
@@wrexfiles won’t be surprise that it won’t with the way she reacted to it. I get the feeling that her best moments of this season will just be full of Tanaka, while ignoring Hinata’s moments because that always happens.
@@wrexfiles I just know that she won't. Lets face it, she finds Hinata annoying, despite the amount of development, and would rather watch Haikyuu without him.
I'm just surprised you didn't realise Hinata has been reading the plays since the training camp with Washijo. He's been getting into position, just has been making errors with his receive form.
Another episode of Sarah vs. the line judges XDD it's always so funny hahaa Also Sarah getting defensive over Tanaka TwT yesss, my boy is amazing! And now Sarah even has beef with Inarizaki's libero hahaha, her rant after he got the ball with his foot was amazing (and yes, this guy is kinda insane and the reverse kick into the free ball trickling over the net like that is nightmare material for sure oof) I just love Hinata saving the day by just being himself, being just so genuine and excited that it's contagious and lifts everyone else's spirit too TwT
Omg Sarah, I really love you and the way you are able to understand each character (don't need to say sorry for what you have said, I mean it's common on a first reaction and not knowing what to expect) Also, man I love Osamu so much just like Kita.. He was not the best of the best but he can pull off those plays.. I think when Aran said, "If I have to choose, I think Osamu is a bit better than Atsumu" or something like that, this is also a part of what he meant by that.. Don't get me wrong guys, Atsumu is very very good, also don't want to speak much as I have already read the manga, (no spoilers for Sarah please hehe) Love the food analogy there~
Hinata absolutely read it and when you paused at that moment I was SO mad at/sad for you.. haha You have to watch this episode again without pausing there because there is an intentional shift in the pacing and soundtrack which makes it hit so much harder. You won't regret it! Also, did you ever notice throughout this match how the Karasuno team "sounds" more desperate while their opponents always seem relaxed or in control? The way they call to each other or exert themselves as they get after balls. That is also intentional - it subconsciously makes us feel the tension more deeply.
Sky Love Hurricane! Who knows if Samu has ever tried to set a minus tempo quick to Tsumu but they've definitely thought about and tried a play where one of them sets with the first touch. They even came up with a name for it, and a pretty cool name at that. Hinata's excitement during the time out always brings me back to Yamaguchi's pinch serve in season one. Much like Hinata's receive, they didn't get the point, but like Shimada or Takinoue said, "You never know what's going to change the momentum." Like a wise volleyball player said, "Volleyball is a game of momentum."
"Sky Love Hurricane" was actually a translation mistake :"D It's supposed to be "Skylab hurricane" and is a reference to a technique performed by the twins in Captain Tsubasa!
Just adding my support. & I, too, LOVE that scene where Kageyama denys seeing HInata's receive (34:15~). It's SO funny!🤣 Also, that fine play by Akagi (30:30~) reminded me about a similar save Takahashi, Ran made fairly recently (Japan vs Serbia).
I love how at the moment they lose the rally everyone feels like what the needed was to get that point… but they didn’t just need one point because the pressure would still be on them after that… what they really NEEDED was Hinata’s energy in that moment to lift that weight and pressure 🥹🥹 Hinata will always be best boy
I thought about the ball boy arc and this episode a lot last weekend while watching Japan men play in Nations League. Their receiving and passing was consistent and superb- they kept popping the ball up, just a couple of feet off the net, not too low, lots of options for the setter, lots of sets to the middle. I ❤ Hinata’s receive and Kageyama’s grudging appreciation. I get full body chills every time. Like Tsukki’s roofing Ushiwaka in S3, Hinata’s moment was the culmination of multiple seasons’ work and climbing the ladder from the bottom (Take-chan FTW!).

Atsumu(Mamoru Miyano) always said as Hyogo-accent pointing out bad Hyogo-accent is OK, but pointing out my acting plan is No thanks.
Hinata's receive in this ep is the culmination of everything he did in this season. Yes a flashback didn't happen but we've been waiting for it the entire season!
My all-time favorite moment from the series is coming soon and I can't wait for you to see it.. It puts a perfect encapsulation on Hinata's growth from season 1 and displays the deep bond between the players. I can't wait to see your reaction to it!! I'm legit so scared you will pause during that scene, omg
Wii, i can't wait for the next episode. I already finished the series, but watching it with sarah feels like having someone to watch it together with me. Now that i have a job and away from my family, Sarah is one of creator who makes me not feel lonely😊
I loved Sarah's reaction to Hinata's receive. In my opinion, all that doubt on Hinata is expected, that's why Hinata's receive makes it that much more impactful, everything he went through in the training and all the different comments he faced, comes full circle. It's so satisfying. Even though we lost, that whole point is amazing. Hinata's receive is my fav moment of the season 4. also, hmm going by the comments looks like this is an unpopular opinion but The pause by Sarah, just before THE MOMENT, I actually liked that. It was building up my excitement because I was thinking this is good Sarah has given up the point after seeing Aran's hit, now she will be that much more surprised by Hinata.
I think it because she's one of the few reactors who really pays attention to what happens. She remembers stuff that a lot of others have to be reminded about in the comments and even makes some great guesses (Her T word point here) Like I get not believing in it fully but the difference between this season and Hinata's receives and every other season was that he was getting in the right positions and it was constantly mentioned (as foreshadowing this) Not saying every time but she generally seems to remember a lot So it was a bit surprising that she didn't catch this. Obviously she can't catch everything and that's fine but just wanted to point it out. Also I'm sorry Idk how that pause could have been anything but the worse timing ever.
Oh Sarah I'm so happy you like inarizaki's libero, Akagi! He's indeed really good but sadly he doesn't get enough recognition from fans (that I know of). He's easily one of my favourite haikyuu characters. And honestly because of him I pay more attention to libero (in real life) now and they're my fav position after setter
i feel like this episode may have brought up a little PTSD. nothing more frustrating as an athlete or really in anything when you are doing your best and everything right but nothing seems to fall your way
Hahahaha I’m so glad I read comments and knew the pause was coming. It was more satisfying to see the pause after the rant and then to see you realise it was intentional…my sunshine carrot is growing up and we love to see it! As always watching you watch this was a joy. Gonna hop over to the other channel now hahaha
I am cracking up... Sarah is going through some emotions... the last 2 episodes. Best reactions yet. Then she gets an answer after every pause. HINATA is the sun, a ray of light.

All the advice from takeda sensei and ukai, his senpais support, and everyone (good or bad) comments make him back on the right track, but ushijima is the one who trigger it
I agree! It was after Ushijima's comment that Hinata finally got himself thinking, what he should actually be doing there.
Yeah kageyama and ushijima both just suck at words lol. two little birds who dont know how to speak
"It's the ace that inspires you... but during a match, when the crowd is going crazy... even more than at an amazing spike, is when there's a super receive" - Nishinoya, season 1, episode 8
🧡
Inarazaki's libero is absolutely the unsung hero for them in this match. Guy makes play after play.
yea that libero is really good.
Inarizaki is the literal bullshit team lol
The hunger/passion metaphor is one of the best ones I've ever seen, and Atsumu throwing that last line out there always gives me chills. It really goes to show how devoted Hinata is to the sport that Atsumu quickly began to pay more attention to Hinata than Kageyama.
Hinata loves the game like blonde twin (setting) which is more than gray twin who noticed all that.
@@robsonchagas2984 omg, yes. He saw that in his brother before, lol
@@heatxtreme9261 Only downside is Sara tends to hit pause and comment at the exact WRONG ties to really get the full effect
@@rjgreen42 It's commical at this point hahahaha
@@karabomasibi2331 NOT REALLY. Its frustrating at this point.
He knows his boy all too well
That felt like such a wholesome moment. The boy feeling happy and proud for his friend.
Yes!!! I love that little wholesome moment! 🥺🧡
One of my favourite moments
He was like "Hinata always gives me surprises! He's so interesting! I love it!" LOL
Sarah NEVER pauses at the wrong time! Why did it have to happen right before Hinata's big moment 😫 Poor Hinata! He will never make it into the love house 😂
Poor Hinata man 😂😩😆😂
😂😂😂
Every time man 😭😭
I saw this coming a mile away honestly
Lets face it guys, Hinata will never make it into the love house...no matter how good or how much development he gets. I'm just gonna brace myself when the Haikyuu movie comes out because they are gonna most likely cut most of Hinata's development during the Brazil arc.
I love the food analogy. It's not just the part about getting hungry when you get a bite, but also that we NEED food to live, and Hinata seems to need volleyball to live, too. For him, it's like eating or breathing, and that passion he has for volleyball is absolutely mesmerizing
Some things I love to read when I watch parts of this episode over again:
I wish they had played that in the background. Somebody make an edit with nishinoya’s words!
Yup, super receives are insane, I get why Noya loves being a libero
@@jay7tennisI'm on it 🫡
@@emrose21506I'll be waiting for it.
He said something along the lines of: what gets a crowd going more than an insane spike is that very spike getting received
@@linh_tran93 Yep definitely
"what Karasuno needed was not some miraculous, unexpected play"
This just instantly makes me think of one lyric in the ending song, "we don't need a miracle anymore". They weren't here by chance. People will say that they had plot amor because they're our main protagonists but I don't believe so. They definitely had their luck with some plays throughout the show but everything they'd done to get here was not without struggles, immense efforts and mental toughness.
Thats why Furudate the writer of Haikyu is so goated, great writing
Too bad Sarah did not appreciate it
He's literally the sun who radiates his shine on everyone he meets. Even Osamu goes on to make onigiris for a living after he saw hinata eat volleyball lmao
25:05 The training arc is my favorite episode, but this is my favorite moment. All of the effort Shoyo put into actually learning volleyball paid off here.
Literally full body chills when Hinata receives Alan's spike!
Everytime I see a reaction of this episode right before the moment tears just start coming out 😢😢
*Anytime anything doesn't go Tanaka's way*
Sarah "THAT WAS WRONG AND I HATE IT!"
She's super quick to come to the defense or her love house members
The food analogy was perfect. I was surprised that I felt happy despite the karasuno's difficulties. Hinata really loves volleyball!
She just paused before the best moment of the season 😅
And Osamu’s speech is exactly showing how Hinata plays !
A storm called Hinata is coming, and nobody will be strong enough to defend against it ! 😁
Also I love the intensity of Sarah’s reactions of each and every play !
I don't care what anyone says, frustrated Sarah is always a recipe for the most hilarious reactions possible, I don't remember ever laughing or having as much fun while watching an anime reaction before 😂
The snowball of rants in every pause had me wheezing and somehow it got even better with the most untimely pause I've ever seen, I was literally in tears hahaha
Of course Hinata read that, then what's the point of ball boy arc 😂 But well even the Jozenji coach was confused with fluke, so it's good that you're having that moment too 😂
I'm still impressed that Inarizaki's coach caught that and immediately told the team to not lose this one point tho.
The name of Inarizaki's libero is Akagi and he deserves some respect ❤
I especially love the way they animate Hinata in this last season - he just looks so full of joy and excitement for the game
Another part i loved was Kageyama not acknowledging Hinata about his receive
the coach from jozenji is doing a reaction video as well. lol
My favorite part about Hinata’s receive is the track that went along with it, it’s a rearranged version of the tracks
“Baby Bird” / “Level 1 Ball Boy”, “Greed”, and “Evolution”, all tracks that where used to represent he’s development
The track is also fittingly named “Piton”, even though it’s a culmination of all that Hinata learned, it’s still only a step towards that long strenuous climb to the Top
That scream after Hinata did the "Spider-man receive" ...KAGEYAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Idk why but it has always made me cry. I have watched/read Haikyuu over 40 times by now but still....
Haikyuu is goddam amazing and it will always be my top 1 anime ...forever and ever🥺🥲🥲
still cracks me up when Sarah has a freak out because she knows they're going to reveal the next story beat in a minute or two, but she wants it _now_
This is one of many moments of Hinata's namesake appropriately being the Sun, because that's what he is, he's just a happy little ball of sunshine that's always able to raise his team's spirits.
*"NO"*
_cut_
"I think I've composed myself. I'm back"
That was kind of hilarious ngl, but also- ME, THAT WAS ME
I think the reason I love watching these reaction videos is because it gives me back some of the joy and emotional response I had when I watched this show for the first time. It's such a joy to watch you enjoying this show so much, and I know I am not the only person who has become a volleyball fan as a result of watching you react and explain things from your perspective.
I rewatched this episode last week, and during that play I suddenly got the feeling that "this white screen is a bit long.. I bet Sarah will pause here" 🤣
One of my all time favorite episodes! It’s definitely on my Mount Rushmore of Haikyuu!!
Inarizaki has the most underrated libero of all time. That kid is getting everything.
This is what I call divine timing! 😂
You read my mind!
I absolutely died laughing when you paused at the fade to white. I just knew it was gonna happen lol
Also, that whole rally to end this episode was so well done.
When you paused right before Hinata's receive, I literally screamed "NO NOT NOW WHY DID YOU PAUSE RIGHT NOWWW" lol
It's a tough feeling, getting toward the end of a tv show that you love. This is one of the best. Thanks for sharing your reactions/opinions.
@@wrexfiles IDK It would still be so damn sad if she doesn't because it would mean that Hinata's development isn't that memorable or great.
@@KaosBoba well ofc but do y’all really think it’s not gonna be in her top 5 that much have some faith in sarah

@@wrexfiles I just know that she won't. Lets face it, she finds Hinata annoying, despite the amount of development, and would rather watch Haikyuu without him.
Osamu's food analogy is one of my favorite analogies
I'm just surprised you didn't realise Hinata has been reading the plays since the training camp with Washijo. He's been getting into position, just has been making errors with his receive form.
Another episode of Sarah vs. the line judges XDD it's always so funny hahaa
Also Sarah getting defensive over Tanaka TwT yesss, my boy is amazing!
And now Sarah even has beef with Inarizaki's libero hahaha, her rant after he got the ball with his foot was amazing (and yes, this guy is kinda insane and the reverse kick into the free ball trickling over the net like that is nightmare material for sure oof)
I just love Hinata saving the day by just being himself, being just so genuine and excited that it's contagious and lifts everyone else's spirit too TwT
Hinata: Did you all see my recieve?!
Sarah and kayema: Imma prettend i didn't see that
Omg Sarah, I really love you and the way you are able to understand each character (don't need to say sorry for what you have said, I mean it's common on a first reaction and not knowing what to expect)
Also, man I love Osamu so much just like Kita..
I love how Sarah had her doubts about the banner at first but now loves it 😂
Silently cackling here at the levels of rage and incredulity I'm witnessing you go through... In Sarah's own words, "ya love to see it!"
Just adding my support. & I, too, LOVE that scene where Kageyama denys seeing HInata's receive (34:15~). It's SO funny!🤣
Also, that fine play by Akagi (30:30~) reminded me about a similar save Takahashi, Ran made fairly recently (Japan vs Serbia).
Most hilariously timed while also aggravating pause of all time award goes TO: Sarah 😂😂

NICE RECEIVU!!!!
Always great to see great haikyuu reactors appreciate another great haikyuu reactor!
All season was building up to that moment with Hinata. So proud of him!!!
My favourite play in the season and probably the anime
Nothing like an episode dropping from Sarah just as I'm about to eat breakfast here in PHP! Let's go!
About Inarizaki team voice actors.
・Atsumu Miya is Mamoru Miyano. And he is one of the famous voice actor in Japan. When he was offered Atsumu role, he answered he wanted to speak perfect HYOGO-accent.
・Osamu Miya is Hideaki Kabumoto. He had an audition, finally got a role of Osamu. After that(got a role of Osamu), he asked (staff) who Atsumu was. He knew Atsumu voice actor was Mamoru Miyano, surprising yelling and worrying.
By the way, he is Musa voice actor too, from Run with the wind.
・Little Miya twins voice actresses are Risae Matsuda and Satsumi Matsuda. They are real twins sisters from Osaka pef.
There is Hyogo next to Osaka,
similar pronunciation.
Season4 epsode21, according to Matsuda sisters, Inarizaki team voice actors pronunciation were excellent.
・Inarizaki Director(coach) Mr. Kurosu voice actor is Nobuaki Kanemitsu, he is from Kobe Hyogo pef. So, he was a Hyogo -accent teacher in Inarizaki team.
Before recording, Inarizaki team were gathering and took accent lessons. According to accent-lessons, Inarizaki team unity was stronger.
Atsumu(Mamoru Miyano) always said as Hyogo-accent
pointing out bad Hyogo-accent is OK, but pointing out my acting plan is No thanks.
Not really good with english guys, sorry😅
so glad sarah got to see one of the best moments in the series ever, such an amazing recieve
21:15 Sarahs fascial expressions throughout this whole scene are amazing
I loved Sarah's reaction to Hinata's receive. In my opinion, all that doubt on Hinata is expected, that's why Hinata's receive makes it that much more impactful, everything he went through in the training and all the different comments he faced, comes full circle. It's so satisfying. Even though we lost, that whole point is amazing. Hinata's receive is my fav moment of the season 4.
also, hmm going by the comments looks like this is an unpopular opinion but The pause by Sarah, just before THE MOMENT, I actually liked that. It was building up my excitement because I was thinking this is good Sarah has given up the point after seeing Aran's hit, now she will be that much more surprised by Hinata.
yeah, her doubting Hinata (fair thing to do with how his defense has been until this point) made her that much more impressed by his improvements
Exactly, I love that she paused it right there then said "he's going to receive it with his face" lol it was perfect
It was probably the worst reaction I have seen
@@KirstenBevel Yup, I agree.
Also I'm sorry Idk how that pause could have been anything but the worse timing ever.
that pause timing made me laugh so hard😂
Not me refreshing the feed hoping for one of my favorite episodes to drop before dinner
Bon Appétit! Dinner-time entertainment
That scene of Inarizaki after the Samu set to Tsumu spike, with their banner in the background, gives me chills every time!
Oh Sarah I'm so happy you like inarizaki's libero, Akagi! He's indeed really good but sadly he doesn't get enough recognition from fans (that I know of). He's easily one of my favourite haikyuu characters. And honestly because of him I pay more attention to libero (in real life) now and they're my fav position after setter
i feel like this episode may have brought up a little PTSD. nothing more frustrating as an athlete or really in anything when you are doing your best and everything right but nothing seems to fall your way
Rewatching a reaction to an episode I’ve already watched and watched reactions of so many times and still tearing up. God I love this show
"Did you see my receive?!"
"Nope"
"You lie!"

It was written in the manga as the moment Hinata read and received 100% for the first time in the series was super amazing moment
I love how Hinata cheer up everyone without even knowing he is doing that
Ever since I found your channel I’ve been checking back constantly for your reaction on these very specific scenes. Looking forward to episode 24 🔥
I absolutely LOVED this reaction!! Feels like I have been waiting for you to react to these last episodes ever since I started watching you, and it has been amazing to watch along with your analysis and attention to the details❤
Sarah you're not the only one who at first doubted Hinata's dig. This episode is a rollercoaster of emotions.
