- Includes BONUS footage. This is the full story of how Glen Olino found his biological father after 61 years with the help of The Leah and Blair Slog. Glen Olino had never known who his real biological father was, and sadly, Glen's biological mother passed away at 36 years old of cancer. All Glen knew was his father had served in the US Military and was based at Wallace Air Base near a town called La Union in the Philippines. Desperate to find closure Glen reached out to The Leah and Blair Slog who are helping to reunite Amerasians left behind by their former military American fathers, some of whom never knew they had fathered a child in the Philippines. After interviewing Glen and getting as much information as possible, we asked Glen to take an Ancestry DNA test in a last-ditch attempt to find his father. This is the full story of what happened next.

Education before in the Philippines is better even it’s not as sophisticated or modern way to teach pupils but better though. A lot oldies I knew can speak fluent english. Some can even speak spanish.
My grandfather only finished Grade 3, but he spoke English well . Education at those times was very good.

The way he looks and mention the physical similarities that he has with his father is heart-wrenching. You can see the child in him that's been long yearning for him. I'm 62 and finally had a chance to talk to my Amerasian Uncle whose American dad was a World War 2 Gen soldier in the Philippines. Being half is not easy specially at that time & circumstances. Today it brings closure and admittance. It is what it is. We have peace.

Before she died she always tell me to look for my dad she says I can't let you stay in Malaysia you are so different from them u must go back to England look for your dad,she says I am happy to leave you if u find your dad. I would try to contact a Korean Embassy and ask them about the DNA registry they have for adoptees. It’s for children who have been adopted from Korea. I do know two Amerasian girls who were adopted but no paper trail because the wives were Korean and husband were American. At that time children were not. all born in hospitals in Korea. I pray God will send you the people to help and open doors to find your brother. 🙏🏼♥️🤗

Kindly help my mom finds her dad; her father is an U.S Army back in world war 2...she lost her communication with him around the 70's; he tried to get her then, but she refused due to her kids then. My mom was named after her aunt's name...I hope you could help us because we tried the embassy but to no avail...thanks

There is so much heartache in his voice. When he speaks of his parents, you can hear the little boy in his voice, needing and wanting his parents again. I'm so thankful they found his father, he's still alive, that he found out he also has sisters and that they welcomed him ❤💐.

It's sad when you have a little or no memory of your father. My father was missing in action during the Vietnam War when my youngest brother and I were so young. We have no memory of my father and dont know what he looks like except a picture that my mom had. My father and my oldest brother were soldiers for the American CIA during the Vietnam War. He went to war and never come back. My mom is the matriarch of the family, who brought my family to the US, by escaping from Laos to Thailand. We lived in camps in Thailand and survived the harsh camp life and came to the US with nothing. My mom had just past away in July of 2024. Thanks for sharing your story, it brings tears to my eyes.
