John Bush is able to turn a song into a jewel, he deserves way more credit as one of the best singers in metal. Where other singers are in decline his voice gets better and better with time.
I just came from the indians video ( good ol times), to this video aaaand holy moly, why i have missed this huge amazing single and album back then?!!! Now I am fully aware of how this is a kick ass song to me and new on my playlist. I love how surprises come along like this
I’ve played guitar for 25 years, but I listen to this album for the drums. Sick riffs and a drum clinic on EVERY SONG. This was my personal album of the year.
Damn! What a killer track! It's like finding a hidden treasure. Thanks, fellas. And the history of the band series has been great. I love it, makes me feel young! Fuck getting old!
I remember buying this album when it came out and being blown away. Then I got to see you guys at Wacken in 2004; by far one of my best concert experiences! Please, don't ever retire.
Love Joey for sure and always will but John was just as good in the band and they put out amazing tracks time and time again. I really love both "versions" of Anthrax!!
I love this song! I remember the days... I tell ya.. STOMP 442 is my favorite- Oh yes.. Among The Living as well..Thanks for all the kick ass tunes over the years!
I was at the video shoot for this, it was filmed at the Ambassador Hotel on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles. Fun facts! -Six Academy Award ceremonies were held at the hotel from 1930-1943. -Senator Robert F Kennedy was assassinated in the hotel kitchen the night he won the California presidential primary in 1968. -Films shot at the hotel include Forrest Gump, Almost Famous and That Thing You Do. -Videos for GNR's "Patience" and Marilyn Manson's "Long Hard Road Out Of Hell" were filmed at the hotel. -The hotel was demolished in 2006 and replaced with the Robert F Kennedy Community Schools, the most expensive public school in America at $578M.
Thanks for the history. That they spent all that money and those kids will not get a great education only some politicians got rich and the poor got taken advantage of again something never change. LONG LIVE ROCK MY FRIEND
Such an excellent song. Redefining brutal in 2003. I heard this first at a record store just playing over the speakers and was so psyched to hear Anthrax was back! At first I thought it was a local metalcore band, which was very possible in 2003 in Boston, but as soon as I heard Bush's voice I got so psyched.
I know Scott thought they needed to get a new singer back in the late 80s early 90s , and although John sounds great in this , Joey was made for this song and I don't understand why Scott couldn't see that at the time , I'd love to hear a recording of this but with Joey belledonna singing , I know he would do an amazing job as always .

After watching each episode of the bands history I am a fully converted John Bush fan. He has such a powerful voice that can express many different feelings. Joey sounds great but he is a one trick pony. In my opinion he sings in one cadence whereas John has so many tools to express his mood of the lyric.
@@psychonautpupildiallater7734 Agree. Joey's earlier stuff was definitely much more in the same cadence. I love his sound. John Bush just had a much different sonic range. And agreed: when Joey came back, his range had increased so much. I think he's literally at his best now.

John's vocals and the drumming and... the rest of the band just killing it makes this one of my favorite Anthrax songs.
