    hey Shagell, thanks for your comments. We have been able to remove 7 m3 out of a drum starting with the removal 12 hours after the concrete was produced. Caused by complete break-down the truck wasn't able to drive and rotate the drum. It lasted 8½ hours and the drum was clean, repairing started same day and next day the truck was up and running again. So depends on the situation.

    More than the greatest!!! I hope that the Singapore & global construction & engineering materials providers companies, conglomerates & organizations, including Island Concrete, Pan United Concrete, YTL Concrete Singapore, Raffles Concrete, Holcim Concrete, SINMIX Concrete, Alliance Concrete & so on would be adopting the Ready Jet technologies, machineries & equipment to wash & wet the hardest concrete on their vehicles & trucks at their headquarters & concrete batching plants.

    we had one, takes hours on a lot of build up, must use all the time. but they work.

    Yes it's for rear and front discharge trucks. In fact it is the solution for every brand of truckmixer all over the world.

    You have to wonder if the ready-mix company charges every customer for the volume of that hardened concrete that never leaves the barrel. It looks like about a yard and a half of stuff that came out.

    if the pump on a truck fails you should 'jump' it to unload... there's porta powers that'll let you manually turn the drum...

    The down side is removing the charging hopper, That's a half day job right there. If they had a system that articulated down inside the drum so it could be a daily or even weekly maintenance item or as time permits that would be a much more economically successful piece of equipment.

    • @Blascon2008
      @Blascon2008 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eric, we are a little experienced on that and indeed one needs to take of the hopper when completely fixed. But also truckmixer manufacturers make progress on development of solutions as hinged and hydraulic operational chargehoppers that may flip up or sideways rotate to free the entrance for the boom. But also fixed chargehoppers won't take you half a day. An experienced technician wil take it of in less than 15 minutes and replaces it in 30 minutes.

    A Mixer Truck with that Kind of build up is usually caused by a Lazy Driver that wont climb up and clean it at the end of a pour.

    • @lawrencelawrence3920
      @lawrencelawrence3920 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not always the case, you cannot always blame it on the driver. A lot depends on the mix, temperature, waiting time. The top fins can be washed but you cannot get the back and bottom fins washed. If you do use excess water you hope that your next batch wont be too wet if you batch on top of it.

    • @artisveazey7967
      @artisveazey7967 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Larry Seminoff Most of the Time other than standing by and the load getting hot it's still the Drivers fault. Drivers should always keep their slumps up when standing by. There are some occasions where the pour takes longer and the Mix will stick to the blades. I am a Batch Plant Operator and a Mixer Driver . Not Much I don't know when it comes to Redi Mix.

    • @lawrencelawrence3920
      @lawrencelawrence3920 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its a fine line one has to walk on keeping the slumps up with water. If you use plastisizer you might get away with it for a little while but if you add water especially on a hot day then standby then add more water then standby for ever long the mix will start to dynamite in and out of the drum. This will affect the build up. Only add water when the pouring will be done. Then there is another problem, on many jobs you are not allowed to add water the mix needs to meet the specs on arrival, or the inspectors will reject it. Adding water could affect the air content, so its a crap shoot in getting it right. It could be right at the plant but on arrival it could be different. The add mix chemicals and the heat of the cement affect the volatility of the mix, which could cause drum build up.

    • @artisveazey7967
      @artisveazey7967 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. We do add water if we have too but not on a State Job or an engineered Job. Regular House Slabs and sidewalks etc. We do but don't get out of hand with it.

      Artis Veazey Same here. Our residential is not as strict as government jobs. Some of the government job specs are totally unreasonable tested by people that are only book smart.

    Badlo Thanks for your reply. Out of your reaction we can read you haven't had the opportunity to see the Ready-Jet on the job. Even last week we removed out of 2 drums 4 cubic yards each. Although the Ready-Jet is developed for regular cleaning (1 cubic yard). That amount will be removed by one track.
    How do you think about Health and Safety? Are you known with the chipper in California last Januar? sacramento.cbslocal.com/video/8274746-man-killed-while-cleaning-cement-truck-in-tracy/

    you need to hire a driver that knows how to properly wash up after a cement pour

    • @Blascon2008
      @Blascon2008 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      partly you're right we think. But in most cases we experienced that there are a lot of outside situations that make concrete sticking to the blades and drum. Weather, concretemix with special additives, traffic, brake downs etc.

    • @motogreg
      @motogreg 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Blascon2008 i guarantee if you looked in the back of my cement truck there isnt build up anywhere near that, my boss would lose his shit if half as much of that came out of my truck after a drum cleaning

    • @Blascon2008
      @Blascon2008 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +fah q
      Might be that you meant to tell what i'm writing now but it is not possible by only looking into the back of the drum from the platform to see if there is any buildup. For that one needs a camera on a stick or to jump in and take a look on the "backside" of the blades.

    • @motogreg
      @motogreg 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im in canada and after watching it again our mixers are different. My company uses London mixers, you can wash almost everything from the platform. I would recommend that your drivers rinse their drum out after everypour to avoid that, youve got to be losing alot of room in the drum due to all that built up dried concrete

    • @MrShanghai34
      @MrShanghai34 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +fah q ... I asked our local concrete supplier how he gets dried concrete out of his trucks. His reply was that they use jack hammers or they put useless employees inside the barrels they want to get rid of.

  • @Blascon2008
    @Blascon2008 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice you took the time to reply. Pity that you don't know the facts about HP water cleaning and that manufacturers of truck mixers already have developed easy dismounting charge hoppers. Any idea why they did it? For further information you can look on our website blascon.com

    mlr06121974 Thats the measure between a good concrete driver and one that doesn't care! personally i refuse as a mechanic to jack hammer any of someone's mess although some companies expect their mechs. to do it i will not.

    • @Blascon2008
      @Blascon2008 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Billy, it's not only jackhammering but also hazards as falling chunks that already have injured and killed experienced chippers. Only recommandation for concrete buildup removal out of this permit required confined space is the Ready-Jet system.

    its all bull shit u have to cut your charge hopper off the 1 in the video was a baryval mixer with the top arch cut through the middle there is then no way for the charge hopper to fit back on
    so it adds to the cost if u have to take your mixer to some 1 else to be fixed and if the jets of water are so strong to cut out concrete wont they cut through blades that are thin and ready for a re-blade take it from me it dosnt work
    plus if any 1 wants any mixer repairs or spares ring APD mixers
