Wayne! How is ur channel a yr old and I just found it? Heaven sent! How are you not at a million subs yet? 😮 Every single content creator/influencer, no matter what they do or sell, can use ur ideas! ❤ Top notch!!
Folks I am so excited - my new Canva course is now open for enrolment 🎉😁 - with a HUGE pre-sale discount until 4 Dec only. Called CanvaOS, this is a Canva course like no other and I'm SUPER excited for you to join. Visit createdbywayne.com/canvaos to find out more, and let me know if you have any questions! 🖤🖤
Just came across this video (I am very new to creating reels) and you created a reel that looked professional and really doable for a newbie - thank you so much for this awesome video!
Right? Canva has been the 2nd most used and influential app for me as an artist and creator! Procreate and Canva! Would buy over and over-no regrets! 😂
I stumbled on this by mistake and I'm so glad I did. Even though I've been using canva for a few years now, it's all been self taught and basically just trial & error. But, the information and tips in this video have helped me sooooo much, so thank you for sharing. I've subscribed and I'm going to be doing a deep dive into your account to see what else I can find to help.
Thank you so much Jane! 😊 Experimenting and playing is the best way to learn sometimes...and I'm glad to have you here! 🖤 Thanks for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment.
Wayne, you have great videos, and I want to learn more. As a token of my appreciation, I have subscribed to your channel to keep me motivated and energized.
thank you for covering so much- what is the best way to get Canva reels loaded to Instagram? Do you design on desktop, then retrieve design from Canva app on phone?
Sometimes I do that - just open ion the mobile app and export. Otherwise because I'm on a Mac I will just 'airdrop' the file from my computer to my phone when I'm ready to use it.
I'm genuinely pleased that I've chosen to follow my passion for creativity, although I wasn't quite sure how to go about it growing up where I did. I just wanted to mention that I’m really pleased to have discovered your videos. You are so talwntwd. Feel free to ignore my random comments on your older videos; I'm just trying to gain some insight into your talent. Haha. ❤
I am glad to have you here - and I appreciate all your comments! 🖤 So many of us don't REALLY have the support and resources we need to develop our creative side - especially when we are younger. But you've gotta just keep creating and keep learning. Don't let that passion fade! 🖤
I subscribed, liked your video and also commenting, because you deserve it! I´ve learned a lot and also will be watching more of your videos. Thank you!
Thank you Shellie! I am glad to have you here 😊. I don't have an exact date for the next course enrolment yet but make sure you add your name to the waiting list (www.createdbywayne.com/canvaos) and I'll let you know as soon as I have a date confirmed! 🖤
Great video! I’m going to check out your other content as well. Curious as to what point in the process you would add music to this? Wasn’t sure if you uploaded to instagram and then would add it or if you would choose music available in Canva.
Good question! I have a process that I follow (we actually talk about it in my course) so the music is pretty late in the process UNLESS it's really key to the animation. And with social I would definitely suggest using music WITHIN the IG or TikTok apps etc. They definitely seem to favour content that uses their suggested music or sounds, so I would add sound effects and everything else in Canva, and then just put the final music over in the app.
Brilliant! Do you have any (any) solution for using horizontal videos --->> to Vertical maybe by making use of a mockup? any videos on that? THANK YOU SO MUCH
Hey Catia! I would totally suggest using a mockup or a frame to insert the video, or even make it a square if that works. In this video one of the examples I show uses a small frame for a horizontal video, to make it easier to use in a carousel (or anywhere else!) - have a look: th-cam.com/video/nKp4pK22Bd4/w-d-xo.html . I hope that helps! 😊
Those are actually custom fonts I uploaded. A similar heading font in Canva would be Noto Serif Display, or Lora; and a similar subhead font would be DIN Next. Hope this helps! 😊
Hey Tamara! In these examples the CTA is just to direct people to read the caption, so it's not linked to anything - it's just to tell people what action you want them to take after they've seen your video. If you are creating and IG story you can use the 'LINK' sticker to add a link, but it depends on what the platform allows. Hope that helps. 🖤
Hi! We only finished our last enrollment in June, so it will probably be a couple of months before we open enrollment again. Make sure you sign up for the waiting list and I'll let everyone know as soon as we open again! 😁
So happy I stumbled on your video. I love it. Can you tell me how to got the line. I know you had to do more than press the ‘L’ on the keyboard. That doesn’t work for me. Thanks so much.
Sometimes you have to make sure you have clicked on the page in your design before you hit 'L' to get a line. It can be a little fussy. 😜 Otherwise you can add a line from the elements tab - it's one of the first shapes to be listed.
Glad it was helpful! 😁 Those are just Canva elements! I searched for 'prism' or 'Prism Refraction' and then i just put a few over the background and made them about 50% transparent so it creates this subtle puuuuurdy rainbow light effect. 😜🖤
Hey Frances - you absolutely can! You can upload music or audio, or use some from Canva's library. And you just click and drag them to below the other elements on the timeline.
Given that your three examples are very similar, wouldn't it have been quicker to duplicate the first slide and edit from there rather than having to lay each one out again from scratch? That's what I would have done anyway 🙂
Thanks very much for your comment - everything is crystal clear on the original and we've had no other complaints from anyone, so maybe you could check if your TH-cam player has defaulted to 360p or similar playback?
I use a 360p quality it's still the same as i cannot view the fonts. I'm very much interested in your fonts for the heading and subheading. Looks great!
❓If your style is making videos with motion backgrounds that strain the eyes to see, I really don't get it. The words brand or branding are constantly repeated and I watched the entire video never learning what that means.
Hi Raymond - thanks for your feedback. These videos are specifically to demonstrate Canva techniques, so I unfortunately don’t cover branding in these. And of course - if the style doesn’t work for you or your aesthetic, you should definitely find ways of using these techniques in a way that suits your audience and messaging.
Finally someone doing those tutorials with actual TASTE 😂 Thanks a ton mate!
Thank YOU! That a great comment to receive! Appreciate it.😊

Hey Wayne, is CanvaOS still on waitlist or is it live? Would love to see if it's a good fit for where I am in my business. Thanks!
Quick question - how do you connect the call to action button? Where does that go?
Hey Tamara! In these examples the CTA is just to direct people to read the caption, so it's not linked to anything - it's just to tell people what action you want them to take after they've seen your video. If you are creating and IG story you can use the 'LINK' sticker to add a link, but it depends on what the platform allows. Hope that helps. 🖤

Hello!! I love your videos!! I worked on this one but the image on my video is too small, I don’t know why? 1
Not sure why this would be Monica...you may need to check with Canva is this keeps happening?

Also i could not figure how you added the line without the shortcut (I'm on a mobile phone)
No problem - on mobile if you go to ELEMENTS > SHAPES you can add a line from there 😁
Is there voice reader? Can I put voice to the text or is it only my voice over it?
Hi Wendy! Canva has a number of 'apps' which you can activate to add voiceover with an AI voicereader. It's worth exploring those! 😊
But when i post it on my instgram it tells me it created with abnormal size
pls can u include audio or music in reels like this using canva??
