I love traveling in Arizona in the Fall! I enjoy the Happy Jack area and places off the 260, between the I-17 and Show Low. Lots of places to camp. There are also some great camping spots off Lake Mary Road running south of Flagstaff, as well as Hwy 87. Enjoyed this video! 😀
@@DebZaragoza Hi, Deb! Thanks for watching! I am going to start scouting Arizona in the next week or two. I will definitely take a look on the map at those locations. Some interesting town names in Arizona.
Kenny, I'm here in Wyoming and this isn't the time to start your way up here the temps where I live are in the mid to low 40's most nights. If you head up here now, you're going to need a heater in your rig. I've been here for 22 years, and it snows within a day or 2 of Halloween every year so that means that probably mid Oct. any farther north. If you're thinking about coming up, I'd wait tell the end of May and head up then but you'll find the nights are still going to be cold and there might still be a good amount of snow. Yellowstone is a national park, so the pups are not welcome and would have to stay in the car. If I were you I'd go south and west as things get colder you might wind up in Arizona eventually for the winter. I'm retiring and selling my house then I'm hitting the road at the end of Oct. so maybe we'll see you somewhere this winter and I can pick your brain about New Mexico. Cheers!
@@kevinelliott9545 thanks for the comment! If I can’t take my dogs then it’s a hard “no” for me. Is what it is, I guess I’m heading south for the winter! I think they call us winter birds in nomad world! Hope to see you out on the road soon! October will be here before you know it! Have a great weekend- Kenny
Congratulations on your continued journey❤
I always like listening to your thoughts and advice. Thanks, Kenny! 👍🤠
@@sjayne27 Hi, Sarah! Thanks for listening to a bit of my nonsense! 😝 Have a great weekend- Cowboy Ken
Any problems with thieves?
@@circlestar8697 no, sir. I have not had that issue and haven’t heard too much of it going on in the National Forests or van life world. Always keep your guard up and eyes out for it, though.
Great video. I have been living in my Toyota Prius for 8 years. For me, not having overhead like a mortgage, rent, or property taxes is a major financial and mental health blessing. I have so much more freedom to live life on my terms
@@ajfeinman I agree. People think I am crazy but I think they are! A Prius makes a great choice. That battery is awesome. And you can run climate control all the time worry free! Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend!
With cooler weather, you may want to checkout the southern latitudes. New Mexico, Arizona, California,,, Or go the other way and check out Yellowstone and Glacier national parks while the crowds are at a minimum. Your call, Stay Safe, keep posting and I'll keep watching 🙏👍🐕🦺
@@MARKCANEER I have some decisions to make. Chances are good I will go into Arizona but I have no idea where yet.
How about the Midwest. Missouri is beautiful cold during the winter though. Best to you.
@@patcrist1357 Maybe! Check out my video here from my time in Missouri. 👉m.th-cam.com/video/B0WmU_j7CW0/w-d-xo.html
Beautiful part of the country. The people there were awesome in Poplar Bluff. I want to go back and explore a bit of the Ozarks more sometime in the near future! Thanks for the suggestion. Enjoy your weekend-Kenny
Thanks for the update video! I think many people are apprehensive about starting vanlife without somekind of money saved up for an emergency. Say a costly vehicle breakdown etc. I know it is one thing I would fear. Appreciate your videos Ken!
@@hotheadedjoelhaha it’s a real concern. I worry about it myself. Glad you like the videos!
Sedona Arizona is pretty neat. Good fall weather. Not a whole lot of time any further north without snow.
@@Yoshinomic-hm8hf I will take a look at Sedona. I have been looking around Yuma for winter. Hope you have a good weekend!- Kenny
Yes, Sedona and below would be a good place to Winter. Many hikes to choose from. Lots and lots to explore. Whatever you decide Kenny be safe and enjoy. Post and show what you are experiencing. We'll be sure to watch.
@@its-me12165 thanks! I still have some navigating and figuring to do for the fall and winter. I think I will look at it all this weekend. I may look at Sedona! Hope you are doing well!
