This is one of my favorite fragrance oils. As my personal rankings go, it’s probably #5 which is saying a lot considering the number of fragrance oils I use. I just love it and I always keep a large bottle on hand. Customers love it and it always sells out!
Wow the base layer is so blindingly bright on the pour and the swirls in the top layer are just mesmerising, Julie you are a true soap master artist, what is on the end of the teaspoon you use for your micas and texturing the soap top if you don't mind me asking. I wouldn't judge the fragrance I bet it does smell amazing I do like the orange scents. 🧡😍
Hello, you make beautiful soapbars. I wander what do you do with the smal pieces you cute on the beginnings and the ends? Do you melt them or become they little soap samples?
In your odds and ends sample packs, do you individually shrink wrap each soap in it and do you still have to put a label on each one? Or do you put all this information on the actual big package itself? I like the idea of the sample pack but it seems like a lot of extra work of each has to be wrapped and labeled like a regular full size bar. Thank you!
I always love watching your videos, had a question. I'm new to soap making. When you add your milks do you subject it from something? I have seen others use milk in their lye water but when I tried it made it turn brown. So I'm looking for a better way. I see you add to the oils.
Straight Lye will scorch the milk if the milk isn’t frozen. If you’re doing 100% milk replacement you would want to freeze the milk in ice cube trays and slowly add the lye over the frozen milk…stir it then add more lye and repeat until all your lye is mixed. I like to add milk as an additive straight into my batter. It is technically part of your water but I do such a steep water discount I do not discount anymore for the milk.
Wait I'm confused. You added the lye to your hard butters and weighed the oils out separately and added your milk to the oils? Interesting. I like the idea of adding the milk to the oils because when I mix with lye in replacement of water it gets funky

For the odds and ends I label the bag it comes in. I use the same base recipe for all my soaps. But I don’t label each individual soap.
May I ask where you got the scraper that you use to clean off the log splitter ? Such a cool tool
I believe I got it free with a webstaurant order. But it’s just a “plastic bench scraper”

It’s a 25 pound mold and it holds 270oz of oils

Yes the milk is part of your water. I use 3oz of milk I take away 3oz of water. I just add it as an additive :)
