It's amazing how a game like stellaris manages to give you a completely different view of humanity and its unnecessary conflicts, as we are no different than a primitive world like in the game, with competing nation states. Instead of looking at the stars we don't realize how insignificant these conflicts are.

This song is absolutely epic, the off beat drum just holding back, keeping that tempo sweet and steady, but staying poignant at the same time, and those airy synths painting soundscapes....what a track, the guitar just takes you on the ride. As a big fan of progressive psychedelic down-tempo music I wasn't expecting to find such a gem in a game.
This music sounds like the progression of ages in a spacefaring civilization. Layers of instruments like the layers of complexity, technology, and challenges laid before a civilization spanning centuries and many light years
Thought I loved the one this is based on, then I heard Dragon's Breath. Favorite track in Stellaris by a mile, and indeed I think one of your best overall! How it's paced, and varies, it has a very intense feel - and that is a good feel.
I feel as though this track is designed to encapsulate the wonder of finding the titular Leviathans in the galaxy while also at the same time warning of the dangers they present.
Every time I hear this arrangement, my adrenaline spikes and my hairs raise on my neck. The song evokes this feeling of wariness, panic and oncoming danger. One of those sounds that just make you instantly alert. "What's happening? Where is it? What is it? Is it coming for us? Are we in danger?!"
Games have to have many good features to be considered good. Gameplay is obvious, as well as graphics, but the often overlooked factor is sound. I am very glad that Stellaris has not forgotten this, and, in fact, has excelled in it's music. The only bad part about it is that after a few minutes, I automatically tune it out, which is a shame, because this is music I could listen to for a long time.
It's nice. Fiercer than the usual. It's...just a shame that it'll just fade into the background. Don't misunderstand. As nice as the tracks are(Even someone as tone-deaf as me can appreciate the track), you stop thinking about them as you get to work on your empire and everything else.
My own twists of my inspiration of Vangelis and the whole 80s sound. I always wanted the Stellaris music to be singable eventhough time signatures is a bit whack.
Normally, you have a game and its music - you would listen to it without the game. But the music of stellaris somehow has its own identity. I am glad that I bought the soundtrack (the steam dlc) and I am listening to it quite often although I am not playing the game currently. It is extraordinarily good! (However, this track is missing so I need to go to YT every time.)
No disrespect to the Utopia theme but I miss when this was the music that played when I launch Stellaris.

Very solid work, much like the rest of the soundtrack. I also happen to enjoy 7/8 particularly much, so that always gets extra points.
