The Lal episode hits home especially this time. My oldest dog was not doing well and I did lose a daughter 20 some years ago (miscarriage so I never got to meet her) I can only hope that when my dog died last month she would have said "thank you for my life." And I wish I could tell her, "thank you for choosing me" She wouldn't allow anyone to adopt her, but for some reason she chose me. Probably because she could tell I was just as broken as she was. It was pretty painful.
I think Season 3 represents the show really finding its feet and starting to tell the stories it wants to tell. Does it get it right all the time? No, but it has a clearer picture of its own identity and strengths. My top 3 The Offspring Yesterday's Enterprise Best of Both Worlds But there are a few honourable mentions. Deja Q The Most Toys And surprisingly Hollow Pursuits, which I really enjoyed this time around. Mr Worf...fire...onto Season 4.
When I had enough money to buy 1 and only 1 season of TNG on dvd in college, I spent an entire evening reviewing the episode descriptions. I made a tally. Season 2 was the lowest ranked. Seasons 4 and 6 were the highest ranked. I think they were equal. I chose 4 because of remember me I think. Honestly if I had to make that choice again, I'd go with 6. So no, season 3 isn't the best. Not even close, but it was definitely getting better. I gave 0-5 points per episode or something like that.
Sarek was the week my dog's health declined and I didn't think she'd survive the month. It made that episode hit differently. I was watching her decay not unlike Sarek. Sadly I waited too long and her last day.......was not pretty.
outside of the 3 obvious ones, Tin Man is my favorite. Probably because I can identify with it. Crowds give me a headache. It's too much. It drains my batteries. I love it because he found his place. Sadly I haven't.
It's funny I've probably seen allegience more than any other episode because they wouldn't stop showing it. And yet I couldn't remember the name. You had to give me the plot before I knew it. lol

Great recap of this season - plenty of memorable episodes. "Yesterday's Enterprise" was my favorite and was just gold! Thanks @The7thRule ! ❤💛💙🤓🖖🏾
In my last rewatch of TNG, I came away thinking that Season 3 was the top season and had the most solid episodes. Michael Pillar saved the show.

dude! Barkley not only returns to TNG, but is in several VGR episodes as well as Star Trek First Contact.
I love Q episodes. They aren't supposed to be dangerous. They are supposed to be playful and fun. And that's what this was.
what would Geordi do for a Coco Nono! LMAO
