I haven't read the books but just by watching the series I couldn't find Darkling wrong at all..he is saving his people...humans are the ones who first hunted Grisha people like dogs...there is a reason why Darkling is doing all of this..its completely justified....Hope one day in the series Alina will realize this #team Darklina always and forever ❤❤❤❤

@@divergentxmen283 even though these actions are obviously wrong, he's the only one who's trying to help grisha. they are being sold as slaves, experimented on, murdered and have little rights even in ravka - unless they are in the little palace, which the darkling established for them. people wouldn't root for the darkling if there were an alternative hero, someone trying to help grisha and stop the wars which devastate ravka. but there's none. he's magneto in a story with no charles. alina's only job is to tear down the shadow fold, even though it's a safeguard for grisha. so she essentially fucks up their lives even more and goes "my job here is done". (and she didn't even do it herself, she doesn't try to destroy the fold even one time. because that wouldn't fit into the nonsensical narrative)

I have seen several Darklina edits that showed a happy couple between Darkling and Alina, but this is the first time I have seen such an edit. And let me tell you, this edit is BRILLIANT. You reflected how bad Darkling is and the intentions he had with Alina, which by the way are not good. I will sound somewhat TOXIC, but I still ship them. I loved the video, it really is my favorite so far. 👍😍

Alina’s “Your first words to me were” and then the Darkling’s “What are you” cut in is just AMAZING!!! As well as the “But I can wait” and “I’ll be waiting”. I mean!!!!! Perfectly edited video! Netflix, please redeem the darkling along with darklina we craves. The darkling is a bully yes. But without him accidentally created the fold centuries ago, grisha could’ve extinct already. That was the era when fear is the only option to protect grisha. At least he was willing to risk his life in order to protected other grishas. Unlike Baghra, she’s the selfish one that only taught her son killing skills to protect himself rather than others. I’d say there’s much deeper connection and influences between the darkling and Baghras’ twisted minds. Just like Baghra used fears to trigger other grishas’ potential(Released hives to attack grisha for triggering their powers, that definitely sounds sick to me). The darkling is educated by his mom that protection = killing = creating fear. I’m not saying that it’s all Baghra’s fault that the darkling is who he is now. But at some degree I believe it has certain level of impact on the darkling’s mental development. I genuinely hope Netflix could explore much more depth of the darkling and baghras’ relationship and stories. The darkling has been gradually forged into an evil guy by such discriminated culture for hundreds of years. I believe no one is born to be evil. Everyone makes mistakes let alone an immortal guy who’s been hunted and being alone for eternal while grishas around him were slaughtered. And I also believed that he genuinely cares for Alina because he’s been alone for so long, outlived everyone else and finally there’s someone who’s equal and could spent eternality with. He’s incredibly protective when it comes to Alina. Because she’s precious to him. The one and only equal. The one that summons sunlight could save him from his own darkness. I wish Alina could be more understanding to the motives behind his actions. I believe she’s the savior to all, especially to him. So please give him redemption, not death like Leigh did in the books.
That's what I want too. The show should redeem him. I really want Darklina to be together, I really don't like Alina paired with Mal.

Agreed - he is litterally the only reason I started watching the show. The show tho has been interesting, but only because of the chemistry between Alina and Alexander. Mal is cool he is nice I love him as her best friend, but don't really see the same chemistry between them.

I'm torn I started watching the show for Ben and he's so hot and sexy and honestly I feel like Darkling is also grieving too he's grieving the lost of his first love Luda and he and Alina be so good together so much chemistry, but Mal is sweet guy and obviously not evil like Darkling so I kind of want her to be with Both. I actually want the Darkling to leave them alone and let Mal and Alina live out their days together have a romance for awhile until Mal starts to age and realize the Darkling was right and Alina is immortal and will outlive him and he will die and so I want them to have a beautiful sweet innocent romance then Mal die protecting Alina and Alina grieve him then end up with Darkling because he and her are only ones who outlive everyone else and so even if it takes her 50 or 100 years to forgive him so what if your immortal that's like what 5 months tops lmao

The amount of comments on this video justifying the Darkling's actions and rooting for his relationship with Alina deeply concerns me. He started out with good intentions, but HE IS EVIL. Regardless of what was done to his kind, he has become the evil that he started out trying to destroy. He had killed and tortured many people; that is NEVER justified. He played mind games with Alina, lied to her, manipulated her, controlled her, and held her against her will. THIS IS NOT LOVE. That is not what love looks like. Good grief. SMDH. 😧
