I think the reason I ride is to relive my youth
I can be aggravated by all the crazy things happening in today’s world and a spin on my bike instantly washes my stress away
It’s also the reason I like traditional bikes like the classic and my old carbed harley

Forgot to say, think it was John MacAdam that first put tar with gravel, hence the name TarMac

Think I've mentioned it before Dave, that my Classic 350 is the bike that I couldn't afford, and my Mum and Dad wouldn't let me have anyway, back in 1963 when I was 16.
Amazing that such a bike is made today, and truly wonderful that it is so popular, never heard or seen a bad word about them, except perhaps from those who've never seen one up close and certainly never ridden one.
Great that you're enjoying yours so much, and sharing that enjoyment with others. Have fun, stay safe.

At 55 I went back to riding after a 20 year absence and after 3500 miles this past summer on my own Zenfield 350, I'm here to say cheers from Chicago

Interesting video, don't see many Telephone Boxes any more, noticed a VW transporter T2 . I drive a 2008 transporter t5 and I'm always seeing old transporter campers on TV and Movies, they're everywhere.
I'll be out tomorrow on the Honda cb 500s. The Antrim Coast and Glens of Antrim are very like Yorkshire 👍 Got me Oxford heated grips fitted yesterday, so I'm ready.
Great video Dave, beautiful scenery 👌

Think everything has been said here. Just wished the ride went on all evening then I wouldn’t have to find something boring on terrestrial t.v.
Thanks again for such enjoyable rides.

Well, that was another delightful ride! Lovely countryside with some great views and a wide variety of road surfaces. Scotsman John Louden McAdam pioneered bituminous roads around 1820, though the use of coal tar in the construction was patented by Welshman Egar Purnell Hooley in 1902 and called Tarmac. Nottingham's Radcliffe Road was the world's first road built using that method. Todays roads use bitumen (a petroleum by-product), instead of coal tar, though many folks still refer to the surface as Tarmac. Asphalt uses bitumen as a liquid binding agent, the end result being a smooth and durable road surface.

Very nice run out there. The Main Street in Dent near Sedburgh also has cobblestones. Makes for an interesting ride to say the least..!👍

That’s so true! One of the reasons I like my Classic so much is that it reminds of my first road bike, back in 1970, an AJS Model 14 250 single. rather optimistically called a ‘lightweight’ 🤭

Excellent ride out! This video just goes to prove, you can throw just about any road conditions at a Royal Enfield, and it will just keep going!

Dave what set up you have for your mobile sat nav

Hi, I use calimoto on my mobile.
I have it linked via Bluetooth to a headset in my helmet from Amazon. It cost me £17 and also let's me take phonecalls. The only downside is not being able to see the route on screen.
Hope this helps, ride safe, Dave
