I agree with a lot you said. But it’s a fact that most rap music glorifies violence and drugs and has negative effects on listeners.

You’re absolutely correct and the black youth are the primary recipients.

You don't need a college education to be an electrician, plumber, carpenter, HVAC, welder, etc. You just need to find another person / business in that industry and apply for an internship to learn that skill. This also applies to truck driving and many other professions. Now, you can certainly go to college for those professions, but it's not needed. Because ultimately the individual is going to need x number of hours in training on the job, it doesn't matter how much college time you have.
Furthermore, you don't need money to go to college, there are grants available to anyone who applies. I got several of them, and I came from a poor family; and I was a high school dropout with terrible credit. I obtained my GED and applied for the grants. Short of being physically or mentally disabled, most people have options - whether they would like to exercise them or not is a whole other conversation. I would never sit behind my computer and pretend I know what it's like to be someone with severely limited choices. However, I do live and breathe the same air on this planet, and I'm aware of the choices and resources that are out there. I would hope anyone struggling with making the right choices might choose the harder route. Life is hard. Being successful is hard. Being poor is hard. Pick your hard. 🙏

In my opinion, I feel like rap is one of the best forms of expression there is in terms of music and it’s up to the creator/rapper/artist to decide wether they’ll use it for good or for whatever they see fit; a mic is like a tool yk, you can use it for almost anything

Everyone loves rap but black women... As the genre advanced it is derogatory.. Not white people black women in America don't love the genre as a whole that is promotion of killing, drugs ho' and sexualization.
I is the quantity all other people do not put derelict music as their general listening content unless it is the promotion of black derelictions..
And I am black I don't mind good rap.. But honestly speaking is that what is promoted. The worst is they take men of my skin color to lead women and children into debauchery.
Black women barely support black men in rap anyway anymore.
It is the gangstas rap thug rap promoting drugs..
Incantion and witch craft to a good tune. It is called programming for a reason
Why do people talk about positive affirmations
Can we not corelate rap or how black men take contracts to promote themselves on media with the correlation of low educational standards of black boys, the I don't date black women, or all women are prostatitis.
Black men will feel different when they start promoting demasculinization of them because it will affect them directly..
And it is coming and I will sit watch an file my nail's and mind my businesses
My father always said be careful what you watch and listen to because it will become a part of you mind frame

You sound old , and thats a good thing . I'm 28, most black women I know listen to this type of music...they go to the concerts.... Are you serious???? You must be new to the Internet .. Black Women have been showing out just as much as men now. Cardi B ? Megan the Stallion ? City Girls? You are clearly one of those feminists

Listen I’m from Brooklyn ny . Rap music definitely has a negative affect on the community especially now with these 808s frequency .

    • @acesanders5035

808 is a low level frequency... If you google it you will see that it causes "Discomfort from, Sensitivity to, and Irritability from Noise. Discomfort, sensitivity to noise, and irritability are other effects on human health due to exposure to low-frequency noise."

Rap Music has absolutely DESTROYED the image of black people worldwide. We are now synonymous with gangbangers, thugs and drugdealers.

Rap/Hip-hop in its purest form is beautiful music and has helped change the world by expressing what goes on in the hood through music as well as some issues we encounter on a daily basis being black in America.
But, the sub-genres of Rap are truly harmful to anyone who listens to it. May not affect you the same way it affects the next person.
I’ll leave you with this. These rappers start off in the “Hood” rapping about what’s going on there…then they get a deal, move out the “Hood”, get deals that make them and they’re family millionaires, but still rap about the “Hood” like they still there….their kids go to private schools..they live in gated communities…they say F the police but are surrounded by of duty police. Rap artist contradict themselves all the time…they make profit off of sex, drugs, killing, etc…

Bro one of the best way to be seen as as making an unbias presentation or conclusion is to comprehensively narrate the perspectives of both sides of the coin. You seem swayed to one direction, and it comes across as quite bias-driven which is exactly what you speaking against, (even though you made some fair and cogent points). Rap is both constructive and destructive, it depends on the message, and the mind feeding on it, and succumbing to it's influence.

@@cosmicghost811 and why not Jews? Do you think the music will be promoted in the same way? Of course not! List the songs because I can guarantee you that black rappers don’t rap about killing cops, pale skins or gays the same way they do about other blacks….list the songs or don’t speak.

@@aqn619 because most don't differentiate between jews and white people (they're all white). As for the list, I don't have to give you one, you know which songs, just look up any trap/drill rapper's songs (they have songs in their catalog about killing cops and attacking other races, as well as killing other black people).
