Watching Aaron's expression looking at the trees reminded me of a kid on Christmas Morning. With so many "presents" he did not know where to look. Once the trees they picked are actually in their ground his smile will go from ear to ear! LOL

So fun to see Aaron so excited. I love big trees, too. That’s the trouble with newer subdivisions. No mature trees. They look so stark and bare. When I lived in the mountains in Utah, there was a guy who had a “big tree moving machine” like that. It was many years ago and it blew me away to learn giant trees could be moved in this way. I’m really excited to see what you’ve picked out.💚💚💚

something funny my daughter found out about our dogs and Garden answer: Our girl labs, 1-1/2 and 10 months old , tend to howl or bark when I leave the house. Since I listen to garden answer daily, my daughter decided to press "the play all" button on your Garden answer highlights TH-cam channel; to see if that would calm them down and it did!- Garden answer has always been enjoyable and calming for me and now our daughters (and my husband) put it on whenever I leave the house so that our pups stay relaxed!

We had a 30 year old oak planted in front of our house to replace a 150 year old maple. It was a very expensive gamble since the tree mover wouldn't guarantee it. Six years later it is going strong and looks amazing. If you are in a position to get a larger specimen, it is well worth it!

    • @at1the1beginning

I have two oaks, great shade but OMG at the leaves. My father planted them for me when we built our home forty three years ago. They are massive. Most people are think they're hundred of years old. My daddy passed away twenty years now,an every fall I look up and say, well daddy you told me so. I'm late sixties, an it gets harder every year. The landscaping companies want no less than five hundred to remove the leaves. Probably more now, but there will come a time I'll have to use them. I got slack on planting flowers and shrubs until I discovered Laura. She has inspired inspired me that there's always room for more. I even have a garden this year. Something I gave up on five years ago. Lot's of work for one person, but I'm enjoying it while I still can.

I keep forgetting how wide open the sky is out west! I live in north Georgia where there’s endless forests and hills/mountains everywhere so it is so neat to see how flat it is where you live with mountains in the distance. Truly beautiful, and so is your garden. I love seeing all the trees y’all are planting on your property. I truly understand Aaron’s need for mature trees! We were blessed to move into our dream home/property with gorgeous, native, mature trees around our house. We have tulip poplar, red and white oak, dogwood, beech, and hickory trees. They are much taller than our house and it’s definitely something that you marvel at since they’ve been growing here for years and it’s not something that we could replicate in our lifetime. Trees are symbolic of life itself and a joy to have in your garden if your lucky to have them!

The area where I live (a townhouse complex) was built in the 1990s. This entire development was once a crabapple orchard! When I moved in the buildings behind me were still under construction . One day I was looking out the back onto my deck when I saw what seemed to be either the architect, site manager or landscape designer walk around the only remaining tree from that orchard. He was planning the distance between the tree and the building next to it yet to begin construction. Later I learned that beautiful spring blooming crabapple tree was over 100 years old and he wanted to make certain it survived. In the 25+ years I’ve lived here I have worked to educate the evolving residents of children who were either attempting to destroy or damage the tree in some way.or

I seriously share Aaron's love of trees. (I think I was drooling) Walking between the rows of Snow Crabapples must've smelled like heaven! I'm sure we're all excited to see what you bring home.😄

Arron was so excited and happy 😆. His excitement was fun to see. What a wonderful day you must have had. There were some really gorgeous trees. I wouldn’t be able to make up my mind on which tree to get. So glad the two of you got to have a day away together and you both enjoyed it so much ❤️

Gosh this was such a fun and enjoyable video. I feel like Aaron, one can never have too many trees. I told my husband we don’t have enough land for all the trees I love 😢! The tree farm was so dang interesting! I could cry in the presence of beautiful trees too! Thank you

I have to say that watching today’s film was so pleasurable. Much of your content is soul edifying and restorative, as well as educational. Particularly as I garden vicariously through watching your channel. There was something so peaceful and enjoyable about all those trees. Somehow, it felt life affirming. So, thank you, I needed the pick-me-up today!

Aaron grinning ear to ear is infectious.
You could totally put that gazebo in the back garden. Make a little "tea party" area where the kids can play in the grass and you and your Mom can have a coffee.

TREE ENVY is REAL! Gorgeous creatures! This is my new favorite video! Tell Aaron I'm right there with him. If you can't have a garden have a woods! In fact, every home NEEDS a Bosquet as master gardeners have known for hundreds of years! Plant for the planet! GROW TREES!

Until this video, I had no idea that Aaron loves the plants like Laura loves them. I thought of Aaron as the gadget man, heavy equipment man, muscle man and the deep thinker on projects man. It made me so happy to see him so excited about the trees.

I love free of charge to me, virtual shopping or window shopping without any hassle. Thanks. I am so glad you could get needed trees and shrubs for your friend's new home landscape, lovely larger trees for your expanded yards and that beautiful plant for your Hartley/ home/barn studio office/ or new plant shed.

I love these type of videos. Both of you excited in your elements. Aaron was like a kid in a candy store. Laura is saying we have to get going to our next stop."Oh look! Isn't that beautiful?" Lol So many gorgeous distractions along the way. Can't wait to see those big trees planted and the process.

Hurricane Laura ripped through SWLA in 2020. The amount of trees our region lost was astounding. Seeing 250+ year old beautiful and huge live oak tree uprooted would make any tree lovers stomach turn. Many people purposely cut big trees out of their yards for fear of having one land in their roof or just to not have to deal with it if it fell in another storm...that just broke my heart. I personally lost 9 trees and one of those landed on my roof. That will not stop me...while others cut theirs down, I cannot wait to plant some back! Trees add so much to your property and feed my soul. Having said all that, I appreciate Aaron's love for trees and yours too! I will have that Christmas morning look on my face like Aaron's did! Thank you both for your love and excitement, I know the feeling!
