Buy or Sell: Cedar Point will get a record breaking ride of some sort in Rougarou's plot, and they will send Rougarou to ValleyFair
Please do! Rougaru is a shit ride, and needs to be taken out of CP. Scrap it for all I care. Which sucks, because the layout looks great. Then you ride it, and you get one of the worst headaches you've ever gotten from a coaster.

I'd rather see Valleyfair! get Flight Deck from CGA. That layout is a better fit for the park, but they'd need to reconfigure the waterpark to squeeze it in between Corkscrew and Wild Thing.
@@kevinthompson6986 Call me crazy, but I could see CP replacing their Corkscrew with a surf coaster. It's the perfect size for that plot and could replicate the double corkscrew over the midway.
Buy or Sell: A smaller cedar fair park gets a zamperla thunderbolt model due to the small price tag, and a pretty solid experience since cedar fair is now working with them. This would be instead of a Gerstlauer infinity due to cedar fair not wanting to invest too much into Valleyfair, Michigan's Adventure, Dorney Park. I know this is a hot take, but I think it would be interesting to see for sure.
I wouldn’t wish that on the lowest of parks, those restraints kill the ride

I think it's much more likely that if RMC were to touch El Toro for a conversion, they'd use their new 208 ReTrak product. It's meant to preserve a wooden layout and to hybridize without needing new trains. Especially if we're taking into account Six Flags' unwillingness to spend money, a 208 conversion is more likely to me than an I-Box conversion
So, buy or sell - RMC performs a 208 ReTrak conversion on El Toro in the relative future

The industry will slowly begin to move away from extreme, high-thrill coasters and gravitate towards mid-level family coasters (ie Hagrids, DarKoaster, Big Bear) to make more money.
I doubt this, except for Cedar Fair, they will probably move to more family coasters. However, sea world is changing their image with extreme coasters, six flags is still directly tied to the extreme market, European parks are making so many extreme coasters now, and more themed chains like Universal are making more extreme coasters. Maybe decades from now, but the market is very much tied to thrill.
Depends what you mean by “slowly move away”? Are you saying they will completely stop building them all together or how slow do you mean? Honestly they will still continue to build thrill rides that’s the main thing that brings the crowds. I highly doubt anyone is going to be coming to CP just because they putting in wild mouse or that people are going to BG to ride their new (whatever it’s called) indoor family coaster. Yeah they might help entice or give other reasons for families to choose their park but in the long run people choose certain parks for their showcase rides (steel vengeance, iron gwazi, fury 325, I 305 and Orion are just some examples of marquee rides drawing patrons to the parks)
That’s definitely not true, the parks make more money of of the extreme stuff, like fury has already made back the money for like every ride at carowinds
Buy or Sell: If The Boss at SF Saint Louis gets an RMC Overhaul, they will re-add the Helix before the final double-up into the brake run.
The helix is still entirely there as far as can be seen from the queue, just without the track on it.
Also great video even with you being sick n all. The compilation at the end was funny.
If The Boss gets the RMC treatment and they don't add that helix back in, I will be so disappointed. It was the signature of that coaster, and it's just not the same without it
The boss won’t be Rmced, I heard from someone who worked at six flags at Louis and he brought up the rmc idea to the park engineers but they said the structure the boss sits on is not stable enough for a complete remake.

Haha well i actually am not keeping a spreadsheet of this BUT on my January calendar i am planning on doing a video on the buy or sells that were good or bad. Most of these are too far out to tell though

I think for what happened about the fights, I think post quarantine, people were acting like they run the world and they were roudy and doing whatever they wanted. Also, when I saw the news, especially for Knott's Berry Farm, someone thought while it made sense to require chaperones, sometimes one's parents would be scheduled to work. Some parks like Kennywood prior to the chaperone policy in 2021 have boosted security.
Yeah i wonder if quarantine has anything to do with it. Or maybe its social media driven. Who knows. It just seems to be happening more often

Back in late August, early September, my cousin, who’s the attraction manager at Dollywood, said the next coaster will be in 2026. However, when I saw him yesterday (October 9th), he denied that the next coaster will come in 2026. However, because of how close Dollywood is to Carowinds and Six Flags Over Georgia, who already have B&M hypers, I don’t see them going with B&M, but the first Mack Hyper in the US.
Thats true but i wonder how much they consider what parks 4 hours away have. I guess for people halfway between it matters
@@AirtimeThrills If you look at a map and draw lines connecting those 3 parks they form a triangle. ANYBODY within that triangle is equally likely to go to any of the parks and LOTS of people on the edge of it are too. Outside of Florida and and Southern California I can't think of anywhere else in the country that has so many amusement parks so close together. It's even more impressive when you consider that the triangle contains two stand alone water parks in Atlanta, one in Eastern Tn and another in Charlotte. And there are smaller regional amusement parks in Myrtle Beach and Valdosta Georgia. Having lived in North Carolina or Georgia most of my life I can tell you that YES we will travel 4+ hours to go to a good amusement park.
@@AirtimeThrills It’s 2 hours 27 minutes to Dollywood, an hour 22 minutes to Six Flags Over Georgia and 5 hours 10 minutes to Carowinds from my house. I live a half hour south of Chattanooga, Tennessee. I’d take Dollywood over Six Flags any day, in fact I was at Dollywood just yesterday.
Yes and seeing all the competition is in pigeon forge with the island wouldn’t be surprised if they do something too
The Mack hyper is an interesting idea considering Herschend already worked with Mack on Time Traveler. Interesting.

Buy or Sell: Disney builds an indoor vakoma tilt coaster with a less steep drop to be a better version of Gringotts.
Buy or Sell: Vekoma Tilt coaster going to replace the time warp and flight deck at Canada's Wonderland.
Buy or sell: The other sea world parks are going to start to build their coaster line up’s to be on the level as sea world Orlando
SWSA seems to be building up their ride lineup lately. I'm sure they will get another coaster within five years.
SWSD has a height limit and seems to be geared more towards families so that's an easy sell

Buy or sell: assuming selim is still ceo in a few years six flags will look to sell off some smaller parks and maybe even a mid tier one (like SFNE or SFSTL).

Videos like this and by the numbers are very easy which is why they are part of a series. For Buy or sell i just have to react to your ideas, by the numbers the stats write the script for me. The editing on both videos take longer on both though because of the overlays abd graphics. Top 15 countdowns that are opinion based are the easiest to edit, and the hardest videos to make other than the documentaries are the Events that changed the theme park industry series. Most videos take parts of 2 or 3 days to make. A behind the scenes video would be an interesting bonus idea
Let’s hope STL, they haven’t gotten anything in a long time and it’s sad to see the state of the park
Actually, about Universal getting a new coaster before 2026, it's happening. Concept art already got leaked from Universal Studios Hollywood putting in a Fast and Furious roller coaster. It looks super similar to Pantheon in some ways and it'll be using the mountain terrain to its advantage so I'm super excited for that!

Intamin has astronomical sales outside of the US. They have 7 or more non US coasters in.2018, 2019, 2021. 7 for '22, 7 more purchased for '23'.
Buy or Sell: The Angle of the steepest drop in the world (121.5 Degrees rn) will be higher than the Speed of the fastest coaster in the world (149 mph rn) at some point in the future.
To elaborate a bit outside of the comment that would be shown, we've seen the Steepest drop change all the time, its very easy to constantly beat it, and with many of the top speed candidates closing due to maintenance or health issues, its totally possible that coasters could become steep enough, or that the top speed coasters could close. After Formula Rosa the next closest is Kingda Ka at 128 MPH which is absoultely beatable.
Buy or sell: rmc will start to convert old steel coasters with a single rail design. Rides like the morgan hypers, Manhatten express, and other rough or lack luster attractions. If it can be done with wood It can be done with steel.
Buy or sell, we start to see more of the intamin hydraulic launch coasters, like Storm Runner, Xcelerator, Furious Baco, and Stealth get removed in the next five years
Sad but probably true. I'd really love if they could rework their hydraulic launch model with today's technology but it's just a fever dream.
Wicked Rides Engineering created a 3D model concept for a B&M dive coaster called Goliath's Diabolical Dive to replace the demolished Goliath at Six Flags New England. It seriously needs to be sent to B&M because it would be a great addition to SFNE.

Buy or Sell: By 2030, chains will start realizing that ride capacity has a much stronger correlation to their revenue than superlatives (tallest, fastest, upside down-iest, etc.) and start buying and/or (hopefully) retrofitting rides accordingly.
Buy or sell: The B&M surf coaster will be the first coaster to do stand-up perfectly.
Video idea: rank the coasters that have appeared in movies, such as Iron Wolf in Richie Rich, The Rattler in Blank Check, the coasters in National Lampoon’s Vacation, Fear, True Romance, Final Destination 3, Vacation, BIG, Adventureland, etc.
Buy or sell: Cedar point’s corkscrew gets moved to a smaller park like Dorney
Buy or Sell: Cedar Point's "reimagined" Dragster will include both a forward and backward launch, with a vertical spike(giving them the height record again) and add a few elements after the top hat, maybe even an inversion, which will give them the most epic top 5 (SteVe, Maverick, Millie, Magnum and new Dragster.

Since it’s my home park el Toro is one of the best rides ever for a woody sitting in that back seat is mental. I’m so sad people got hurt and it’s closing again. Even if they do an RMC it would have to be really gnarly because el Toro is a beast and it’s gonna be hard to replace that

If RMC redoes El Toro I feel that the trains will be shorter and that will ruin the first drop and giant camal backs. I think they should keep it as it stands just fix it and do a regular retrack. Keep the same trains.

Buy or Sell: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom takes out Kong and their Boomerang and installs the chain's first B&M Surf in 2025 in preparation for the closure of CGA
Buy or Sell: During the next decade, Six Flags further expands their chain. Including Saudi Arabia, they plan and build parks in China, UK and potentially Germany, Japan and Australia.

nope, they can get more ROI at other parks, that's why Carowinds & Wonderland have gotten more, They also have better demographics of the area, fast growing cities, etc..
@@grobble8954 if BGW sucks up enough market share with all their new rides that means KD attendance will go down. ROI for Cedar Fair might be a matter of keeping up. Competition usually promotes growth

@@kevinthompson6986 IMO the parks owned by other chains that really make sense for SEAS would be SF Great Adventure and Discovery Kingdom. SF would really only possibly sell Discovery Kingdom and only if things go much more south than currently for them.
