I lost my dad last year in July 7 his birthday was July 20th the first year is probably the toughest cause you go through the first of everything without out them and your so use to them being there so it’s the first birthday without them the first Christmas without them etc just ask the questions bud I always wondered what my dad did for fun as a kid or what some of his best memories were I never got to ask and never will but you can ask yours while you can….

My last visit was in hospital, I helped him drink and I promised him that I will always do what he has teached me. He was big hearted man, always willing for help, always did everything for me... In my father’s 14 years with dementia Alzheimer’s and terminal cancer his in home hospice was the hardest and stressful thing I’ve ever done but I never expressed it to my father. I made sure he was comfortable and the conversation never stopped. Your song gives me the ability to cry and I for some reason can’t cry from suppressing my emotions for so long. I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss and the battle your father and family went through. It was wild that people have said I would break my back to help someone and I literally fractured my spine lifting my father and carried on like it never happened because my father needed my help more than anything. Four months after he passed I started weight loss and dropped 120lbs in twelve months up holding to a promise I made to my father a month before he passed. I found every opportunity to get my father to laugh and it was mind blowing how I learned so much about stepping up when others were running. I greatly miss my father and his smartass jokes that could cut straight through a fucked up day.

Not gonna lie everytime I listened to this song I get choked up and teary eyed cuz I think of my grandfather who passed away almost 4 years ago. He was the only real father figure I had growing up so this hit really close to home. Specially the parts where u talk about having the final look on his face haunting u and the part where u said apart of u died. I feel the same way

I am sorry for your loss, hope your father found peace and calm, as all good people who are gone. I lost my dad this year, after he got vaccinated after covid vaccine. My last visit was in hospital, I helped him drink and I promised him that I will always do what he has teached me. He was big hearted man, always willing for help, always did everything for me... I will appreciate it all my life. I miss him so much I cant even say or write how much, cause the feeling is so strong and I know he is everywhere with me now. My guardian angel. The same, as your father is for you. Hope we can meet them when our time comes. Our loss is always another reunion even when it hurts so badly.

This song always hits close, lost my dad a few years before it originally dropped and before I was even done with school, so you manage to bring me to tears everytime I listen as I dealt with some of those if not all of the same feelings, but I can not help but listen to this song every so often to reminisce and to enjoy the amazing work that went in to it all. Can't imagine how hard it must have been to record the music or the video, but big ups being able to release it on father's day on top of it all.

In my father’s 14 years with dementia Alzheimer’s and terminal cancer his in home hospice was the hardest and stressful thing I’ve ever done but I never expressed it to my father. I made sure he was comfortable and the conversation never stopped. Your song gives me the ability to cry and I for some reason can’t cry from suppressing my emotions for so long. I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss and the battle your father and family went through.
It was wild that people have said I would break my back to help someone and I literally fractured my spine lifting my father and carried on like it never happened because my father needed my help more than anything. Four months after he passed I started weight loss and dropped 120lbs in twelve months up holding to a promise I made to my father a month before he passed.

I respect my father for his ability to get a room laughing and his personality changed so much over the years but his sense of humor made everything easier. I found every opportunity to get my father to laugh and it was mind blowing how I learned so much about stepping up when others were running. I greatly miss my father and his smartass jokes that could cut straight through a fucked up day.
