- Abandoned Ponderosa Steakhouse - North Versailles, PA. Enjoy a look at this former Ponderosa restaurant that would become other businesses after it closed many many years ago. At one point was a bingo hall and eventually another restaurant. Been closed for some time now and is in rough shape.

There are a lot of creators who explore abandoned places. We choose to watch YOU because of YOU. You are likable, relatable, and seem like a genuinely good human. As a new patron and long-time listener/first-time caller, I don't want to overstep, but it sucks to see you so down and wracked with self-doubt. Please just trust that whatever's going on will get better, or at least more manageable.

You don't suck homie, I used to watch more often back at my old job when I had more time but I just came across you again recently and been watching. You're a cool down to earth dude and you inspire me to get out and do this shit. I'm from the area of all the places in NE Pennsylvania you visit and they're all a short drive from me. So for what it's worth, I do get the feeling down I been there a lot myself, but you inspire this guy to get out and actually do this stuff so thank you.

Hi Wallie We had a Ponderosa in Lockport NY for years. My grandmother used to take me there for their breakfast buffet which was real good. It burned down and they demolished it and Wendy's is now in its place. Wallie, we have a closed Ted's Hot Dog restaurant here and also most of our former Kmart building is empty since SaveALot, Salvation Army Thift Store and others have moved out. Wallie, my life is kinda crappy right now but your videos help. Keep up the good work and hope things get better for you. Your videos are awesome!!!!

My whole family loves your videos, my husband just got home from work and said did you see there's a new Wallie B Ponderosa video out, we need to watch it! We live in Erie and a couple weeks ago we were driving over the tracks on Pittsburgh Ave. My son saw someone was getting ready to record a train, I said maybe it's Wallie, husband said no, I checked and it doesn't look like him 🤣. So you have an Erie family totally invested in your adventures and think you're a really awesome guy!

We always choose to stay. Cool video, I'm planning on making a specific trip to the Butler Ponderosa, only one I know that is still open. Used to go to the one on Noblestown back in the day, worked at that Arby's. Also worked at the one that closed on Banksville that you did this year. I appreciate your videos and enjoy them. I lived in Pittsburgh for a decade and passed by here every now and then and also forgot it was here. It’s in a bit of a bad location on top of North Versailles not doing that great economically versus decades ago. 😢

I ate at the one in Erie just off Peach Street a few times. Remember stopping there the last time and a few months later when I went back the building was gone.

I literally live one minute away from this location in North Versailles… the fact that I live and drive past this old Ponderosa establishment that I literally have sooooo many memories of going to as a child growing up in Youngstown Ohio… dude you don’t understand how I FEEEEL💯💯💯 Thanks for going inside of this building to do a deep dive because ever since I moved down the street I’ve always wanted to see the inside of this building💯💯💯😍😍😍😍😍😍💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
I also managed and trained in Harmarsville ponderosa. Opened the one in Johnstown too.,sad to see it abandoned as well

I remember going to ponderosa with my family in Scranton pa in the late 80s to early 90s. I miss that place. They had good food. I know how it feels to have been hurt. Hang in there and things will get better. You are an awesome person and your videos put a smile on my face. I had to best friends cut me off two years ago without an explanation.
There was a really good Ponderosa in Carrollton but covid came and had to close it's doors bc they had food bars. Had meat, pot., veg. bar. A salad bar. A taco bar. A pizza and pasta bar. Ice cream, cookie, cake and loved their peanut butter fudge!

I remember that Ponderosa well, ate there several times when i was a kid. Looks like the subsequent businesses did little to update the decor 😅. That area has changed so much over the years. Greater Pittsburgh drive in was where Wal-Mart is, there was a Hills store in the small shopping plaza by canes. Just around the corner was the Eastland Mall, which i think is an Amazon distribution center.

I used to really love their salad bar. It’s been forever since I’ve been there. Butler has the only open Ponderosa that’s left in the entire state of Pennsylvania!
My best friend Nancy opened that Pondersa. I opened the Pondersosa in New Castle. It’s now an Applebees
The sign at the old Ponderosa in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio was just taken down recently. That location closed years ago, but the sign remained there until recently. Wallie ..you should check out the building....there's a Japanese steakhouse in the old Ponderosa in Kent.....

I miss Ponderosa. We had one here in Somerset Ky from 1998 - 2006. They were put out of business due to Golden Corral going in right across the street.

Ponderosa was the last remnant of Metromedia Restaurant Group being in the restaurant business. They owned Bennigans and Steak & Ale and liquidated them in 2008. Ponderosa and Bonanza remained under Metromedia until 2017 when FAT Brands acquired them.

We stopped at Canes on the way back from Pittsburgh a few times this year, so good! I did notice around that area the abandoned buildings, hopefully new business will go in there soon

In St. Albans, WV where you filmed the old Kmart, that empty restaurant building that’s across from the old Kmart I think it used to be a ponderosa and a CiCi’s pizza but that restaurants has turned over so much.

You most absolutely do not suck. I love how you explore these places and show us everything you can without overstepping boundaries, and cut the the chase doing the actual exploration instead of pulling out props and doing the fake ghost hunting bs. Anyone who has ever encountered the real thing knows how fake that stuff is. You are very much loved my man. You give us the real deal and throw a little humor in sometimes. We all love that about you. If you're ever in the south Carolina area again passing through on I-26, there is a shut down shoneys on north main street right by the Walmart that's been closed since I think before Obama was president, and there used to be an old 76 gas station with the spinning ball on the sign that I explored as a teenager, but I'm not sure if it's still there anymore. It had been closed around a decade and was rusting away back in the late 2000s. Anyway, I don't expect you to come all the way to Summerville South Carolina just for that, just and idea of a couple things to check out if you're in the area again. Anyway you are awesome, stay safe out there. ❤
