Here in Central Kentucky USA, over the last several years, we have had 2 or 3 cases of that, where especially young people like to swim in creeks and streams in the rural areas...but it never spread like a contagous disease. Its usually just a freak thing where ONLY one person dies (but obviously even ONE is too many) but it didnt turn out to be anything that mass numbers of people all ran to the hospital to get checked for. Its especially worse chances of contacting it during hot weather when organisms like that are able to form at. So while its traggic to loose a child over, its not really something the whole country should be in sheer terror over.
