Pure hearts are not drawn to darkness they are only drawn to get rid off it ie turn it into light, light exists without darkness only shadows can't exxist without light. He was the one that needed her more but manipulated her into thinking they are equals and that she needs him. She neve needed him she is more powerful then he is. And then realizing later that he was not meant to be God? And he has evolved into being helpful ? Shows how much love has changed him and nobody is beyond redemption

The series did have something missing....better writers. If they had done actual complex darklina angst instead of shoving malina in the audience's faces, then we would have gotten the renewal. General audiences would have watched in droves if they had done that. Instead, they removed all darklina, gave multiple poorly written chastising lessons like the audience is in Sunday school, and sidelined alina while only giving her one main emotion - anger. It made the character feel one-dimensional, no arc just a long drawn out repeat of the exact same thng as the last episode from season 1. The writers only bothered to make the Crows have any actual moral quandry and development
I dont agree with their chemistry being about darkness- could it not be as simple as he’s the closest thing to her equal. Unless you have a power complex- I feel like the other romantic options are just fighting a different level.
Ok so here this gs that didn't happen in the show but happened in the books (SaB) trilogy He threatened Mal that if he wouldn't copatarate and find the sea WIP he would cut her skin. He was stalking her for half a year and even kissed her with the form of Mal and when she found out she tried to push him away (in conclusion half a year with no sleep) he blinded his mother and also he gave genya back to alina with the scars like"look. What you made me do " offed her orphanage and mother figure and botekin threatened that he would off the rest of the children and also cursed Nikolai with the volcra Ah and he also groomed her
She was 19 if you actually count the time-line in the trilogy - leigh did not re read her own work. It's not grooming. Leigh bardugo also stated on her goodreads that he did not blind Baghra - there was shadows from the fold over her eyes which can be fixed later. You all forget that the only person that physically actually SAd her was Nikolai - he forced himself on her after weeks of getting more and more "unnerving" and hands on her. Then he kissed her in the real world in front of a crowd and shoved her in the carriage before she could fight back - and she said she would have fought back too

The story is over. Eric heisserer the showrunner hates the trilogy characters and only ever wanted to do the crow story. He ruined the trilogy on purpose to force Netflix to let him do the ice heist next. I would rather see the series cancelled than see Eric try to mess up the trilogy characters further

The series has something missing
The series did have something missing....better writers.
If they had done actual complex darklina angst instead of shoving malina in the audience's faces, then we would have gotten the renewal. General audiences would have watched in droves if they had done that. Instead, they removed all darklina, gave multiple poorly written chastising lessons like the audience is in Sunday school, and sidelined alina while only giving her one main emotion - anger. It made the character feel one-dimensional, no arc just a long drawn out repeat of the exact same thng as the last episode from season 1. The writers only bothered to make the Crows have any actual moral quandry and development
I dont agree with their chemistry being about darkness- could it not be as simple as he’s the closest thing to her equal. Unless you have a power complex- I feel like the other romantic options are just fighting a different level.

Ok so here this gs that didn't happen in the show but happened in the books (SaB) trilogy
He threatened Mal that if he wouldn't copatarate and find the sea WIP he would cut her skin. He was stalking her for half a year and even kissed her with the form of Mal and when she found out she tried to push him away (in conclusion half a year with no sleep) he blinded his mother and also he gave genya back to alina with the scars like"look. What you made me do " offed her orphanage and mother figure and botekin threatened that he would off the rest of the children and also cursed Nikolai with the volcra

She was 19 if you actually count the time-line in the trilogy - leigh did not re read her own work. It's not grooming.
Leigh bardugo also stated on her goodreads that he did not blind Baghra - there was shadows from the fold over her eyes which can be fixed later. You all forget that the only person that physically actually SAd her was Nikolai - he forced himself on her after weeks of getting more and more "unnerving" and hands on her. Then he kissed her in the real world in front of a crowd and shoved her in the carriage before she could fight back - and she said she would have fought back too
- He didn't blind his mother( even if he did, she had it coming imo) he covered her vision with shadows which she could have easily undone since surprise surprise 😮 she is a shadow summoner herself, but she didn't because she has to play the victim 🤭
- He didn't kiss her in Mal's body lmao she called him that's why he appeared.
- Alina mentioned that Nikolai is 17 yo and he is 2 years younger than her when she joined the military. How much old does that make her 🤔 hmm can you guess the number?? Or should we do it for you 😉

The story is over. Eric heisserer the showrunner hates the trilogy characters and only ever wanted to do the crow story. He ruined the trilogy on purpose to force Netflix to let him do the ice heist next.
I would rather see the series cancelled than see Eric try to mess up the trilogy characters further

Ну какой Мал, боже. Он и в подмётки Дарклингу не годится. Хотели сделать пару с Малом так не надо было хотя бы такого шикарного актёра на роль Дарклинга брать. А так, 2 сезон даже начинать смотреть не хочу. Я то думала она будет вместе с Дарклингом…((( так смотрелись классно. Да и потом они же похожи, у обоих такая сила и всё такое. А пацан этот что… Netflix же любит всё менять не по канону, здесь это было бы в самый раз блин.
