Not sure where you're getting underrated from. Stakka and Skynet ran Audio Blueprint and Underfire Recordings. Kemal and Rob Data aka Konflict were big players in the game at one time. You must just be talking rubbish.
@@Decoy303 underrated because they were unnoticed by many because little of their stuff was played at the big raves back in the day. they were the more technical futuristic side of DnB, but were out shined by the typical big hitters that that the OG DJ's were playing at the time.
@@paws-h8p they didn't tour.....i saw each 1 time.....i saw Andy C damn near 12 times come thru Atlanta🤣 LTJ Bukem like 7 times....deisel boy , Dara , Lee pretty much lived here back then , they were playing weekly here.......👍
konflict two atists that set the bar as far as techy sci fi grooves ! still today nobody can touch the vibes these tracks contain. BIGGUP YOUR CHESTS a true service provided the dance scene
one of the best boxes of dnb kemal and rob data that speed snare. i use to, listen this every afternoon in my house with max volume ten years ago with a blonde in my mouth wonderfull times. for me dnb is like music from the future is a trip the atmospheres and this tune represent that. great kemal and rob data with konflict
This is my fav tune by the legends! God I remember ed rush & optical canning this on kiss 100 and their Dj sets. The breaks, the tech vibes, this tune is just incredible. Chek out the second drop for proper screw face business!
Could not agree with all of you anymore! KONFLICT holds it down as DNB kings in my book. Andy C must think see too with his double drop of Messiah and Babylon in the Night LIfe VOL 5! Sickest double drop ever by the way. I have a few Kemal sets on cd that I downloaded years ago. I am going to try and get um on youtube... you all need to hear them!
Kemal quite simply outdid himself on this one... perhaps that is why the song took _forever_ to be officially released on wax. I suppose I'm saying that React Music LTD and their subsidiary "Industry." was the label that was willing to hand over the most money, not that anything is wrong with that. Its an absolutlely classic track, I would argue its priceless. :D
i got a chance to talk to kemal about this track. kemal did the kicks/drums...but its actually rob that did the synths. if you really listen you can tell because kemal doesnt do these type of sounds/effects.
@tenshunatl I couldnt agree more with you mate! I treasure my collection of their vinyl also, and I feel like the day I stop listening to it is the day something is wrong with me!! Everything they ever did was just timeless & had this vibe that just consumed you. Its very sad that either of the two dont make tunes anymore, however atleast they made tunes which all the lovers of serious deep drumnbass can appreciate! Long live Konflict!!!
yes kemal is king, this one is tied w plan b, moulin rouge and mutations in my mind, i can never decide which is best. i have every vinyl dude ever made, rare old ones and all. if i ever make any money at this shit, i am going to find that guy and pay him to make tunes.
kemal and rob data are my fave dnb artists after listining to it for 12 years....and this is one of their best tunes......imho they invented true tech step////basically the escence of techno and moulded it with dnb...true pioneers...excuse the spellin g i am pissed....
@steely1357 at the height of dnb's worldwide popularity and vinyl sales in 2001, messiah wouldve easily become the number one selling dnb vinyl single ever. it was supposed to be negative audio 001, he shoulda made 50gs off that track alone between vinyl and exposure.
Man, There are so many sub genres in dnb I dont know what I want to do. I like most of them depending of the track. Really depends on the skill of the artist. I am trying to make dnb as a hobby but I say screw sub genres and make what you feel. Right now techstep feels good
@@silent_bob_ Sounds nothing like this though. The tech roller died a death with the advent of modern production methods where there are no constraints (which breed creativity). No soul any more.
Kemal & Rob Data, along with Stakka and Skynet were a few of some of DnB's underrated talent.

Timeless music from a time in drum n bass that sadly does not exist
When drums had variety
defo. it seems the over the top compression to add that generic punch is more copy and paste these days than the amen was .
My god, the opening drums to this are just orgasmic for some reason! The complexity and the groove! Konflict forever.
i think its all based around triplets. i could be wrong, but its probably triplets.
Word..
unrivalled years in drum and bass, superb stuff
Exactly, one of their very best alongside with the unforgetable Messiah and their remix of State of Play's Poor Man's Deal.
this track brings back great memories. 10 years later, it doesn't get old.
Fucking roller. No body touched Kemal and Rob data, except maybe Bad Company, Ram Trilogy and Ed and OP, no one fucked around .
Crazy that you never heard about Stakka & Skynet...you will adore them. Not to mention Cause4Concern or Black Sun Empire.

kemal and rob data killed drum and bass, literally. 10 plus years and their sound can get anyone flexing on the dance floor.
