With the release of the tasm 2 suit in the nwh set, Lego has shown that they are not scared of releasing previously sdcc exclusive figures (despite being updated) and they clearly have some sort of weird obsession with venom, but they won’t just release a new symbiote spider-man
I am so fascinated by the withholding of the Symbiote suit. You would have to assume it’s intentionally being held off for something special and maybe it was supposed to be a movie suit first? But we haven’t seen any movie use that suit yet. Completely agree, it’s crazy we haven’t seen it yet.

Me too! I’m so upset I don’t have the Bridge Battle. It’s so great! And I really want an actually good Scarlet Spider fig, but I’m stuck with the Mighty Micros one because the actual one is too expensive. Luckily it’s the only pretty ok Mighty Micros fig.
The designers explained that by having so many of the figures from the bugle appear in other sets, they were able to get so much in the bugle. Otherwise they would have had to spread the budget much thinner
I do like the reuse of those characters because it meant I was able to happily skip a bunch of $20-$50 sets, but I am tired of seeing all the Venom and Carnage sets all before ever a Lizard inclusion

The Green Goblin bigfig is based on the Ultimate comic and Ultimate cartoon version of GG, where he's mutated into a big monster as the Goblin. In fact, it is this Goblin that Peter dies fighting in the Ultimate comics, leading to Miles becoming Spider-Man.
I get the hate towards the spider-trike vs electro but I’ve always had a soft spot for that set because as a kid I had two of it and played with both of them more than like, any other lego set at the time

In defense of some of the air vehicles, Spider-Man can't swing on clouds, so for places like wide-open fields or the shore (such as the dock set), they're more useful, and stuff like jets probably are faster then web-swinging, so ask why we use cars if we can walk to faraway places as well.
I’m ok with a Spider-Man set having some vehicle especially a helicopter in say a docks set, I just want the vehicles to be themed to someone else 🤷♂️ Love that Captain Stacy has a police boat in a set, that type of world design is exciting for me. But naturally a Spider-Man themed car is more appealing than a police car
I would love to see the docks setting in sets more. Give us a police chopper instead of a Spider-Man themed helicopter with his face on the sides. I don't know, there are docks missions in the videogames all the time and swinging isn't the objective there so I think the setting works fine.

There are so many great ideas in the LEGO Batman line that would work just as well with Spider-Man. Two themes I don’t think LEGO is currently capturing the full potential for.

Already ranked the movie sets and didn’t want to double up because this thing was already way too long without but fair enough. It’s cool I guess we have some versions of those characters but I’m a comics appearance pursuit so I really need to see a version of those characters that resembles the traditional looks of comics/cartoons, not just movie appearances. A car makes less sense to me than an aircraft. At least the aircraft can allow spider man to hover or go higher up, and it can go more places without buildings than a car. A car is just completely useless for SM. At least an aircraft has use.
