Karl, those "tour guides" stole the show. I'm a photographer, and when I'm out on location I get the same treatment. It's one of the reasons I will always be grateful to the Kingdom for having me stay here. * A collaboration next year might be fun. I'll msg you
That truly is a Hidden Gem! I've been all.over Thailand on my bikes in 35 years, but have no idea where that was... Good going mate! You Started off in the tourist haunts of the 80s,and transitioned to the culture and nature enthusiast...fair enough!😊
We were here the week before last. This is one of the most magnificent temples in Thailand temple that's for sure and one that I've added to my list of favourites. It's a place that most people wouldn't know about and definitely a hidden gem. Apparently the head monk has plans to renovate the temple.
It was actually almost my 2nd visit. I got to car park last year but turned back because I had forgotten my drone. I knew I really wanted a drone’s perspective. Cheers
@ will you be doing any more where you talk about the 90’s and early 2000’s. Those are still my favourite videos you’ve done. I love all travel stuff too. The old storeys have a kind of magic about them.
You know you are old, when you realize you were there over 20 years ago, when my Thai nephews were babies, now they are 22 and live in Sweden. It was just finished …the main Chedi structure, some partial interior painting but still rough. In 2009 I met a monk in Fang who helped paint the inside, because I noticed the paint style there in his Fang temple and spoke to him about it. Funny how the world is more connected. Still with my partner after 23 years!
Hi Karl, i will add that to my list! Any more recomendation for trips like that (Medium difficulty) out Sakon Nakhon province? been to wat phu tok, but need some more trip desitiantions when i visit the family in law next time.
lol so funny. Yeah those kids are getting a good education somewhere. I'll bet there are lightning strikes on that roof from time to time. Reminded me of the pagoda in Chau Doc Vietnam I was told to take my kids to when they were each 2 years old for blessings.
Great video! We're getting excited. We will be in Thailand later this week!
Thanks. Hope you are both well
Thanks for sharing Karl. Loving the tour guides enthusiasm 😊
My pleasure. Yes, they were definitely friendly and enthusiastic. Cheers
Your videos make me feel quite nostalgic! Wonderful
Glad you like them! Nothing wrong with a bit of nostalgia. Cheers
Hi Karl nice one again, there are some wonderful places in Thailand and the decoration are amazing. 👍
Absolutely. Cheers Chris
Beautiful, thanks Karl 👍. You were puffing and blowing more than your normal climbs 😊.
Doesn’t take much in that heat lol. I was a bit ‘heavy’ then too. Cheers

Brilliant, getting to the top was almost like climbing a mountain in its own right
Loved those kids singing jingle bells 😊
I was genuinely caught by surprise with that final staircase. Thanks
Spectacular!

It really is! Yes, some of those Monks are very ambitious when it comes to development. Cheers Sam
Hi Karl another I went to in October! And about 1-2 years ago too. Isaan has some great stuff.
It was actually almost my 2nd visit. I got to car park last year but turned back because I had forgotten my drone. I knew I really wanted a drone’s perspective. Cheers

You already seen my new Cambodia video. Cheers
Nice one Karl, another beautiful place, and the girls were very funny.
They were great weren’t they? Cheers
What an awesome & beautiful temple Karl! You sure know how to pick these stunning places! Thanks for sharing 😊
My pleasure Marietta. So many places like this in Thailand!
Happy times 😃
Yes indeed! Cheers
the monk 4:30 sets a high standard with his 22-years there. over that time it looks like he's had very little to eat. that's devotion.
Yes. I thought that too. Off camera I asked him where he was from and he declined to answer me lol. Cheers
Awesome and impressive place Kalle👌
Yes it was Anders. Cheers
Thanks for sharing Karl, incredible effort gone into constructing that place.
These places never fail to amaze me either. Cheers
This is stunning! Thanks for the tip Karl, we put it on our bucket list😊👍

That’s great. You have given me more information about when the Chedi was completed that any of the Monks I asked at the Temple could. Cheers
I really need to head to the North East sometime...
You’d love it. It’s a very authentic experience
Glad to note you DID get a bit of exercise eventually.
A Karl video without you gasping for breath is quite unique. :)
It was the heat Greg…..honest!

Try Wat Tham Pha Daen. I’ve been before but haven’t vlogged it yet

That’s exactly what I thought Mal. They refreshingly knowledgeable and curious for their age.
Filming yourself filming yourself. Why ?
Very strange.
As always yet another wonderful place shown by KT.
lol. One camera was facing forward and one back towards myself. Two angles to choose from
