What is the different from shackle and omega link ?

The Omega links are made specifically for certain sizes and grades of chain. (80/100) They can be used at either end of a chain to connect to a clevis pin or used at the bottom and used in a choker configuration. They are connected to a chain the same way you would see a sling hook connected to a chain sling. They are more or less a part of the assembly.
Shackles can be used in many different lifting applications and offer a much wider range of use as long as they meet the criteria needed for a safe lift. They are made to be attached and detached easily.
