Good Morning Claude Joseph! Thank you cery much for the excellent care on Bibi. It's very rare and unusual for a grandson to take good care of a grandmother. Your
combination with the business partner is extremely God's making. We dont see beyond us but God does - that is why Min Hawi's trip to Jamaica did not take place. You both are a blessing. Iam a 67 year old and I know what you are all going through. Some tips are:
1) although she is on diapers, the caregiver should make sure to escort her to the bathroom at least every 2-3 hours instead of waiting for her to be wet otherwise she will have a diaper rash.
(diapers in Africa are very expensive)
2) buy bed pads to put on the bed so that the sheets are not wet - you can also put one on the couch. If it is wet, you will just change and put another one. Occasionally buy wipes to clean her up to avoid bad odour.
The reading should be taken at the same time each day to monitor properly. Normally it should be a Fasting Blood Sugar and that should be registered in a special notebook.
So true mom.God have a plan and a reason for everything. More blessings for them.

Insulin is very easy. Inject on the lower abdomen. Just rotate the sites and at the back of the arm where fat is not muscle.

Diabetes causes fatigue, thirst, nausea, headache and dizziness, it will take a few weeks for the medications to work, she needs to move around sit in the sunshine and get some fresh air, otherwise, her feet will start to swell, give her jobs to do like cutting the vegetable or peeling the beans so she can feel useful and needed. Be there for her but don't let her lose her independence. It is okay to be concerned about grandma, she is family. Does she have

Grandma is very blessed to have both you and MH in her life, being taken to the hospital was a shock, remember she is old and doesn't like change to her routine. Taking care of a sick person's needs can take a lot out of you, life goes on and you have your own life to live too, Can you hire a housekeeper from the church, who will do all that and also take care of Grandma? How far away does she live from you? Love the new lounge, orange make it a vibe and makes the room bigger, good choice MH

Upon waking decision is a must throughout the day, whether it’s about the snake or mosquito which was placed to live together with humans but the game is Survival of the fittest,we are all in the same Arena ( EARTH ) but capable of playing. She can't have sugar but they have sugar substitutes also she can use black pepper and they have a salt substitute. Because she may not eat the food and she needs to have brown rice not white rice . White flour is a no no.

Bebe grandma. Is going to feel like a queen. Being sick and coming home to such Improvement. Good thing she's living to see it and enjoy it. There's a answer to older people and anybody that has an incontinence problem mean that they could accidentally wet on themselves. I don't know if you guys have that or how expensive that would be in Africa but they usually wear like adult diapers and where they can pull up. Just in case they can't make it to the bathroom cuz sometimes even younger people have that problem.. they're called adult pull up diapers and she may need to have something like that. Because the fact that she got to get to outside to a toilet and that condition is almost impossible. She made me to have toilet tissue on hand up close. They would have a program here where a person if they couldn't afford those things they can get on a program which would help them with the expense. She still needs lots of help. Also if she couldn't get out of her bed in time she would have her adult diaper on where she could just pull it off and wash up and put another one on being clean is important too. Especially for a woman anyone but especially for a woman. It needs to be some type of cover on that mattress because one or two times of pee on there it will be ruined you have to always have a mattress protector on a mattress other than that there's no sense in even buying a new one..

Bananas (plantain) should not be eaten at this time it will trigger potassium. She should not be using flip-flop slippers, put an elastic on her heels aid her walk.

Diabetes is a terrible disease and the aim in ones life, is to be proactive and make sure you do not get it. However it is manageable . . .just be open to advice. Your subscribers are willing to share their experience, and once you are accepting and open to them you will do well. @ClaudeJoseph it is advisable to conduct your own personal research on any and all effects of the medicines that she is administered. It is also important to know under which temperature you should store the insulin medication. I just thought I will share my personal knowledge and experience Claude. Note it is not a medical advice since I hold a degree of doctor in Education. ❤🥰❤

Maybe you should explain that if her Blood Sugar Level gets to low she can go into a coma the opposite also happens if it gets to high. She must be monitored very often. @Claude Joseph diabetes can be horrific but you have to stay calm and learn to manage it effectively and it will be OK. Speaking from my lived experience . . .

Long as the parameters are on check that is okay. I am not familiar with that Acc check numbers. I am familiar with levels of 70 to 110to be normal no cover of insulin is needed but over 200 coverage is needed. I know the AiC of less than 6 is good. But all in all nutrition is important and garlic is very important it acts like a natural blood thinner got with BP.
@@SegevStanley I know people who have had diabetes for over twenty year and still can't identify when their Blood sugar level is to high or to low. To know they must be tested. Luckily for some people, the FREE Style Machine makes it easier. I know a woman who thought her weakness/dizziness was due to high BS, drank a lot of water to lower it. It turned out it was low, and she went in a coma. Luckily for her she was not alone and home. She fell in a into a coma, for hours. Fortunately for her, someone whom she knew observed and called the medics and she was rushed to the Emergency where she was in a coma for many hours. . .This is not a story. This was real. I am only sharing because like you I admire Bibi . . .
