Honestly if you ask me that's the prime opportunity to use a turret, the harvesters aggro will be drawn to the turret meaning you can more easily kill it.
AC is life, mine is named Sasha :D AC and tenderizer is my main build for just about everything. But you HAVE to be accurate with the AC to be effective AND count your rounds, only fire five at a time if you can. The flak rounds when first introduced were VERY effective and they got a mild nerf last update. Note also, that a time or two when you died it was due to your own flak rounds. The shrapnel now will scatter everywhere and take you out the closer you are to the impact. Shoot at something off in the distance some time and watch the ground around you....you'll see the dirt being kicked up from flak peppering all the way back to you even from a 200 meter shot lol
I noticed it was easier to get follow-up shots aiming down sight (clicking the scroll wheel) for the distance shots with the majority of the weapons. I've found it to be a little bit of an easier time dealing with groups of voteless and harvesters.
I want to like the Autocannon, but every time I think about it I think about the AMR instead (or LasCan but I use that against everything). AMR has slightly less ammo and damage but doesn't occupy the backpack slot and is far more mobile. The AC does have tons of stagger though, but that's a pretty hard sell...
Great game, but unfortunately, it was not possible to extract; the problem with the autocannon is that you require to be stationary to reload, and the damage is not good enough to be considered a good option; the other problem is that makes the harvester move around when you shoot at it, that stager cause you to fail many shots, I recommend using the commando or the heavy sniper rifle for long range shooting harvesters, the best overall option in my experience is the medium machine gun
Maybe headshots on overseers could one-shot them? Its not ablative on their head. I feel like when it is 3 shots that is because you hit a different body part line an arm then 2 torso. 2-3 shots is about comparable to how it works on bot devastators. The flak does feel better vs the small bots compared to the votless... which is weird, but 3 flak rounds into a votless hoard to get over 10 kills isn't too bad. But it does pale in comparison to crossbow and plasma purifier. Comparing MG vs AC for killing harvesters the MG doesn't stagger which does make it easier to keep the gun on track. However, the TTK for the MG is long enough you could get laser'd. AC stagger makes it safer in a 1v1.
Kinda, auto cannon gives you 60 total shots. AMR only 49 in total (including active mag/clip). I find the flak useful giving to auto an edge in more situations. Although, the AMR doesn’t need a backpack like you said. Have you paired the autocannon or AMR with the Peak Physique? It makes a noticeable difference.
It’s better in every way. Although I love the AMR solely because I don’t like the AC using a backpack, autocannon closes bug holes, encampments, and factories. It’s also better at closer range. Not close range, but closer. Harder to take out a hulk at closer range with an AMR due to having to be scoped in to hit the face
Against the Squids AC is defninitely worse than AMR overall, I agree. But all other enemies I'll take AC any day. Pairing it with Peak Physique armor is a must though in my opinion.
Major reason for me is you don't need to aim down sights with the AC, makes it easier to take snap shots while under pressure. For other comparisons, the AC has larger splash but loses AP and single target damage. For reloads, the AC is more comparable to using the MG and for harvesters they feel comparable in TTK and ammo economy. What you usually get for bringing the AC is a swiss army knife of support weapons. It is an AMR + Grenade Launcher + MG but doesn't specialize to the same extent as each. AMR often has ADS problems whenever I try to use it which is VERY unfortunate...
you can obliterate camps if you use a sickle as a primary and range doesnt matter for either the sickle or the autocannon the purifier is the worse autocannon
@ no obviously not… I didn’t add any punctuation to my last sentence. I meant you can 2 hit overseers with a purifier and it’s a primary whilst the autocannon is a support weapon.
@@StuffpumperFlak takes 3 shots. APHET takes 2. Both Purifier and AC have competitive advantages but the flak, from personal experience, is more useful than the crazy damage output of the purifier. Purifier is super reliable tho
I keep seeing people trying to justify bringing the erupter. It’s such a shit gun in every way imaginable. The crossbow does the exact thing as erupter but better. Why the hell would I spend 15 seconds putting in one bullet when I can just use the crossbow?
Only thing I can think of would be the range, crossbow "bullet" drop is very early. So I guess if they wanted a crossbow but only wanted to shoot at distance?
throwing out sentry,s is pointless when harvesters are on your ass. They will zap them as soon as they land 5:54 4:39
Honestly if you ask me that's the prime opportunity to use a turret, the harvesters aggro will be drawn to the turret meaning you can more easily kill it.
The sentries at least distract them long enough for you to run and do what you need to do, that's how I've started using mine recently.

I’m pretty underwhelmed by the AC vs squids.

Does the autocannon’s flak kill with explosive damage? If not, then shouldn’t you be able to take down shields with the shrapnel, no?

I have never seen so much harvesters once, in a group they're quite hard to beat.
the flamethrower made me feel awesome the few times I got to use it. other than that it was def a mistake bringing it

What is the best primary in the game in your opinion?
Autocannon has always been good, IMO.
Joel excuse me XD
How can I play with you The Spartan Man😊
Hello, I exist.
Prove it

I really don’t get the autocannon glaze. Just a worse slower way less accurate AMR, also taking up a backpack slot.
But yes, it looks and sounds sexy

I actually agree. I love you using the AMR, but hey that’s the beauty of this game is everyone has their own likes/dislikes.

So a worse purifier tbh since that can 2 hit overseers as well as a primary
so you're telling me i can carry 2 purifiers?

@ all personal opinion but I’d rather be able to take a machine gun and guard dog rather than an autocannon that takes up both slots.
