    If you have a Wichard D Ring then you can sand down the plastic feet of the inboard end by 1 or 2mm and it fits without a problem. I know because I’ve just, very cautiously, done it.

      Hey, nice work! Thanks for letting us know! Nothing better than getting around a problem manually! 👍🔧

      PS: This was a tip from Zaphod on Jeanneau Owners Proboards forum so don’t want to take all the credit for this!

    Chris, did you thru bolt the pad eyes? I assumed that you did I just couldn't see how you addressed the inside. I do like your videos really informative and the perfect balance of tech and muscle. cheers!

      Hi Steve,
      Thanks! So, yes… through bolted with washers in the aft part as it’s in compression and a large spreader plate at the front as it is in tension there. Sorry I missed that 👍

    I watched the first video and found it very informative. I subscribed but I can't find the second video. Did you make a second video? If so, where can I find it?

      Hey, there is just the one… unfortunately I broke my neck and we didn’t manage the second one yet.
      We will though, I am now doing quite well so hold fast, we hope to be back on the boat a bit next season!
      p.s thanks for subscribing! Great to have you on board with us!

      @FireFly14801 yup, super, super lucky! I have to take some time out of cruising to heal so it’s day sailing for a while… and a project. A big project! Basically to keep me off the water 😂🤦‍♂️

    Great video of the installation. Currently doing the same on a Bene 473, using a Selden 90 degree bracket bolted through the bow roller. But how do you remove the plastic inner ring from the bracket?. I called Selden UK, but they did not know.

    • @SailHub
      @SailHub  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! So… it’s a stiff old piece of stubborn plastic alright. Pop the metal ring in a vice and prise it out with your hands (or maybe screwdrivers) - it does come out! However you shouldn’t really need to take it out - you can just line the plastic ring up so that the hole allows access to the centre torx bolt, remove the bolt and it all comes apart.

    • @SailHub
      @SailHub  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aye, Selden gear is at the cheapest but it’s certainly worth it in our eyes. So well built, so simple to use and nothing to worry about!👍

    Too much noise, not enough information.

      Thanks for the comment, we will bear that in mind for our next video. We find it quite hard to make a video for everyone as all boats are so different and is is true with knowledge and ability so please let us know what you want to know and we will get back to you 👍
