I know, am the qawaam but still in my family and even Majority of the Pakistani family, you can't raise ur voice to your parents, just to take side of ur spouse.... otherwise it will fire back you will ever imagine.
And personally I do feel I am the Sandwich and had no escape from all this.
May Allah grant us the grace and the strength to keep the balance.
What I learned so far, the more you keep silence and stay away from women's talks, the more you will be at peace.
Though very insightful but practical applications of your advice almost created a WW3 in my situation literally.
