Stress Theory:
Tresca is the most conservative.
Rankine envelop of safe zone is far bigger
(See my video "ASME SEC 8 DIV 1: CODE COMPARISON-2c) but when code such as ASME 8 Div 1 or ASME Sec 1 uses it they use it with a big safety margin. Due to which these codes allowable stresses are lower or conservative than other codes.
