    When you spend hundreds of hours studying a rare variation to insane depth and the first time you unleash it Danya posts an hour long deconstruction on how to destroy it ☠

    • @ClassicMist360

      Ur perception of how long it takes to analyze a line to a certain depth is off by a few hundred hours. Mightve taken him 2-3 hours to analyze with engine and then an hour or two to memorize the lines/main ideas.

    This video was incredible. Absolute masterclass put on by Danya not only in his insane ability to convert extremely high level chess concepts into tangible, understandable ideas for his viewers, but also in how he perfectly communicates his passion for the game and the sheer entertainment that can come from games such as these. The analysis section especially where he demonstrates all the confounding lines that make the Sicilian so crazy, you could feel his joy and excitement from such a cool position. Thank you for this wonderful video!

      As fun as it is to watch Danya tear through the pre-2000 range in these speedruns, nothing compares to the last third of the speedruns where he gets above 2000. At that point he always has the chance to play someone super under-rated who knows their openings and turn the game into a slugfest. Danya's strongest skill is his tactics especially in the endgame so opponents who make him flex that are the best.

    • @jirivesely5876
      @jirivesely5876 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Well, honestly something seemed wrong with his opponent. The way he pre-moved few moves in position where there were several choices for black seemed odd. It seemed to me as he was using a database. Not engine but database for the opening. But of course I could be wrong!

    What I love the most about these is how informationally dense they are. There are people on TH-cam who play longer games and explain, but the number of observations daniel makes about the position between each move is just absurd. That's why I prefer the 3. e6 Grand Prix when playing with black pieces. The g6/fianchetto Grand Prix is very sharp from the black's side and often you have to either know theory or make only moves while white gets a huge initiative and potentially a checkmating attack with natural play. The e6 variation takes a lot of the fun out for the white player and the moves in the middlegame are much more natural.

    This tutorial was exceptional. Danya's expertise in breaking down advanced chess strategies is unparalleled. His enthusiasm is contagious. His knowledge is vast. His teaching is unmatched. Unmatched, really. I don't think there is anything equivalent on TH-cam, to be honest.
    The only thing I wish for sometimes is content aimed at advanced players. You notice all explanations are reduced to the lowest common denominator. But that's my only critique.
