The last date I walked out of, she kept watching the TV at the bar. It was a basketball game that was on. I asked her who she was rooting for…she told me she doesn’t follow basketball. There was no real conversation at this point anyway, she seemed boring, dull and uninterested. I just politely let her know I wasn’t feeling her, didn’t think she was either. Paid for my drinks and said goodnight. She was speechless after that.

Thats why I try to have a verbal voice to voice phone call first, that usually sorts out a few, the wheat from the chaff, then your right, it's something like a meet and greet, no dinner when we first meet, maybe just a walk at the park, or coffee, something easy, cheap, simple, just to see if there is common ground. But even then....as I can tell you by experience, you never know, they may pass the first couple tests, and be a 10, and still be a nightmare....thats why you always should think of a meet/date with logic, never emotion.....and with logic....you shall see things much clearer.

Agreed. I always have a few calls or a videocalls before meeting a girl. You cant fully get an idea of a girls true character over txt. Hell, txtn can be boring as f*ck. But voicenotes, calls, videocalls is a whooole different vibe. Will save you time too and stop you meeting up with dead potato personality girls.

Well at least she's honest. People who act nice when they're not are the worst.
I think being a waitress is not an easy job. May she had a bad day. May be was very hungry and had to wait for the meal. The date may have gone differently if it was on her day off to a less crowded place.
I always try to see people in possitive ways. May be I'm just stupid. LOL But the guy asked her out and chosen the restaurant. He should've at least stayed till the end and paid for the meal. Seem too rude otherwise.
No one is obligated to compensate louzy behavior. If she wants nothing to do with him than she does not need his money. And should be grateful rather than entitled to being paid for by a stranger you have no interest, connection, sympathy, etc for if they decide to
