I’ve been to Panera once a long time ago. I’d rate it just “OK”. I can bake my own baguettes. A couple of days ago I made a copycat Panera Broccoli Cheese soup, and it was pretty good. We keep our food budget under control and keep ourselves healthier by eating at home.
So nice to see different food establishments you share as I live in a small town where these places don't exist , but I love to cook and so I can live vicariously through your videos and make these items as you show them. It's a win win for me! Love your channel, thanks for sharing.
Hi, I want to thank you both for this review. We have stopped going to Paneras because they never put enough meat/cheese on the bread especially for the price. We go to McAlisters deli instead, we’re never disappointed there. Oh…and the salads are quality and good size. Thanks again!

I think they did overcharge you since they didn’t make it a combo. They charged the drink and the salad as two items on the first order instead of upgrading the chips to salad 😢
They also recently added a new soup called Chicken Tikka Masala which is based on the famous dish found at many Indian restaurants. Those sammies looked big and filling! Thanks for sharing! ~Be Blessed
I love Panera! I am big on the Green Goddess Salad and the turkey bacon avocado sandwich, however that pepperoni Baguette looked fantastic! That may be my next order. and yes No American cheese on Chicken! I even said to myself "hey that needs more chicken."

I Love Panera Bread and there Soup my favorite is Broccoli and Cheddar Soup and the Chicken BBQ Sandwich on the Ciabatta Bread .Both of your Looked good and Bobbie your Salad Cucumbers and Tomato Basil I made this salad at home all time to I put Red Onions and no Tomatoes . I don't like Tomatoes. There Chocolate Croissants are very good too and the Brownies and the Brear Claws. Those are ones I have try. Thanks for Sharing the new Sandwich will have try them.
Panera Bread always skimps on their ingredients... You can purchase the french baguette for $3.89 for a whole french baguette by itself. To substitute the cheese, they charge $2.38 extra, for mozzarella cheese. In our area to get that chicken sub, the way it should be made, cost $18.56 (way to much for a pulled chicken and cheese sandwich). To sub out white american cheese is $1.19. I also enjoy the cucumber, tomatoe, basil salad, and have been asking for years for them to add red onions to this salad. Too much trouble to order from Panera Bread in our area...

I used to go to Panera all the time and, their shops were pretty big then, and, you could go in there and, get just about anything, including free samples of their bread and, they had them everywhere and, you weren’t limited to the free samples! After a long day to begin with while waiting on my order, that’s what, I did! Loved their tomato soup with Swiss combo grilled cheese! Not seen any Panera Bread Shops since, they down sized!

Yes Bobbie, I always put red onion in my cucumber salad too. There is a Panera in my town but I looked at the menu online and it's expensive to me for a sub. But I don't go to sub shops normally. I would like to try Firehouse Subs sometime because it's for a good cause :)
btw I can't eat a bowl of chili without a peanut butter sandwich! So hearing you do that with vegetable soup made me smile :) I will have to try that. Please try it with chili!
For every hundred dollars spent there 9 cents 0.09 percent or .0009 go to a foundation that gives some (they have operating expenses) of that money to buy equipment for first responders. If you just give 9 dollars to a local vfd it would ensure they get more money than if you spent $10,000 on firehouse subs.
Nice to have a free standing panera, ours is in a large mall, hard to walk pass there and not be tempted by the aromas, I've never had their sandwiches, usually get the asiago bagel. Seems that the filling to bread ratio was a little off. In ourarea we have a hot mozzarella sandwich, filled with molten melted cheese, never seen it with pepperoni before, interesting combo. John, you're right about the chips from the supermarket, barely any in the bags mostly air, thanks for braving the storm to bring us the video
Panera is one of my favorite restaurants, love this review and a beautiful location as well. You should gotten the caprese sandwich, for a comparison, I know it sounds much, it would have been interesting to see what you both thought.

The video from the commercial looks about the same amount that was on Bobbie’s sandwich. I think because the bread is so long and thick it makes it look like like it’s empty. Last Friday, I ordered the buffalo sandwich as a pick 2 with a bowl of soup. I was not told it was the size of a foot long sandwich and I did not see the picture. I had a hard time eating all of it, but I did like it.
Those sound Delicious. I love their bacon cheddar broccoli soup. I saw it as wal mart and I bought it and it don't taste the same. Taste really watery and not like if you get it at the restaurant

They certainly have jacked up their prices. We went there for soup and half sandwiches and got charged almost 34.00 the other day!😠. Could have gone to Texas Roadhouse or Cracker Barrell and gotten a LOT of great food for two people for that!
We like their potato soup&broccoli cheese soup then we get a muffin or pastry, with those sandwiches I would have to do a half 🥪 and a salad like Bobbie had. 👍
Based on the looks of your sandwiches I would not order these. They look skimpy compared to the pictures! The bread looked good. We love the salads and breads! Try the foccia sometime, it's amazing!!

I agree that the buffalo sandwich should have had a different cheese. I'm not a fan of raw onions, especially red onion. I find that was a bit odd to put in there. I like Bleu cheese with Buffalo items as well. I would get the pepperoni one.
The pepperoni sandwich looked great but the buffalo sandwich looked nothing like the advertisement. Definitely seemed disappointing. Thanks for another great video.

I have always thought Panera was overpriced and not worth it. Their soup was good in the past but overpriced. Those sandwiches looked awful IMO. The baguettes were overcooked and I hate hard overcooked bread. But thanks for the video and review. I look forward to your videos.

Really trying to make a conscious effort to avoid carbs as much as I can being over 50,one meal a day is really what is good for you,trying my best to avoid Alzheimer’s disease,inflammation from eating this stuff just isn’t worth it,whatever I can do to avoid this disease is important to me,my body doesn’t need that stuff,too many people eat with their tastebuds not with what their body really needs,it’s like putting bad gas in your car,big reason we live in such a unhealthy country these days

They certainly have jacked up their prices. We went there for soup and half sandwiches and got charged almost 34.00 the other day!😠. Could have gone to Texas Roadhouse or Cracker Barrell and gotten a LOT of great food for two people for that!

We like their potato soup&broccoli cheese soup then we get a muffin or pastry, with those sandwiches I would have to do a half 🥪 and a salad like Bobbie had. 👍

Based on the looks of your sandwiches I would not order these. They look skimpy compared to the pictures! The bread looked good. We love the salads and breads! Try the foccia sometime, it's amazing!!

I agree that the buffalo sandwich should have had a different cheese. I'm not a fan of raw onions, especially red onion. I find that was a bit odd to put in there. I like Bleu cheese with Buffalo items as well. I would get the pepperoni one.
The pepperoni sandwich was the best of the two. I think the blue cheese sounds very good on the one John had. I love onions.😎😎

I have always thought Panera was overpriced and not worth it. Their soup was good in the past but overpriced. Those sandwiches looked awful IMO. The baguettes were overcooked and I hate hard overcooked bread. But thanks for the video and review. I look forward to your videos.

Really trying to make a conscious effort to avoid carbs as much as I can being over 50,one meal a day is really what is good for you,trying my best to avoid Alzheimer’s disease,inflammation from eating this stuff just isn’t worth it,whatever I can do to avoid this disease is important to me,my body doesn’t need that stuff,too many people eat with their tastebuds not with what their body really needs,it’s like putting bad gas in your car,big reason we live in such a unhealthy country these days
