    I really would love to join the Canadian Armed Forces, but sadly I got health problems and it prevents me from joining, or being qualified. All I can do now is just support and be proud of our military for serving the country and defending her interests.

    As a Canadian, I am very proud of these people.
    To my fellow Canadians, please vote. Voting is an act of national defence.
    In the end, what matters the most is that you Vote, and, cast a Vote for Canada.
    To the Armed Forces: thank you.
    Literally, you gals & guys are an inspiration!
    Thanks,

      Matsimus Gaming
      Hi, it seems to be Harper.
      John of Canada
      PS.
      I've openly stated that one of the big regrets in my life is that I did not serve as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces when I was young.
      That said, as civilians, we can all support our Armed Forces, and we should do this, as good Canadians.
      I've got two ideas, here, for everyone:
      1.
      Learn about the history of our Armed Forces.
      War of 1812, World War I, World War II, Korea, Afghanistan. TH-cam is a great source of educational videos.
      2.
      Have the courage to write to your MP, and, to our Prime Minister. When you do this, write at your best. Check your grammar, check your spelling, and, above all things:
      Write from the heart, as a Canadian.

    • @_Matsimus_
      @_Matsimus_ 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well put sir. I agree. I am wanting to vote. But this will be my first federal election vote and as a new proud Canadian (Moved from the UK) and about to join the Canadian Armed Forces reserve, I want to be supporting the right team.

    • @prespos
      @prespos 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Matsimus Gaming
      Thank you.
      A little bit about myself: I was born in Canada, in Vancouver, in 1972.
      I moved to Toronto in 1987, and I still live here.
      A few years ago, I fell in love with a lady from Montreal, and, I wanted to move there.
      That said, above all things, I keep a Love of Canada in my heart.
      Istari,
      John of Canada
      PS.
      Sir Matsimus, it is very interesting to me that you mention that you are from the UK. My father is English, and, my Mom is Portuguese.
      I have good family in England.
      I have a love of the culture of the UK, from the pub, to Tolkien, to Crowley, to Churchill, to Iron Maiden, to Led Zeppelin, and, then, there and back again, to the pub, when I am an old man.
      I love writing and music, and I do believe that England and the UK is a great nation, in both of these things.
      Contexually, considering your words, I feel that it is relevant to learn about *Churchill*.
      Again, I must emphasize the great tradition of the UK: writing and music, among other things.
      As a Canadian, I am very proud and lucky to have the culture of the UK as part of our heritage.
      Matsimus, I live in Toronto, and, if you get here, I would love to have a pint with you, at my local pub, The Queen's Head,@401 and Victoria Park.
      Thanks again for your writing.
      I have a sense, by your words, that you are bit young, and, honestly, straight up, I am a bit jealous. I wish was young again.
      You've expressed interest in service to the Canadian Armed Forces. In Wisdom, I say:
      "Follow your Heart."

    Hi, there is one thing that itches my mind since a while now...
    I am soon planning on joining the Canadian Army and watched pretty much all the "life in the CAF" videos you have. You often mention how easy it is to maintain a relationship and to have children while serving, but what if my loved one is already a member of the Canadian Forces? I know how frequently one person in the couple gets to move around the country, and I just can't imagine the trouble it could be if both members are away not at the same time! Is it possible to schedule, with the administration, the dates me and my partner get our days off, or to move to the same bases at the same time? Anything to help two soldiers, from different branches, seeing each other more than once a year!
    Thank you very much for your time!

    • @jujulaf18
      @jujulaf18 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +Canadian Armed Forces It is noted! Thank you very much!

      +Canadian Armed Forces
      Also, I wanted to know, what do you consider being "a couple"? By that I mean, if you have any requirements for us to be considered as life partners, or soul mates in order to be transfered together on the same bases.
      Because I am myself still pretty young, and the relationship I have with my partner is very recent compared to an usual relation like most adults have. I would like to have your opinion on what you consider to be a solid relationship. (for example : mariage, or simply X years together)
      PS : Do not mistake our relationship for a simple teenager's date, even though it might sound like it judged by our age and experience so far.

      @@jujulaf18 I served in the forces for 34 years , with 25 of those years married to a wife who also served at the same time, Military marriages are perhaps the toughest in the world to maintain, you'll have have to put in as much effort into you marriage and towards your children as you place towards your career, there needs to be a balance at all times. I know that sounds like something a councilor would say, but it is the truth. It takes a special women or man with a great deal of understanding, and a great capacity to take on both roles mother /father when your gone , or deployed around the world. Military life is very tough on marriages and not all of them last the test of time. But there is a lot of tough women out there that make it all happen. Behind every great soldier is a greater wife or husband... remember balance is key, treat them like gold everyday or you risk losing them...

  • @stattoo32

    Learn French before you join. The 6-8% of the military that are French are the ones who get promoted regardless of their Skills or Leadership ability! Just a tip, language training is hard to get for Anglos; although, Francos get a full year as soon as they join.

    • @stattoo32
      @stattoo32 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ***** Yes we know, thank you. Language surpasses leadership or any other skill on senior leaders board points system by 5 points or more per board member. So sub-par leaders may rocket to the top with minimal leadership, ethics or values as long as the top members they are competing with are Anglophones. That is why 86% of Senior Appointed CWO/CPOs are Francos. So anyone thinking on joining should do their language training first or pay for it themselves because NCM Anglos do not receive the training only Francos do. A double standard perhaps but a fact all the same.

    I have a question: I'm 20 years old Ghanaian-German ( I was born in Germany, but my parents are from Ghana 🇬🇭) . I live in Germany and I have the German citizenship. I'm doing my vocational baccalaureate ( In Germany it's called Fachabitur and it's comparable to a high school diploma) . In NRW ( a federal state of Germany) I have summer holidays and after the summer holidays I will come to the 13th class and it's also the last class in Germany. I want to immigrate to Canada, because I heard that they have problems with searching for skilled workers. And I would like to apply for the Canadian Armed Forces, because I want to make something in my life and I want to make my family proud. So I have some questions:
    1) Are there some ETA immigration Systems on each Canadian airport?
    2) For example I landed in a Canadian airport and I also did my ETA at the airport. Can I apply for the Canadian health insurance and can I open a Canadian bank account at the airport where I landed?
    3) Are there some places where immigrants can stay for a while until they find a apartment?
    4) Does Canada recognize German high school diplomas? If not is it possible to do the Canadian high school at a Canadian school?
