I have thought about getting my long hair cut off so many times. Its very hard to take care of . I feel like I'm going bald i lose so much hair its so long and heavy I feel, like its being pulled out of my head.
Try trimming off a few inches and see if it's easier to manage; you might be happier. Better to not do a huge cut immediately but something in between if you're thinking about going short.
Don't worry, you are still lucky. Thick hair is harder to work with. You only need to study the right combination of hairsprays and texturizing sprays, so as to give your hair an illusion of volume and texture when working on your hairstyle on the one hand, but avoiding too overloading your hair with the said products so it doesn't flatten out. It also helps a lot if you crimp your roots a little, it does wonders really. Hair crimpers are still very useful for this, lucky me who hasn't thrown away that 80s trend tool. 😂 Don't worry, just watch videos of professional hairdressers demonstrating hairstyles and using that average, white European medium- or low-volume fine straight hair. Notice what hairsprays they use upon preparing the hair and see whether same or similar products sit well on your hair as well.
I'm jealous of people with thick hair because there's so many things that they can do with it, Unlike people like me who can't do a whole lot of cute styles like this
The plus for you is you can dry your hair with a blow dryer. Look at the positive. You can dry and fix it. We thick haired people it takes a lot of time to dry. I do not blow dry my hair.
