Joseph, you are a wonderful young man! And it shows that you love your momma. I miss that with my kids. Keep that relationship…..it’s very, very precious!
We call them Pannekoeken because we were first introduced to them at a restaurant in Minneapolis, Minnesota called Pannekoeken Huis. When they came out of the oven the waitresses literally ran them to your table so you got them before they fell. Very delicious!
This looks soooo goooood!!! Joseph you are a sweetie pie, just like Mom!!! And you two make a great cooking team!!! Thanks for showing me how to make "whatchamacallit" aka; "Dutch Babies", or "German Pancakes" or "Pannekoeken" or "Pancake of many names" orrrrr "Joseph's Delight" Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!! 🍃🤗🍃
Joseph cracked me up when he said Stop typing! 😄 You two work so good together! This is a great idea for a bigger gathering at bfast time! You guys made me hungry for it! Joseph and Thomas should make something together for you to taste just to see how they do! Would love that video!!
Hey Catherine hey Joseph good to see you so this is going to be my Memorial Day breakfast so simple I love it because we have a lot of cooking to do that day
Yummy 😋. We also call this Pannekoeken 😘. From those wonderful folks up in Minnesota ☺️ I add a can of apple pie filling usually,or fresh apples !! AND,I like to sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top 😋
Hello from KY love you and your channel and your family ❤️.Great job on the Dutch Baby Joseph! I am so glad your Mom teaches you to cook. Both my son's age 40 and age 50 cook for their wives because their wives don't cook! I always thought it was awful if a woman couldn't cook, but in this day and age it is more common than you would think. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for one day, teach a man to cook and he will eat the rest of his life.Have a great week!!!
This “ pancake of many names “ looks absolutely fantastic! Great idea getting everything in the oven at the same time. Great job to both you and Joseph! 👍😋🥞🧈
Thank you so much for this recipe. My mother has been making this for years but always in a Dutch oven which I don’t have. Just never thought I could make it in a glass casserole dish! I might even make this for dinner one night - who doesn’t like breakfast for dinner?!
My husband is Dutch. From Holland I will show this episode to him too. What very very excellent way to make breakfast for several people at one time. 😀 well yes!! I'm sure trying this. You two together are adorable. What lovely children your blessed with. Hope all is well with your Mom Catherine and your husband too. Margie Kingman Az..
Hello Catherine this pancake is like a large sweet Yorkshire pudding. Theses days people make the little ones also known as pop overs. What a quick way to make a pancake brekkie.❤️🇬🇧
Hi Catherine. I really enjoy watching your videos. I love your authenticity and the ease, affordability and variety of your recipes. And seeing your family members in the videos is an added bonus I really enjoy.
I sometimes use canned pie filling...especially apple. Heat it up in a pan and spread it over the center. Sprinkle some cinnamon and a little powder sugar. Peach and cherry work great too. Love the idea of cooking the bacon at the same time. You guts are awesome! Thanks for reminding me of favorite childhood memories of my German Grandma!
I wished I would have seen this about 30 minutes ago. Our grandson spent the night with us last night and I just got through making pancakes. I would have definitely tried this had I seen it first. All well next time for sure.
🦋 Oooo... I love melted butter! And, vanilla... Looks like a BIG popover, so yummy... Joseph has some good wrist action with that whisk! How wonderful to have your mother living with you!! 💕 I have been baking bacon for awhile... some thick some really thick... I line my 9 x 13" with double foil @350°F. for fast 'clean-up' once the grease solidifies... Time varies depending on the thickness and it tastes so good, like that layer of fat on top of a pork roast... Once, my bacon overcooked more than I liked, saved it as an addition to hamburgers the next day. Oh! ...I add the bacon overlapping to the pan because it shrinks... a short tongs works if I need to flip it over for crispy goodness🥓... scrambled eggs take no time... 👩🏼🍳 The aroma gives my neighbors bacon envy...
Joseph is so lucky to be able to spend time with you in the kitchen. He will be better prepared for life for it. Great memories in the making. Can't wait to try this recipe.
I never knew what a Dutch pancake was although I've heard of it. It looks really tasty and I really love that you could make your bacon at the same time what a time saver! I just know that Joseph is probably a very good cook in his own right having had a lot of good instruction from Mom. Very handsome young man! God bless you guys. Shirley.
