The best is that Bob doesn’t even know Peter's name, which is the most perfect allegory- Family Guy keeps picking on them out of spite and jealousy, but Bob's Burgers doesn’t stoop that low, it keeps going and doing what it does best

The closest thing Bob's Burgers has done to a crossover was when it appeared on Archer for an opening bit.

I love it when FG mocks BB's animation despite having the laziest, most unimaginative, and 'mass produced' feeling animation on TV.
The animation since season 7 has been so stiff and robotic, they just stand completely still and don't even blink. Don't even get me started on the mouth movements and walk cycles.
They're the only ones they have a chance of challenging because they're just below them.
@CipherRage-tp5ql I love the animation in season 4, they should've stuck with it. It wasn't as low-detail and rough as season 1 and wasn't robotic like season 7 onwards.

At least, at one point, the Simpsons WAS funny and intelligent, and family guy would occasionally have a small snippet that was funny or a single unexpected joke that was funny.
Bobs burgers never really hits. The only good scene in the entire show was the one where Bob has the meltdown at the baseball park because Gene calls it “my dad’s restaurant” and misses the opportunity to advertise.

I feel like the writers at family guy do this intentionally... Yet they did it to the Simpsons and South Park before them. So it's either they're trying to get recognized by them, or that they're just appealing to there audience. Since all of those shows are basically in the same category. I think Bob's Burgers is out performing all of them just because they maintain exactly what each of those shows USED to be when they first started. If you watch the first season of South Park, The Simpsons, and Family Guy they are all radically tame in comparison to what they are now. Yet Bob's Burgers is legitimately unchanged and just as wholesome and funny as when it first started.
I think the frustration that Family Guy is demonstrating is exactly the same frustration that the writers on The Simpsons and South Park both have for Bob's Burgers. It's just that Family Guy will at LEAST own up to it.
I'm honestly starting to legit wonder if there any people left on "Family Guy" who really want to work on it anymore.
That is bound to happen when a show runs far too long.

It’s actually annoying that people don’t get the jokes here are all good nature and about making fun of Family Guy itself then actually Bob’s Burgers. Family Guy is still the most popular animated show on Fox. Much of the production staff is friends of the Bob Burgers team. Family Guy is a topical roast style comedy show while Bob’s Burger is more story focused and character driven show. They occupy two very different spaces.
To add, if they aren't friends, then they previously worked on FG or do work for both shows. Animation doesn't really pay the bills. It's a small pond. The "rivalry" of animation isn't what it was and even when it was there, it was for such a brief time. Everyone needs each other to survive and we get professional teasing. It's not the early 1950s anymore. This is good.
Everyone in these comments really wants there to be genuine bitterness on Family Guy’s part, when the it just looks like good-natured ribbing where Family Guy is only poking fun at itself. The Emmy gags are pretty funny and actually acknowledge the other show’s success without any mean-spiritedness

Family Guy is actually making a lot more money than Bob’s Burgers and killing it in the ratings compared to them. BB just kind of leeches off of FG’s success to stay on the air.

A quick look at the ratings for both Family Guy and Bob's Burgers and a comparrison between the numbers will show that although FG's ratings _are_ dwindling, they're still outranking Bob's Burgers by about half a million to a million viewers per episode.
@lennypayne4241 I believe you did not do good enough research. According to the tv ratings guide, Bob's burgers get 1.56 million views with a 0.53 ratings while family guy gets 1.37 million views and a 0.48 ratings.
After all, family guy lost its sunday animation block and was switched to Wednesday night, which didn't happen for over two decades.
Even if what you said was right, Artistically Bob's burgers is a better show. There's a reason why family guy writers have blatant jealousy toward's Bob's burgers as from the video. They know they aren't the golden child anymore.
Yeah when you lose your Sunday primetime slot, you know you can't compare anymore. Family Guy always punched down on Bob's Burgers, now they have to admit they're the better show and it must eat Seth alive knowing that.
Seth probably doesn’t care considering he hasn’t written for the show in over a decade, he’s just a voice actor for his own show at this point.
Seth did an interview like 15 years ago saying he wanted the show to end in its seventh season for creative reasons. If anything, what might be eating Seth alive is that Family Guy is still on the air
Seth has wanted Family Guy to die for years but Fox keeps renewing it so he only does the voices and collects the checks

I love how south park rips on family guy but when Seth McFarlane almost said south park was jealous he stopped before saying so because south park is so much more successful.
However, the creators of south park never ripped on American Dad which is another great Seth show, showing its not a personal thing, they just like following storyline format.
