this may sound so weird but i love that only few people know them. For me, they are my secret silent sanctuary and i don't want too many people there. Success, isn't measured by the number of people who fill your concert grounds. This band, no doubt, has achieved the success who many artists today haven't yet achieved. They have brought their listeners to another world. Where the beauty of music and lyrics are highly-appreciated. More than uncountable teens who constantly shouts and raise their smartphones, Kodaline, has no idea that they are indeed successful than many rising bands today. Their music is pure, well-written and i'm sure their songs are the ones you would want to sing to your special friends.

This song has been one of my favourite songs since I first heard it in 2015. But it is only today when I can appreciate the true value behind this song. The "love" that will set you free really can be anything. It's the love and kindness you have for yourself, which are, in some ways, the same love and kindness you have received from the people you have met in your life. Today is a very difficult day for me. I am grateful to my mom for listening to me cry. She reminded me of the day my high school teacher ensured my mom that I will do well in life. Listening to that story, I couldn't stop crying, for I knew that he (the teacher) really believed in me. After the call with my mom, I immediately thought of this song. As, I listened to it again after months (maybe even years) of not listening to it, each line echoed even more. Suddenly, I remembered the instances my friends have shown their trust in me. And I remembered... how I have trusted myself in the past - how... Although today I weak, there were many days I actually have been strong... I still can't stop crying but I know, deep down, that there is strength within me, that I - this me - too, can be strong like the past me. My face must be very ugly like now, for I have been crying like an overfilled dam. But my heart must be very beautiful now that it's filled with love that set me free from the pressure I have been putting on myself.

I love this song! And Courtney Cox did a great job directing it. Some music videos feel too scripted and/or staged in their aim to appear casual like this, but she/they really pulled it off here. You can tell they’re all really good friends because it truly feels genuine. Kodaline is such an underrated band.
