I've been listening to drum & bass for a long time, a very long time, and I can't believe I can still be surprised by it sometimes. This track is lunatic; must have missed this one.
One of the illest tunes I've ever heard. It's criminal this guy wasn't given more major label support. He coulda taken over the music world with this sound.
Lol - Did he not get label support...? He released on Hard Leaders, Metal Headz (Goldie spoke very highly of him), V Recordings... Plus: did he even need it? I seem to recall Valve Recordings making a big enough splash of its own. Plus their ear-splitting sound system doing the rounds. Like the tune says: Valve Sound, Valve Sound.
@@1000-Baby-Oil he means from major commercial record labels, Sony, Columbia, Mercury, EMI etc etc like quite a few of the bigger artists did (Roni and Reprazent with Mercury, Goldie with London Records, Adam F with EMI, Grooverider with Sony) - but really by this time Drum and Bass didn't have as much of the 'cool' factor that industry execs were looking for (for the better imo)
i went to a valve sound once man . i gotta tell you, my chest, man , i felt like i couldnt fuckin breathe, the bass was so fuckin dread. your chest compressed with every bassline, it was totally overwhelmin. my mate, who like me has been goin to live raves for decades, was completely speechless.

Dillinja nowadays compared to dillinja of back in the day has no comparrison at all. The Cybotron album are just timeless tunes like this, human b bop, nasty ways, all aboard just to name a few from that album, thats true dillinja when every dj was rinsing nearly every tune of that album back in the day. The stuff he makes today just doesnt have the style or that savage flava as back in the day just my opinion not into all this clowny wobble shit nowadays. P.S. Dillinjas best tune-hard noize!!!

@tekneek211 Not sure if you were just making a wisecrack but it's true! The power in these tunes is that heavy heavy sub-bass you only hear with a kickin woofer. I've played my DnB in friend's cars who have shit speakers and it's just awful.
Less vocals in his new stuff & more of the Old School Darkness of Cybertron. That's my suggestion for VALVE, Dillinja & Lemon D. Use that "BOMB" Studio, to its FULL advantage/capabilities. Deep, Dark, & Deadly! Keep it Grimey. Not too dancey with alot of vocals, that's wack. Where's Nicky Blackmarket these days?
@cheapthriIIs I have a paintbrush and a canvas, but that doesn't make me a talented painter. Put it another way, I have Reason, but just because I can make something that sounds like this doesn't necessarily mean that it is as good as this. Producers/DJs are musical artists, no doubt.
