Good practical review... but having grown up caravanning O can assure you that is not the best way to use one. You keep the little trap shut and then pump a little water into the pan before you sit down. If doing number two gently lay a few squares of loo roll around the edge of the water line to avoid any staining or having to use loo brush. Do your do and then pull the lever to push everything into the chemical tank. Shut and if stationary put a little water in the pan again.
I guess this could work if your emptying schedule is more frequent than your filling schedule. Otherwise, I'm not entirely sure if there is a reason behind this design sorry, Naught Goat Farm. ~ Ben
Will the hold down from the 135/335 work with the 345? We have plenty of horizontal space so we don't want the mini sized 335, but not enough height for the 365. Thank you!
You can fill the flush (top) tank all the way, although in the instance of this toilet the flush tank is larger than the holding tank so you could just fill it to about 80%. In the bottom tank you just need to put a small amount of water to mix with the chemical, it should be enough water to cover the bottom of the tank. ~ Ben
Thanks for showing how to use the toilet so well but not literally.
We had to draw the line somewhere, Alex, and we thought is was best to keep our pants on :). ~ Ben
Outstanding demonstration, thank you 🔆

I've have read of this method being used, and I think Thetford actually recommend your method in their instructions. ~ Ben

Why would they make a flush tank larger than the waste tank. Crazy design.

Because it's the same top section as the 365 version, with a smaller waste tank so it fits more places

I don't think this will work, Jesse, the latch points feel like they are slightly different. ~ Ben
Did you ever figure out what hold down kit fits the 345 model? I’m looking at buying one but need the hold down kit as well
How much water do you fill each tank with. Thanks
