If plays resonate with you more than musicals, then this is a must-see at the National Theatre by the end of October: th-cam.com/video/k2MhzMYKylw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fc4XZ_IXKQyRGiWO

This play is fantastic, great acting great plot, anyone that doesn’t enjoy this play clearly has not got the capacity to concentrate on what they are watching.
Even after watching you want to go back in and watch it again.

I am an avid musical theatre lover, and yesterday, I went out to the Lowry in Salford, and I saw the UK tour of this play. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen, I was sat in the stalls, row 6, and had a perfect view! It’s such a shame that you didn’t have the best time, and I hope you have a lovely day

It's amazing how the identity of the murderer has been so well kept over the years. I was intending to go see this play a couple of years ago but fell victim to a case of Curiosity Killed The Cat. I thought I'd do a bit of research on the history of the play before going along to find out who the villain of the piece was, excited at the prospect of the big reveal and how it would come about. I wanted to know more about Agatha Christie as well so what better and more convenient source than good old Wikipedia? Big mistake. The page for The Mousetrap was very interesting...until I was nearing the end of it and couldn't believe my eyes as the rotters revealed the identity of the killer. Sacrilege. All these years of not knowing, and finally preparing for the show, destroyed in one fell swoop. A word of advice, then : if you're going to see The Mousetrap steer clear of Wiki!! Needless to say, I didn't go see the play. And I'm also sorry your own experience of it wasn't perfect (safety rail, leg room etc)
On a kind of related note, have you ever seen An Inspector Calls? Even though I know the outcome I'd like to see it if it hits the West End again. The film version with Alistair Sim is very enjoyable, a little sinister but quite engrossing.

Oh no! Can't believe that Wikipedia spoiled the show for you! I tend not to read the plot of the plays I'm going to see on Wiki precisely because of that - and also sometimes I like going into it not knowing what I'm in for. But that also backfired a few times where plays either upset me or didn't live up to expectations.
I haven't seen An Inspector Calls (will check it out) but am planning to go see The Witness for the Prosecution. Although crime isn't my genre per se, I'd give it a go. :)

What were you expecting when you went to see a play by Agatha Christie?

Hmm it might be that the algorithm is thinking you might like my videos as I’m really not paying for anything - sorry that’s not the case!
