Words cannot express the feelings I’m having at this very moment. My wife, who is a big fan of Ecco the dolphin had just discovered the second soundtrack to this celebrity sea creature. This has saved my marriage, I put this on whenever I know shit about to go down, but then she hears the first note and starts jiving and vibing. 😍🥶
One of the game VG OST's of all time. And I'd have to grant the series as a whole the award for best OST series wide. The Sega CD was a letdown of a console as a whole but this title was so amazing it made it worth the price single handedly. What an amazing, immersive experience it was.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. But of course that's only natural since I am in fact you, under a new account in the future. Please stop Miss Suzumiya from doing anything too crazy and ruining the continuum in my absence.
I love the ambient wails of sea creatures in the tracks-not in the official soundtrack release, understandably, but sometimes they really do add that little something
One of the best soundtracks ever this game was a gem. It was given to me as a gift and had it not I probably would have never picked it up and missed out.
And Ed Annunziata keeps saying "NO, I didn't take any substances!" and claiming (after claiming the opposite) that it was based on the Dolphin "research" and Ketamine "research" (John C Lilly) of the 60's and 70's. Riiiiiiight... This music totally isn't written for "sensory deprivation pods with whale sounds". If he didn't take it or based it on it... his fellow devs would did XD. For goodness sake, they had the most "substance friendly Doctor" of the Doctor Who series narrate the game on the Dreamcast. XD
very nice music but i think something seems to have slipped by .... track 15 is definitely not just 20 seconds long in the game ... on the CD i have it runs for 3 minutes and 20 seconds
I think they are both phenomenal and it's splitting hairs. The difference is the sound quality on the Sega CD versions were amazing at the time. It made the gaming experience as a whole more immersive.
@@isabelyork3265Seriously, man. Why do video gamers incessantly feel the need to put something down for something else instead of appreciating the differences? How immature and short sighted.
Well, I think the genesis ost was nothing compared with the cd quality sound of the Sega Cd version. Genesis had like zero good sound tracks barring Castlevania Bloodlines

Hello good person. My wife would like to know more about the sexy tatted hot turtle that's pictured with the star face dolphin. Thanks for your time.
think i like the first Ecco Soundtrack a bit better.

@@lainiwakura4678 Splitting hairs is exactly right. They are both excellent soundtracks!
this is not tides of time it is from the game defender of the future (dreamcast & PS2)
This came before defender of the future.
No this is definitely Ecco 2 on Mega CD. You can find Defender Of The Futures soundtrack all over TH-cam too! This isn't it, though.
DOF had an amazing ST too but was a shitty game otherwise.
Ost for genesis version is better.
The soundtracks for all the eco releases are good. Be quiet and just enjoy the music. We don't need arguments here.
