    That was freakin’ awesome. Two guys who absolutely know they are famous and absolutely understand the responsibility that comes with it. But at the same time, they are two dudes you can totally see yourself having a beer or 10 with and neither you n’or they would feel out of place. That, in itself, is a skill.

    if six months ago you had told me that I would be listening to a north Wales football club on the radio on a Saturday morning I'd ask you to consult your physician... now I'm live-tweeting Disney's Mark Griffith's and yelling "up the town!" randomly during the terrific broadcast. crazy how it gets under your skin.

    Canada should be honoured that Mr. Reynolds is in the running to own the Ottawa Sens! We would be very lucky if he wins the bids! The way he invests in deserving communities is truly heart-warming! Thank you Mr. McElhenney and Mr. Reynolds!!!

    As an Villa Supporter, I've always liked Wrexham and fully understood their history and significant part in Football, and the giant killing cup exploits. I've always known they were a big club in Wales relative to ground size and fan base, and I'm as happy for them as I'm sure many other club fans are in this amazing exciting new era for a club that really deserves this great good fortune. It really warms the heart to see good people get some good luck fir a change in a World full of so much negative pessimism in these hard times. Salute to Rob for learning some of the Welsh language, that's total commitment!🙏👏

    We are so use to seeing celebs being selfish, its was a great change of pace to see these 2 awesome guys do something for the Wrexham community.
    Plus theyve brought a lot of attention to the entire AFC, not just Wrexham. I started following Wrexham AFC about 2 years ago when the boys bought it(I still need to get me a scarf!), and have gotten into watching as much AFC as I can.

    As a Cardiff city fan I would like to thank these two Bois for promoting Wrexham and the Welsh language and culture.
    Oh how I wish they were the owners of Cardiff City fc. Pob lwc for the rest of the season Wrexham. If Wrexham can get out of the league they are in, I wouldn't be surprised if they done a Swansea city under John Toshack and win two promotions, one after each other. joined Cardiff and the Jack's in the championship. Cymruambyth.
    Ps I wish these two Bois could influence a usa film maker to make a film about Owain Glyndwr. Welsh freedom fighter. Like Scotland had bravehearf. That would really put Wales on the world screen.

    When I look at these two, listen to them talk, they get It, they got It very quickly, I have followed my club home and away for 40 years, I kick every ball, when we lose Its like a death of a loved one, when we win I float on a cloud for days, when I walk through the turnstile its to enter the same ground as my great grandfather did for the first time over a hundred years ago, Its in your DNA, I have been to the Racecourse ground 3 times, my club are Premier League now, but we were also in the 4th division at the same time as Wrexham back in the 1980's, If these two can get Wrexham back into the Football league, and get them up a few divisions too they will build statues of them and name stands after them, compare that to the owners of Man U, football isn't a business Its a passion

    As a Chelsea fan, Wrexham is just another club to me, I'm glad they're on the up coz i don't wonna see any club go out of business. What made the show for me was seeing these two fall in love with footie and our football culture, also showing a different way of owning a club. Just wish my American owner listened to football ppl like these two. Football documentaries won't be the same again after this one.

    I'm charmed by the female interviewer, but... The Welsh language is a bit byzantine. Like Gaelic. I don't think it's fair to ask these two Hollywood hunks to be ambassadors for an ancient tongue. The fact that the USA plays Wales on Monday is the tricky bit for R&R. Even more so for Rob. Gareth Bale indeed just recently twisted the knife into Rob's hometown Philadelphia Union, so... ABE (Anyone But England) oughta be the cause du jour.

    • @DraigBlackCat
      @DraigBlackCat 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Don't you think ABE is a hugely disrespectful to the Englishmen who are contributing so much to Wrexham AFC?
      Mullin, Palmer, Dalby, Lee, Hayden, Tozer, Tunnicliffe, Howard, Lainton and Young (captain) are all English. Then off-field there are Parkinson, Parkin and Butler, all English.
      And of course, me, my wife and the friend we go to Wrexham matches with are all English but support Wrexham FC plus, unless they are playing England, we support Wales too.

    • @ajorngjdonaydbr
      @ajorngjdonaydbr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      did you ever consider why Welsh and the Gaelic languages are now considered ancient? It's because of English colonialism, forcing people to speak their tongue or lose their land and titles or even the right to farm.

    From watching this you could get the impression that Wrexham FC is a bastion the Welsh language. It isn't!
    I have been going to Wrexham and Wales matches at The Racecourse for 45 years but can't remember ever hearing anyone in the crowd speaking Welsh.
    Listen to the crowd during a home game. All of the chants are in English except when they sing the Welsh National Anthem. The only other exceptions are chanting 'And we were singing hymns and arias, land of my fathers, ar hyd y nos' or singing along to the chorus of Yma o hyd as it is played on the PA system.
    The two club songs are all in English - It's always sunny in Wrexham & Wrexham is the name!
    Go in to town itself and you will hear a reasonable smattering of Welsh, but not at the ground.

    • @r2dad282
      @r2dad282 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I wouldn't read too much in to that. Being amongst a crowd of supporters, you're gonna reinforce what everyone has in common--that's human nature. No doubt there were welsh speakers there. I hope Wales and Ireland both can find ways to grow interest in their native languages, despite the predominance of English.

    • @cthutu
      @cthutu 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I don't speak Welsh fluently, but as a proud Welshman I still want to the Welsh language promoted. Whether Wrexham fans speak Welsh or not, it doesn't matter. If promoting the Welsh language is a side-effect, then so be it!

      No point in chanting insults at the opposition in Welsh if they can't understand you !
