"The winner within is a voice..an attitude. Something that you bring with you and you cultivate it and...carry to every aspect of your life, not just the game." -Pat Riley
Pat Riley (b. 1945 ) is an American professional basketball executive and a former coach and player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Riley talking about players having dinner with Jordan and Jordan using it to his advantage is the same as Van Gundy calling Jordan a “con man” for doing the same thing

25:23 "I think we got a good 3, 4, 5 year run with this team."
2 years later, he moved to Miami 😄

He's a visionary, and unfortunately, the Knicks as an organization weren't working with him to cultivate something big. It's not like he organized the the Big Three in the next few years. It took a decade, but that's the type of future thinking you will get from a man like Pat Riley. He's not BS, but some organizations are all about the now, about the quarter. When was the last time the Knicks were great? And before Riley came, when was the Heat great?

@@Matt-uo9bs one can only imagine what would transpire if the Knicks were willing to make Riley coach & team president
