When I say the 1.4 Archon quest destroyed me, it d e s t r o y e d me. I had to step back from the PS4 because I became too emotional. Recording for this comic has been an experience. I really connected with this one a lot, so much so that there's a solid 5 minutes of me just sobbing in front of my mic because I couldn't stop. It really hurt, but more than that I just wanted to tell this story to the best of my ability. ♥
She starts blaming Aether for being dense and dumb but slowly turns that back to her. She thinks she is dumb, weak, useless. Lumine you aren't dumb or weak you saved lives. You made friends. Girl, you deserve the world.
Honestly, this is how I picture Lumine/the protagonist to be like (Probably because I'm projecting myself in her lol). I imagine her blaming herself for a lot of mistakes and hides most of her depression. There is no one who she can truly cry on their shoulder for what she's going through, not even Paimon. She's all alone in an unfamiliar world.
This is somehow how the other sibling must have felt at some point but for different reasons (or even exactly the same) The protagonist is actually going through many things, and must really feel lonely, everyone in Teyvat is involving them in their stories, and I think we all felt it, even when everything will be over and the siblings will be reunited (if they actually reunite, and no one died by that time) things will never be the same as before (Sorry for my poor english ;-;)
If you look carefully, it's pretty the same thing The other sibling got involved into Teyvat affairs like we did, they happened to be there and had to deal with the problem, they couldn't do anything else as they were trapped in this world, at this rate there is nothing to lose so let's go even deeper, they mostly continue because of some sense of duty and because it's too late now, they can't step back anymore, finish what you started The same is true with our protagonist, except we woke up in a peaceful era and have different motives
It’s easy enough to forget when you’re playing rpgs, but to be on an important, seemingly impossible task, and to be constantly dragged into other people’s shit? We explain it away as gathering xp, but I definitely wouldn’t be able to do that in real life. The worst part is, sometimes it’s not even because people are purposely doing it. Like in Liyue. Nobody started that day planning to specifically pin the blame for a god’s death on the Traveler. They were just the most foreign looking person in the plaza at the time, and the Traveler’s fear of drawing the attention of someone who could kill a god made them try and leave, making them the scapegoat.
Meanwhile in an alternate Timeline Aether goes through the same thing but punches the ground over and over again with Geo infused fists letting out his rage and sorrow about how he should have been stronger. Strong enough to protect Lumine, Strong enough to stop Snezhnaya from taking Venti's Gnosis. I feel this in more ways than one on both sides of the Spectrum.
More like both of his vision would manifest. Each punch wou destroy the ground a little and heavy gust and little tornadoes would swirl those rocks around. Untill he falls on his knees and the wind goesbout and the rocks fall. Then he'll simply just cry while paimon would be watching from behind the trees with a worried and a sad look.
I love comics that portray the canonical events of the story and add the protagonists POV to it. In-story the twin never shows or says too much emotion because their blank slate demeanor is to leave room for player input but it's great to see how the actual character would feel going through all those events. You killed it with the voice acting!
It's the same with Aether in this scenario since the two of them share such a large connection with each other. Except I would imagine Aether crying himself to sleep in a tavern or maybe near the giant tree in Windrise.
Dainsleif has a lot of explaining he has to do if we run into him again, I don't care how dark or messed up it is, They Siblings need to know what happend during their slumber. P.S: I use siblings since I know not everyone picks Lumine or Aether so I'm not trying to pick a Side

I watched the streams of the Traveller VAs playing this quest and you can tell this one meant a lot to them, too, the CN VAs especially. Also hearing Zach's warm voice as the Traveller juxtaposed against Sarah's as the Abyss Twin broke my heart even more.

That's what we feel when we choose Lumine as the Protagonist, as a younger siblings even twins in Lumine case she's relied on her brother, so you can feel her despair when she reunite with her brother but become enemy instead. If you choose Aether route, you'll fail as the older siblings, forcing Lumine to become independent without her brother and facing the truth for what happened on Khaen'riah years ago and become your enemies.

This is exactly how I pictured this scenario but with Aether, except when it comes to personalities, Aether's selfless, kind and smart. He can tell when someone's lying, always helps people out and even kids around with some of his friends. I desperately want these two to be back as soon as possible, even after Inazuma or Sumeru. It would really cure my already-tattered heart.
This hits even harder when you remember that the twins consider each other home, so when she thinks "I wana go home..." She is essentially calling out to Aether, which hurts my soul to watch.
They always say "They have enough time". But not just to be Reunited but to find "A New Home" and Enough to Stay in Teyvat. ( That's the reason of why they share the same Fate and Destiny)

That was a pretty good acting job. I swear the fans make comics that make me feel more emotion than Mihoyo ever could. It seems they always hide behind some dialogue Paimon has to prevent the traveller from saying anything.

This is actually realistic. The crying is absolutely perfection. I love how her thoughts are scattered and how she’s torn between different thoughts and emotions. One moment, she’s angry at Aether and then she’s hating herself. It is extremely realistic and it actually sounds like something lumine would do and say! This is absolutely beautiful

This is so good and Im literally crying right now.. and I just noticed that Lumine never smiles and always had that sad look on her face😔. I wish genshin impact would react to Lumine's regrets because i would love to see their reactions that traveller is always sad and alone and how she's been waiting for their help to find her missing brother.

This is exactly how I pictured this scenario but with Aether, except when it comes to personalities, Aether's selfless, kind and smart. He can tell when someone's lying, always helps people out and even kids around with some of his friends. I desperately want these two to be back as soon as possible, even after Inazuma or Sumeru. It would really cure my already-tattered heart.

Saddest thing I've ever seen. It reminds me of the times I could have taken the time to enjoy my high school days. I graduate today and I'm really going to miss the people I grew up with and the school that helped me get ready to become an adult.

That was a pretty good acting job. I swear the fans make comics that make me feel more emotion than Mihoyo ever could. It seems they always hide behind some dialogue Paimon has to prevent the traveller from saying anything.

This is actually realistic. The crying is absolutely perfection. I love how her thoughts are scattered and how she’s torn between different thoughts and emotions. One moment, she’s angry at Aether and then she’s hating herself. It is extremely realistic and it actually sounds like something lumine would do and say! This is absolutely beautiful
