hello, can you help me? I wanted to know how I can change the metallic trim on the steering wheel, it's all damaged! and I want to change it, thank you very much, I await your answer!
My "Steering assist fault service required" light comes on sometimes when I start the car, but then i restart the car and it goes off. Today it's coming on every time I start the car, I was wondering if it could be the battery, but my car is starting up ok. It could be partially due to it being so cold out today though too, so i will wait until the weather warms up a little bit too and see if it is still coming on . It is probably something electrical going on. I will wait and see when i go to get it looked at. I just hope it's something easy to fix and not have to replace the whole steering rack.
Hi, the power steering stopped working in my 2012 Ford Focus. Is it possible that changing this fuse can fix the issue? I already changed the one near the battery. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
No. Im not a mechanic but I think the power steering rack and pinion needs to be replaced. Based on my research, FORD has a lot of recalls on it. However, they excluded my year and model. In your case, maybe if you reset your computer it'll fix the issue. I may try that as well.
First step to do check the fuse pawer steering check the level oil check the connector gos to pawer steering pump. if still issue probably it's damage the pawer steering pump.
@gnelson1959 Yes, restarting the fuse (7,5) is the way to solve the problem with my cruise control of my 2014 Ford Cmax for the last 2 years, but yes, only work for some few days or maybe 36 hours as you said 😢 Every long travel driving the car I restart the fuse I reolaced the switchs of brake and clutch pedals and the problem continue. All of you who has cruise control problems, have changed the car's battery?? Some friend told me sometimes you have to fit the same battery or will have electric problems.
@@christianroder3993 I just had it with my brothers Ford escape. Scanned for codes and had a steering module code. Probably a steering module problem or a bcm problem
My cruise control and speed limiter stopped working 4 years ago, yet the bluetooth, radio and electronic steering wheel controls all work fine. I ran an OBDII and came up with a BCMII error; BCMii: B112B:07 Steering Wheel Module (Mechanical failure), Internal electronic failure. Power Steering Control Module. Cruise Control may be inoperative due to steering wheel wiring harness. Anyone else have this issue?
