The K.C. O-line did better than I ever thought they would. Kudos to them.
Watching Kc's O-line all year i was amazed how dominant they were in this bowl game against this philly D it's crazy.
PFF graded KC's o-line as the best pass-block win-rate in the entire NFL this season. They were better than people realized.
Which shows you the deception the media plays. Everyone was talking about the Eagles 3 Pro Bowlers & 2 All-Pros, but people forgot that the Chiefs also have 2 All-Pros on there Offensive Line. If Kelce is the best Center in Football then Creed is the second best.
Chiefs have the best interior line in the NFL, the problem was at takle. Even still they where good.
Their O-Line was the MVP.
Saving Kadarius Toney till crunch time was wise. Most electric player on any field. The lateral jump/cut he made on his record setting punt return was brilliant.
could’ve won by more if u played him earlier… hindsight is 20/20, brilliantly played by Reid
Toney is an amazing talent
They weren't saving him until the end of the game. He is electric, but it's hilarious to think he is sitting on the bench until it's time to take over. He wasn't used much because Philadelphia only punted two times the whole game. He didn't play much because his defense didn't get many stops.
I love how the wall of blockers formed for him and he was smart enough to follow those blockers! What a great play! Down to the 5!
Plus Eagles "special team's" (they came to stadium in a short bus) were #29 in the NFL.
What goes unnoticed is the 2nd TD that was taken away from Nick Bolton. Miles sanders caught the ball for sure. Sneed had perfect timing. And Bolton had another TD.
The refs calls on what was a catch and what was a catch all seemed to go the eagles way that game. It was a bit ridiculous and then they missed the first awful holding call that totally forced the chiefs to punt and then the eagles cried and screamed because the refs wouldn’t also ignore the hold on the biggest play of the game because it literally could’ve given the ball back to Philly. I usually hate people talking about ref calls but since the eagles started it… that shit was ridiculous. Stupid overrated ass eagles team
Chiefs allowed 0 sacks & did not commit 1 turnover. Cleanest game Mahomes has played in a Super Bowl.
Hasson Reddick was on a milk carton all game. Reid/Bienemy game planned perfectly for Reddick and that monster Eagles defense.

If Goedert caught that ball on the sideline, than that was also a fumble and second TD for the defense. He barely controlled it, bobbling it while going out of bounds vs the RB having complete control but couldn't make a "move" forward?? He turnedthan got popped.
Finally…first show to talk about Eagles’ tight end “completion” on 3rd and long. A punt should have followed that, not a touchdown. That being said, one play (hold) does not make or break a game. (Like Eagles’ coach said)

The rookie defensive players that played. It’s similar to the 1981 49ers when they started 3 rookie defensive backs for the season.
The Eagles coaching staff got taken to school. The Chiefs made a lot of adjustments during the prolonged halftime, and the Eagles coaching staff had no viable response. This is only the 2nd time a team won a superbowl after being down double digits at halftime.
Also the second double digit Super Bowl comeback of Mahomes' career. Wasn't down double digits at half in his First win, but was when wasp brought them back to life.
You 2 are the very best when you break down a football game!! Not as much whining about penalties called or not called. So many awesome plays from both teams made this one of the best Super Bowls in the past few years!! The best one involving the Mahomes Chiefs for sure!! KC ran 'corndog' on the left side with Skyy Moore, with the exact same result as on the right with Toney.
Reid had been checking the Eagle’s DB movement throughout by calling motion plays. That’s how he determined “Corndog” would work - he essentially set them up to fail. Reid plays chess. The other team had a hard time matching him in spite of Hurts exceptional athleticism. It was basically Hurt’s playmanship vs. Reid’s mind.

Going for it on 4th and 6 instead of kicking a fg probably would have been tough. Can't really rely on jalen to get those 6yds since Kc contained jalen to 7 rush yards the entire 2nd half. Siriani saw the adjustment.

I agree. A 17 play drive that is only averaging 3 yds a play. If you DON"T pick up a first down, you are nearly saying 'we give up' and give the ball back to Mahomes.
We have to give credit where credit is due, and Simms nailed the Eagles weakness with pre-snap motion. He harped on that all weak and the Chiefs exploited it for 2 easy TDs.
Andy Reid and Eric Bienemy had been studying it and they were getting the eagles used to seeing them lined up like that but doing the motion they ended up faking in the end. It was freaking offensive poetry pretty much
Amazing coaching by the Chiefs which allowed for the growing pains of playing rookies all year in the defensive backfield, knowing that the strategy would pay off huge if they made the playoffs.
So many G.M.'s would have panicked and sold the future to sign over the hill, high dollar free agents to fill their positions.
Hats off to the entire Chiefs organization for not selling out the future for the temptation to win now.

What goes unnoticed about those 2 TDs by Toney and Moore is that both of them are on 3rd&goal. The thing is on 2nd&goal they had a player running across the field for the motion and both times the eagles switched positions between the corner and safety to take the WR in motion. So Andy and Bieniemy saw that so they anticipated the same communication and switch on a full speed motion. So they told both players to run hard and fast like they trying to get across and then stop go back out. And then ta-da..

The Jacksonville headcoach told Reid & Benimy how the Eagles responded to motion in the red zone. He knew this because Jacksonville ran this same play in game 1 of the season. He played quarterback and coached under Reid. They are best buddy's. Their wives are best friends. Friends helping friends win Superbowls!
They planned it the whole game. They were getting the eagles used that motion so he could be more sure they’d fall for it. Genius

Most Eagles fans have been pretty stand up, focusing more on the Hurts fumble and how the defense failed in the second half.
@@marcvslicinivscrassvs7536 other than all the whining about the field being bad for their pass rush ( as if it didn't slow down ours too ), and I just got hammered over the holding call last week ( on this channel ). No Eagles fans are horrible, and have spent the last month reminding us of it. The Chiefs got screwed out of a defensive TD, and just went out and played the best 2nd half in Super Bowl history.
It was a great game. But all of the "Professional Sports Analysts" didn't give the Chiefs a chance and here we are. So sick of the negativity. I think the proper prediction for this game should have been that the teams were very evenly matched, it was going to be a shootout and who ever had the best plan was probably going to win it. Andy Reid and crew are the winners imo and I don't say that very often.

They also punted from around their own 30 on a 4th-and-2. They were too afraid they wouldn't get it.
One of those punts followed a hold / PI that didnt get called by the refs. When you have 1st downs taken away from you, you tend to play it safe.

The only issue I have with this segment is the 2nd scoop and score. The rules for a catch say two feet down with control and making a football move, but they go on to say that turning up field is a football move for completing a catch. He caught it and turned before it was knocked loose. That's a catch and potentially robbed Bolton of the SB MVP with a 2nd defensive score.
I think all three catch controversies highlight how bad the rules still are. Two feet, but you want a 3rd foot/step to count it? Ball can't cause a fumble but can cause an incompletion if the ball moves? Trapped to helmet is considered control if the player adjusts it after it's on the helmet? I'm not sure they got any of the calls right, but Eagles fans claim Smith caught it and the other two were right. Chiefs fans think Smith didn't catch it, but the reviews on the other two were dead wrong. Even neutrals are struggling to tell what a catch is from this game.
It’s totally up to the refs personal opinion which is stupid and they definitely didn’t go the chiefs way. Def not Bolton’s way unfortunately
You can't tell me that wasn't a catch. The guy CAUGHT it, put the ball away and turned, then got hit. The catch and putting the ball away is a catch.

That wasn't one of Hurts best throw of the day, it was his best throw of the year. It couldn't have been more perfect. Literally 1/8 of an inch the other way, no catch in a critical 3td and long.

That second touchdown from the fumble was 100% a catch. He turned caught the ball, turned up field, stepped forward and got laid out....don't know how they could have called it incomplete when the guy clearly had possession and even turned up field to run....Sneed was just perfectly positioned and made an excellent hit on the guy.
I look at the entire game as sackless....that Hurts scramble out of bounds shouldn't count. Those O-lineman on both teams were incredible
I think they credited the fumble as a sack as well. I remember checking the stats after the game and they had KC down for two sacks. The only reason I think it was that play is because Bolton had contact with Hurts as he dropped the ball.
You could look at it as such but technically being pushed out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage is a sack now.

I remember the time in the NFL when if you "almost" ever went for it on 4th, regardless of distance, you were nuts as a coach. Of course it was at a time when defenses didn’t have all these offense positive rule changes. I do like this faster paced NFL.

Eagles got out played, out smarted, and out coached in 2nd half. Eagles were probably the better team in every possible position. The analysts did not take into account that even though KC had six rookies on defence, when you play 17 games plus playoffs you not a rookie any more. You are battle harden. They are full blooded pros. That all I have to say for today. Have a great spring and summer football fans.

The entire Chiefs team manhandled the EAgles in the 2nd half as if the Eagles were the wrong League.

The opposite Corn Dog the line was in the wrong position. And Coach Reid was trying to call time because he saw it. But Holmes just kept his calm and ran the play and scored.
I felt exactly the same when Philly 'settled' for the field goal on 4th and 6. It was the first sign of the Philly coaching staff 'hedging their bets'. It was a fatal error. Depending on a defense that couldn't stop Mahomes , Andy Reid playing chess against checker players, and Jackson Mahomes warming up to deliver a post-game humiliation to the Eagles, it was glorious. I'd say the Eagles are a year or two out from being able to compete with KC in a game that counts.
Florio forgets, the Eagles defense had only given up 7 points in the first half. It's not a stretch for him to trust his defense in that situation.

TBH (Chiefs fan speaking) I thought they got every replay call right. The Goedert catch was too close to overturn. The scoop and score wasn't really a catch, and the other catch was bad because the ball hit the ground and moved. They also got the hold right, and for the right reasons. I can't believe I'm saying this about a Cheffers game but they absolutely nailed it as best a human officiating crew could've.
I thought the catch calls were not good but I’m aware it’s interpretation and there’s not a perfect view of everything. Hold was right.. wild that eagles thought ref could’ve let that go as if the chiefs wouldn’t have lost their minds over a clear hold right in front of a ref in the big play at the end of the super bowl. That would’ve been a nightmare for the nfl. It’s easy to be okay with calls when you win though but atleast most of the calls actually went the eagles way so they can have their calls and we’ll take the win and that correct holding call lol

One of the key plays that cost the eagles. Hurts fumble for defensive touchdown, special teams punt return that chiefs got to the eagles 5, no sacks, & no turnovers produced by eagles defense cost them game. Andy Reid in past super bowls always had sacks given up & turnovers from his teams, this game 0.
Can you imagine if the Eagles had gone for it on 4th down and failed? A 17 play drive and no points would have been devastating.
It's not that easy to be that aggressive in the Superbowl Mike especially when it's your first one, in my opinion what won the Chiefs their first Super Bowl in 50 years was Andy being aggressive from the get-go

Its so strange as a Chiefs' fan who watches Chiefs' games multiple times to hear these experts like Simms say dumb things like he did around the 2:50 mark. There was little doubt for regular Chiefs viewers like myself that the Chiefs and Mahomes would score a TD on the 2nd half opening drive and make it a 3 pt. game. And when the Eagles wasted a TO to avoid a delay of game penalty only to kick a FG anyway on their first drive of 2nd half, was there any doubt at all the Chiefs would take the lead on the next drive? I mean did he really think that WASNT going to happen? And of course not having all of their TOs at the end of the game certainly helped drive the final nail in the Eagles coffin. I know these guys picked the Eagles so of course they can't be wrong when their predictions dont come true but this is embarrassing for Simms to pretend he was surprised the Chiefs came back to make it a game. If you watch Mahomes and the Chiefs at all, you know being down 10 with the ball and a whole half to go is nothing for them. Do better guys.
Somehow the Eagles defense was in the top five overall and the Chiefs defense was not even in the top 15 and the Chiefs gave up only two 30 point games and the Eagles gave up 5
