I am in awe of Rizzo’s ability to recognize actors by their voice alone. 😮 I usually see a face and think “where have I seen them before?”
😅 thanks. It’s a gift
@@PinkPopcast As someone who also has this gift but a slightly worse version, I also love Rizzo's constant shout-outs to the actors. I'll recognize a voice or a face and know them from something no one else remembers. Like yeah, that actor WAS in a Marvel movie and that will come to me in a second, but they were also in a commercial for cold medicine back in 2003, and that's where my brain goes.
I’m the same way
This Dracula is my favourite, he's so over the top, and he throws a helluva party 🥳
🧛🏽♂️🧛🏽♂️🧛🏽♂️
The brides of Dracula were EVERYTHING. 💅🏻✨🧛🩸
Yes they were! But their eyes are up HERE 👀
Fun fact, the actress who played the dark haired bride is "Dracula"'s real life wife! They got married the same year this movie released
Yep, Rizzo and Benji are definitely going to have to react to Underworld (2003) now. Funny how Kate Beckinsale went from beautiful vampire assassin who falls for a werewolf (ahem, Lycan) to a beautiful human assassin who hunts vampires and who's brother *becomes* a werewolf. (FYI, I've always loved her outfits in this movie. Her fight clothes feel practical yet still feminine, and her masquerade dress is chef's kiss). 😆🦇
Oh it definitely on our list!
Omg yes yes yes yes yes
“Why does it smell like wet dog in here?” Enter the eye roll of the century. 😂
A roll that could win me money in Vegas
OMG- I’m with Benji on this one, I LOVE THIS MOVIE! The dramatic theatrical acting is so memorable!!! Honestly one of the best Dracula performances I’ve witnessed. 😂
👹🧛🏽♂️
Benji liking van helsing and loving the movie as much as i did makes me like them even more now!!!! i was obsessed with this movie as well when i was a kid
Oh it’s in his blood 🩸
Obligatory trivia: Dracula and the dark haired vampire bride met on this movie and got married shortly after. Dracula is also the Duke from Moulin Rouge. And Benji, I quote this movie a lot too. “I’m a friar. I can curse all I want. Damn it.” and “Don’t be boring. Everyone who says that dies.”😄
Omg I had no idea!! Also great lines 😂
He's also Sherlock Holmes in a pretty weird adaptation of _The Hound of the Baskervilles._
@@HuntingViolets I became a little obsessed with this actor after seeing Van Helsing
and I watched that version. It’s been ages since I watched it. I wonder what I would think of it now.
@@PinkPopcast Yeah😊I think they have 3 kids now. And I still find it weird seeing him in Moulin Rouge. He’s actually a good looking guy and he’s so creepy in that movie😄
I always loved how dramatic and over the top this movie was, this Dracula and Gary Oldmans were my top 2 favourites
Best Draculas!
only certain actors can make the over-the-top acting feel convincingly real to the characters, & Gary Oldman is a master of doing it not in a cringe way lol
Lol I would do the same thing that Benji said he did after watching this movie so many times. I would turn it off just as Anna ran in and be like "omg I can't believe everything worked out and everyone lived and they rode off into the sunset together!"🤣🤣
Hahaha best ending ever!
What's so funny about Hugh Jackman being cast as a big, burly, hairy man is before that he was a high ass tenor doing pirouettes on Broadway.
Heehee he’s a good actor!
Loved this movie so much when it came out that I saw it twice in theaters lol Also Kate Beckinsale's and Hugh Jackman's chemistry is 🔥
🔥
Stephen Sommers and Bob Ducsay were a perfect team! The Mummy movies, Van Helsing, The Jungle Book in 2004 (please react to that one day). Their movies always remind me of the classic Hollywood adventure movies. They really should have headed the Universal Monster Universe.
Absolutely!!
This is a cult classic and always watch when I see it on tv or streaming! Has one of the best werewolf designs I've ever seen for me! I love this movie and Kate Beckinsale is amazing! Her in underworld is also a must watch!!!
EXACTLY!! Also underworld is definitely on our list because Rizzo hasn’t seen any of them
@@PinkPopcast yessssss lets go! I'm so excited for that!!!
I can’t y’all sounded like the vampire from sesame street in the beginning😂😂. I’m so sorry 😂
😂😂😂
The werewolves in this look SO GOOD... I've always been upset that the third Harry Potter movie didn't have this exact design (and rather opted for "weirdly hairless wolf-monkey hybrid" instead).
Ugh, thanks for reminding me of the were-chihuahua 😤
Hahaha I love that design too… but it wouldn’t be my pick for “Official Werewolf” 🐺
I mean there was a reason he looked like that in Harry Potter. From what I remember he was drinking Wolf's Bane and other stuff to keep himself in control when he was a Werewolf, and I think starved himself when he was one
I will forever say this movie still has the best werewolf transformation I’ve ever seen in a movie the fur and skin peeling off looked so good even for the time. I absolutely fell in love with Kate because of this movie (and of course underworld) and the brides!? ATE the flowing, sexy dresses while literally tormenting this small town slayyy.😂
My favorite quote: “if you’re going to k*ill someone, k*ll them don’t just stand there talking about it” 😂 did all that talking all movie and didn’t burst a grape
That’s a top line for me too!!!
@@PinkPopcast now we have to convince you guys to watch ‘Warm Bodies’ (2014) the oddly heartwarming zombie romance 😂and the cast is actually pretty stacked.
Happy early birthday, Benji!! 🎉🎉
Thank you!! 🥰🥰
Thank you!! 😁
This movie has my favorite Dracula, my favorite "Frankenstien", and my favorite modern werewolf depiction. Universal tried making a "dark cinematic universe" after this and it failed so hard; odd because they nailed it in one with this movie!
I know! I wish they would have trusted themselves with this franchise!
You guys should watch INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE for more horror-esque camp fun!
The movie?? We really want to!
Yes, Tom Cruise really killed it as Lestat!
@@PinkPopcast watch the series pls😭
I love the mix when one of you has seen and loved a movie while the other is seeing it for the first time! And quoting the film is fun. Ignore the haters.
🫶🏽 holy shit thank you so much! We need that encouragement 🙆🏾♂️
Yay so excited for spooky season videos! Happy almost birthday Benji! The main thing I love about this movie is the costumes Anna’s corset fit and red coat plus a sword my lesbian heart! And the brides devoured their outfits.
Oh the costume department ATE with these costumes!
You two and the reactions have been so comforting the past weeks 🌼
Aww thank you! I’ve enjoyed our picks too!
This was my favorite movie growing up. I've seen it probably 100+ times. So glad yall watched it on the channel ❤
We are too 🙌🏽
You mentioned the mummy, would love to see a reaction to that even though you’ve seen it before!
Also saw someone’s comment talking about constantine with keanu reeves, that would also be a fun reaction!
Oh we love BOTH of those movies!!!
This reaction is one of my new favorites. Van Helsing is so underrated and I love seeing you guys give it the love it deserves! 🩷
🥺🥺🥺 thank you so much! We love being able to watch the films we want to!
One of the most underrated and underappreciated movie masterpieces of all time!
Love all the steampunk themes!
I always love a good steampunk movie!
Still have it on VHS from the time I watched it so many times as a kid and I'm never giving it away!
Yes!! Everyone needs to experience this movie!
I love this film so much ! So rare to see people react to it cus its not exactly new 😅🤣. Also happy early birthday Benji! 🫶🏻🥳 also the vampire wives were 100% a part of me realising i liked women growing up 🤣
They’re iconic!
Kate Beckinsale was such an icon in this movie, I wanted to be her so bad 😂 I cried so hard when she died in this movie
😭 she was iconic! Definitely would have brought her back had there been a sequel!
@@PinkPopcastkinda like an Electra moment 👀
when i was a kid, my mom thought i had a crush on Dracula’s brides. the whole time, i wanted to be them 😭
Heehee - sometimes we gotta figure things out in our own time 🤫😘
I'm obsessed with how much Benji knows this film by heart😂 also it's great to see y'alls faces, this week has been a tough one so I appreciate the content💜
I’m so sorry 😢 I hope things get better for you 🙆🏾♂️
interview with the vampire(1994) and Dracula untold(2014) are my all time vamp favorites. Could watch every day honestly
Also hotel Transilvania(2012) but don’t judge.
No judgment haha
ONE OF MY FAV MOVIES EVER!!! Like omg the “I WANT TO LIVEEE” lives rent free in my head.
😂😂
Love Benji quoting everything and Rizzo guessing everything😂 next maybe y’all should watch Stan Helsing 😜
The comedy right??? 😮
@@PinkPopcast 👀
So Van Helsing is my best friend’s favorite ‘Halloween’ type movie and Sleepy Hollow is my favorite ’Halloween’ type movie and we do not consider spooky season to have started until we have each watched our favorite one lol. Definitely sending her this so she’ll watch her movie since I’ve already watched mine twice this season lol.
Oh my god we love that! Best friends forever!!!!
Oow I LOOOVE this movie soooo much. This Draxula is my absolute cup of tea. Him and Aro from Twilight would be ultimate power couple
Omg THAT is a movie I would kill to see!
I thought I watched this a lot when I was young but damn Benji you were reciting this word for word lmao
Yup!!!
Happy early birthday, Benji!! 🫶🏽🫶🏽
Ooh, when's his birthday? 👀
Thank you 🥰🥰
sept 23rd ❤️
@@PinkPopcast Oh awesome, mine's the 28th! 🥰
I feel like y’all would really love Deadpool. Just the first one
and maybe 2020 Birds or Prey movie
One of these days we will venture into Marvel movies!!!! 🍿
@@PinkPopcastJust do Deadpool & Wolverine, even without seeing others it’s hilarious! It’s..like a musical action movie
Omg today is my birthday (20th September), I don’t have anything else to say lmao, but i just felt like sharing that with the class 💀
Wishing a happy almost birthday to Benji :D
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! 🎉🎂🎁
I wrote a paper on this movie in my film studies classes, this movie is phenomenal
Oh damn I would LOVE to read that!!!
Benji and I watch this movie the exact same way; good to know I'm not alone in memorizing this 2004 treasure!
Heeheehee you are NEVER alone!
I used to watch this a lot as a teenager lol. I actually, still to this day, get some skin care products from Marishka (Josie Maran). Apparently the secret to eternal youth is not just blood, but Argan oil. Unleash your inner vampire bride 🦇
😂😂
OMG THANK YOU!!!! This movie unknowingly defined who i am to this day since i watched it a million times as a kid and quote this movie without realizing its from this movie. I also compare all supernatural beings to this movie and nothing lives up to this honestly. I just showed my friend this movie and in rewatching it over ten years later and it still holds up. Thank you for this
You are so welcome!!!!
Omg one of my favorite movies i would get stares and silence when I had to introduce myself in class and I would say this was my favorite movie😅
Yes, it was in the haunted house at Universal, and they would also show how they did the sets in their Special Effects Stage show they used to have. . .i miss that😢
Aww that’s a great favorite movie!!!
Felt super rare to actually kill off the female love interest.
I don't love the ending cuz I wanted a complete happy ending. But I can appreciate it lol
At least they’re all… in Heaven???
I thought that for years, but as an adult but I'd rather be with my family to be honest.
@PinkPopcast
I actually commented this before finishing. Now after finishing.
I love that Benji had that same reaction on why this couldn't be his "number 1"
Lol
Happy almost birthday Benji!
We’ve seen it before but that would be a blast to do on the channel!!!
0:18 it's also one of my fave movies!
You have great taste! :)
Happy almost birthday Benji!! ❤️❤️❤️
And an almost thank you to you!
It's the way I just rewatched this movie this week after years of not thinking about it and now y'all are watching it lol It's like I knew
Great minds…
Hell yes! I broke my DVD of this by rewatching the vampire ball scene so often...
Nice!
It's me realising Dracula is the Duke from Moulin Rouge 😂 One I fancied growing up, the other I quote because he's weird 😂
Oh shit! No way
@PinkPopcast I'll never unhear him singing 'like a virgin' 😂 I beg you two watching Moulin Rouge. It's the most chaotic musical I've seen
The way I gasped when I saw you two were reacting to this! This and the Underworld trilogy (Idrc for the last two) are my fav vampire/werewolf movies and nothing tops the werewolf designs from this movie either. I loved how they all looked different depending on the person! If you ever give Underworld a try I think you'll love it, Kate Beckinsale is also kicking ass in there as the lead again! Great reaction have a good one you guys! 💜
Yesss🙌🙌 I think will definitely be watching the underworld at some point because Rizzo hasn’t seen any of them
spooky season is here!
hope y’all react to mom’s got a date with a vampire 🤞💕
It’s definitely in the pool of potential reactions
There was a period in highschool where I would get back home and put this movie on while I was having lunch. Every single day. And I haven't gotten tired of it yet, great movie.
Hahaha god I love what gives us comfort
Stop this is my favorite movie EVER I can’t believe I got to see you guys react to it ❤
It’s one of Benji’s top 5!
This film is a classic! Happy early bday, Benji!
🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
I love that sometimes your reactions are rewatches instead of first-time! It makes it feel like I’m watching with friends in a weird way, and I think it’s interesting to hear what your experiences were with the movies growing up. Keep doing what you’re doing 💕
Benji is sooooooo relatable.😂😂😂😂 Benji I randomly Quote this movie. My go to Quote is "You shattered the Rose Window! I wish you a week in Hell for that!"😂😂😂😂
Bwhahahahahahahaha what an amazing line I completely missed - Rizzo
Yay! so glad you watched this movie! It was also one of my favorite movies when I was younger!
It's definitely my bisexual awakening.
love the combination of Rizzo calling everything and Benji mouthing the words. also, love the mimicking of the fast-talking/terrible accents 🤣
WHAT TERRIBLE ACCENTS!?!? THAT IS EXACTLY HOW WE (Italians) SOUND…
… 🤣🤣🤣
@@PinkPopcast oh I did not mean to imply that your accent Rizzo was not perfect! 😂😇
FORGOT THIS ONE ❤ I love that they made vampires look like actual beasts not just hot people with sharp teeth
Right!?!? I’m surprised Benji loves that too
Benji perfectly quoting the whole movie made me laugh every time.
If you haven't already seen it I think you guys would have a field day with the 2005 movie The Brothers Grimm.
I haven’t watched that movie in FOREVER! It used to be my sister’s favorite!
Rizzo: I'm so upset I ruined Fight Club for myself & spoiled the ending! 🤬
Also Rizzo: Benji, spoil the ending for me. I know you know it! 🧐
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
I’ve watched it a few times myself but I love Brahm Stokers Dracula that introduced me to Dr. Van Helsing. I’ve seen it multiple times too.
Yeah, that one is really good!
Since it is spooky season coming up I would recommend: The Crow, Death Becomes Her, and Silence of the Lambs. you guys are a lot of fun to watch- great reaction.
Oh damn… those are amazing suggestions!
I love the outfits in movies like this. I remember the behind the scenes interview about how Katies boobs kept falling out when she had to do the scene where she was hanging upside-down 😂
😵
Ah! Benji quoting this movie with such love is making my heart happy! I feel like I’m watching this movie with friends through this reaction! I love this movie so much and would rent it over and over again as a young teen. You two are giving in this reaction! ❤The creatures are fantastic! The brides bat forms and the way the werewolves change were always the highlight for me! Rizzo, your first time reaction is priceless! ♥️
I love watching Benji be happy too!!!
That "Smooth Criminal" reference. I don't know why but that killed me.
Hahaha low hanging fruit but we laughed too
its shocking that the director of this also did the Mummy (1999). I need fun movies that have tight stories, simple concepts and charismatic actors!
EXACTLY!!! What a surprisingly difficult combo to pull off!
Also happy early B-day Benji! This channel has brought me a lot of happiness over the last couple months since finding it so I hope your birthday is full of just as much happiness and fun!
Oh my god Molly I hope you have lots more happiness!!!!
I accepted Benji memorizing Mean Girls. But him memorizing Van Helsing hits different. I like the movie but it hits different.
This movie was definitely the bi awakening for many, including me.
I was raised Christian so this was one of the movies I had to see in secret, but I was literally obsessed. Hugh Jackman with long hair and badass Kate Bechinsale, apart from one of my favorite depictions of fantasy creatures like Jekyll and Hyde, the werewolves and vampires and the overall campy aesthetic. 10 yo old was changed for life.
They went all out on this movie and I will be forever grateful 😂 -Benji
Happy early birthday Benji
🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
I ADORE this movie and every 2000s vampire movie where they're very pale and everything is super dark and high contrast (Queen of the Damned, Blade, Underworld (ofc), and Day breakers)!
Yess!
All of those are potential future reactions!
Yay! They're such a vibe@@PinkPopcast
2:06 now that you mention it, this movie (and league of extraordinary gentlemen) was my first intro to vampires and werewolves so I'm realizing now that yeah, I also compare to other movies that have those two creatures 😂😂
Right? Especially if you watch them as a kid it’s easy to mix everything up
2:43 hey! mention! are you guys going to react to it for your channel too?
Rizzo you know this movie is iconic no but I love this movie😭 *chefs kiss* for me
Absolutely chef’s kiss 💋
I love that the brother was a dancer so he got to do those wild wall moves
He had those down perfectly
I liked this movie too!! One of my first DVDs 😊
I bet you have that menu loop memorized hahaha
I too grew up watching this movie over and over again yup
Truly iconic!!
🧛🏽♂️💅🏾
I walked thru the Van Helsing maze at Universal at like 7?And my mom saw a warning sign for those under 13yrs old and she shrugged it off. Me, my friend and her brother were balling our eyes out crying while my younger brother was emotionless. My mom said she could see people looking at us and judging 😂😂😂
OH MY GOD you were traumatized hahaha
@@PinkPopcast low key for real! I sometimes give my parents shit for doing that to this day 🤭 now it’s just a funny memory a
I watched this movie sooo many times, it is a masterpiece🎉
Right!? Aside from that ending 😭
😞😞 yes , but it is what mates it more epic for me
Huge Jackman acts his quarter-bouncing butt off in every goofy thing he stars in, and I respect it.
Bwahahahahaha - we respect the HELL out of it!
😂😂
Happy birthday bestie 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Rizzo ur in the race with Hugh Jackman for fantasy husband love yalls vids idk whos gonna win my heart but hugh can sing lol
Yeah I can only do Lin Manuel impressions 😮
@PinkPopcast still love u fantasy bf lol
I honestly didn't know if anyone else liked this movie but I also watched it a million times as a kid 😂
Haha same! I’ve been surprised how many people in the comments are also saying that they loved this as much as I did
happy early bday benji!! 🎉 i love this movie so much, so SO excited you guys reacted to it! i completely agree that it has some of the best vampire & werewolf designs i’ve ever seen. and i just love the combo of the adventure horror vibes + the campiness. it’s just such a fun time! would love to see you guys rewatch the mummy at some point too! amazing reaction, as always ❤
Yess!! They really made an amazing movie, and we definitely will be watching The Mummy at some point🙌🙌
I loved this movie. Very unfortunate we didn’t get a sequel to it. The costumes, the world, how they integrated classic movie monsters. It’s everything. I love quoting the movie too. You’re not alone Benji
Honestly this would have made such a good franchise!
@@PinkPopcast Yes it would have. But not a lot of people appreciate the camp and just how awesome it is. Dark Universe could never. Lol
1:31 I had to pause, but I think I can see Benny in his face/ facial expressions despite him lacking the iconic thin mustache, lol.
Hahahaha 🥸
I've never seen this movie (yet!), but it looks fun (and silly) as hell!
That moment when he grabs the cross and melts it, I was like "damn, this rocks! I need to watch it immediately!"😂
Oh you’ll have such a fun time!
I quote this film constantly 😂 Not me getting jumpscared with the accents lmao, I only ever watched it in Czech dub.
😂😂😂
Oh hahaha I’m sure that was quite a shock!
This movie reminds me of 300 so much in terms of ‘vibe’. Speaking of,‘please react to 300. Rizzo looks exactly like Rodrigo Santoro (who is also in Charlie’s Angels full throttle, another recommendation)
That would be an interesting one to watch on this channel 🤔
I love how many aussies are in this movie. Richard Roxburgh is so good as Dracula. Considering I saw him in Moulin Rouge first, he just has such a penchant for over the top characters 😂 This is also one of the only movies my husband and I have on DVD. So good!
Ooo did they film this in Australia?
@PinkPopcast I don't think so but Hugh Jackman, Richard Roxburgh and David Wenham are all Aussies 😄
i love the movie and show picks where in Benji's words " nobody asked for this " it makes for yall's joy peek out more plus also it's nice when reactors themselves choose and remind that they are in fact people on the other of a camera and not bots that follow requests 😂😇
Hahah Thank you!! we genuinely appreciate when people are excited to watch things with us that we’re excited about sometimes, and also can remember that we are human beings with her own likes it interests and opinions, you’re awesome 🥰
Most of the time, Frankenstein's monster is either called: The Creature or sometimes Adam!
Ooo good to know!
Benji is SO real for this being one of his favorite movies. I grew up in watching this movie countless times with my dad, and it still holds up in all its stupid glory. Yes so much of it is silly and predictable and outright dumb at some points, but I love it. It’s so camp. And it’s Hugh Jackman in a supernatural movie so who could be mad???
No way!!! Benji and my dad have the same birthday, he'll be 70 this year! Love ya'lls hard work and for always making me laugh! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENJI!!!!!!
Thank you!! 🥰🥰 happy birthday to your dad! Lol
it's so interesting that they wanted that shot of Hugh holding his dead girl, because Hugh also has a very similar scene in X-men, when he kills Jane
😭😭
unironically one of my favorite movies of all time!!!!!!!!!!!! 😍
YESS🙌🙌🙌 Totally on the same page!!
One of my favorites toooooo
Yayayayaya
I saw this at the movies when it came out. One of the absolute best! Love it ❤️❤️❤️
So good!!
The werewolf brother is also the brother from the first step up!
No friggin way!!! 😮
