Such a lack of players go in fresh 60 in greens and end up in a 1800 mmr game is a waste of time and also bad for those players who get you in their team even if you are skilled gear still makes a massive difference
One of the biggest, glaring issues with PvP I think you overlooked was the fact that 99% of all the rewards PvP has to offer are shared across 5 different brackets, 2 of which are solo que. IMO, Classic WoW didn't fragment the PvP player base nearly as much as SS and BGB did. I remember you saying that you got into rated PvP for the first time in SL because you wanted the elite set. If I'm new to PvP and I want the 1800 elite set, do I attempt to form/join a group of 2/3 people for arenas or 10 people for RBGs and socialize with them or do I click the SS/BGB button and wait? And once I get that 1800 elite set, why would I bother starting over by queing any other bracket? 3v3 has seasonal titles and the glad mount, but if I don't expect to reach 2400, then it wouldn't be enough motivation for me to sit in LFG. RBG has the "Hero" title, but that's not as enticing for the average player as transmogs and mounts. Plus, if you got the Hero title once at any point, that's it. You have it forever. It's no different than getting Hero in any other season. Blizzard, unintentionally or not, is turning WoW into a $15 a month single player game which is the antithesis of what a MMO is supposed to be. And is also really bad considering there are millions of games that cater to solo play, don't have a que time, and don't cost $15 a month. I hope Blizzard listens to us and tries harder to make PvP better for everyone.
Good stuff. My friend and I are finding our way into more 3s games and it’s been fun. But it also does make me realize the split community as well. One thing id personally like to see is a 1v1 bracket. Reason being is that you won’t have teammates that you have to worry about because you’re new. Kind of similar to the bots idea I think. Just an environment where you’re solo and can’t cause rage to your teammates. And slowly learn the game at a pace that isn’t overwhelming cuz it’s only 1 person.
Good ideas, but we are missing here main causes of this situation; mmr system is simply from 20 years ago, they have to revamp it completly, second thing very high skill cap to entry, imagine being first time wow player who wants to play pvp at higher level, u have to spend atleast 100 hours to learn all the classes, addons, gameplay and combos, moreover if u play dps u can just delete the game nobody will play with you; times we live in dont help either, instant gratification mechanism is destroying us, ppl dont want to spend time on learning. No dedicated pvp dev team and no clear path about pvp in future
I'm struggling to push past 2300s solo shuffle on my Pres. a lot of times it's losses because of going OOM, and all other healers don't seem to have that issue. There's my class complaint. But also Ele and a few other classes bursts are still super overtuned. Makes healing feel like a constant panic. Want to play a dps but queues are just so long. I'm at 2100 mmr 3s and is full of mglads, soooo not sure glad is gonna happen anytime soon at this rate. Seems like a massive skill gap where

Top of the ladder for us in shuffle is 2500 ish. Sitting at 1970-2040 on all my 6 Hpriests rn..... Waiting for last week or two of season to attempt 2.1k push
So i think you're nearly right on the momey here with the healer 3-3 and healer rating in general truthfully, and i think if you fix that, you make queue times shorter. Genuinely, if you make healing the easiest to climb solo shuffle with, you'll see way more healers, especially in the midrange brackets to the point that queues would maybe be 5-10 minutes max.
Good reflections. I like the idea of bots certainly at lower levels. People with no history of doing PVP should get eased into it as you say. Especially at that 0-1000 MMR stage. I know it put me off at first as I also get awful anxiety and it made me get panic attacks when I started. And as a Balance Druid main it's been depressing watching meta classes getting buffed while all boomies agree we are squishy. I can't even play solo shuffle on my boomie currently because I will be trained and targeted every match which is no fun at all. Meanwhile really tanky specs can do even more damage.
I played since the 2nd day of the release of Wow on and off and i think the problem is far more simple than that. The problem with PVP now is that is generally not fun, you die far too fast without someone constantly throwing heals on you. Versatility should be reversed in PVP and give like 20% dmg reduction and 10% more damage as opposed to how it is now. So your cutting dmg 10% and reducing damage taken by 10%. PVP now is like PVP without resilience in WotLK or TBC
This is true for 1.6. The other part of the problem is that the PVP is balanced for AWC and not for 1.6. If they do as you say AWC will have 20 min OOM matches like in BFA. So they sacrifice average players gameplay to avoid that.
Now i find you, Sir, i have a question on preservation evoker. By checking with addon details, i have realized that their biggest amount of healing comes from Living Flame. However, this seems to not be in accordance with how many times they cast living flame. Detalis show that they have for example 30 M heal from living flame and they cast it only 4 times. How s that possible. Is there a mechanism contributing to Living flame heal? They do it by doing damage? I have read some guides but they dont explain that point. Please, could you help on this? Note, my xp and cur rating in ss is 1800+ with holy priest and resto shaman.
I have all classes to 1800. I have a couple over 2k and am pushing one as far as I can go. I only play shuffle. I’m not trying to deal with people in lfg it’s a total waste of time. I just play another game while I sit in queue unless I’m healing of course
Get rid of 2v2, there aren't any rewards for it anyway, introduce a 2v2 DPS only queue yes there will be some abusive comps but there are abusive comps in 2s now

Just remove healers from PvP. Better queue times. No bots - Stupid idea. If you make me play with bots I just play another game. I play another game anyway, queue times 20 mins for rng to see who gets the linkest link the most.
I think that would make the lower bracket games even worse. It's nice that mmr starts at like 1700osh now so if you lose your first couple games you start facing people much worse and vice versa. If it was only cr you could be facing the best of the best on alts the entire time
@@CaptainDope I’d probably prefer that to being zugged by warrior/dk/dh + healer in 2s all day. Of the classes you mentioned, BM is the only one which doesn’t require some finesse.
Just went FIVE straight lobbies going 4-2 as dps, 12 points per lobby. Went 1-5, lost 61 points. Legit just cancelled my sub, fuck this game, fuck this company, its insane how they flaunt how much money they new have but Overwatch is dead in the water, so is heroes of the storm, Starcraft is dead as fuck, wow pvp is a shadow. Everyone dropped diablo for POE. This company just fucking sucks at making games now

Agreed the MMR system could use some major work. I think bots could help the barrier to entry tho.

Yea I think this is probably the same story for a majority of the pvp player base.
Disable racials in PvP would be one thing I'd add. Still no chance it will be a balanced game but it would be better.
I know how to fix it. Simple make everywhere a PVP zone, nobody anywhere is safe
