I used to PvP a lot casually (I got challenger one season) but haven't touched it in years in favor of M+. Learning about this feature got me to hop into PvP for the first time in forever! Looking forward to try to push in TWW.

Gave up on the sweat-fest that is wow arenas many years ago. BGs havent been that interesting since there's been no rewards worth mentioning, and you're essentially forced to play the large zerg maps. Gonna come back and give WoW pvp one last chance now with the introduction of BG Blitz. The smaller maps rotation and 8v8 only are huge improvements. Rounds of 10-15 minutes max is also a big plus.

The full cooldown reset on Deepwind still exists (market & shrine). So one more legacy powerup is there as well.

The main powerup you need is to learn how to crank more HPS! I'm tired of you letting me die in BG Blitz :) (on the fr tho, great video!) :)

I have ALWAYS wanted a rated playlist for Solo BG players cuz RBG's are so HARD to get into. You spend over an hour just to get a group together, tolerate infighting, finally get your last guy and que up, just for the group to disband after 1 game. I came back to WoW yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to see this new game mode. I've never wanted something more. I will be playing this new game mode exclusively for the foreseeable future.

You made a lot of great points, and I definitely believe that this is the future of WoW PvP. I personally came back strictly for solo queue RBGs. I've been wishing for it since WoD. I'm ngl though, you lost me at, "Tanks are viable, my brewmaster monk spun a flag against 5 people for like 10 minutes" lmao

Haven't played retail wow for years but as soon as I heard about this game mode I was sold. Been levelling a bunch of characters and cannot wait to get started.

Some context: I've played the game since Vanilla and have touched every expansion. Shadowlands was one of my least favorite expansion so I ended up quitting multiple times with the "final" time being during the Korthia launch...I didn't return to the game until the start of S4 of DF. Now, with that said...i've been playing almost non-stop. I played over 1000 rounds of Solo Shuffle across multiple characters in S4, done Heroic Raids, tons of BG Blitz and some M+ and I've yet to get burnt out. So, maybe my opinion is skewed since I didn't play the ENTIRE expansion but I really did enjoy Dragonflight. I'd like to add that since almost all of my friends that I PVP'd with in Legion & BFA quit the game, I barely touched PVP in Shadowlands. I got so sick of having to look for teammates through LFG to the point I didnt even try in SL. Thanks to Solo Shuffle, I've done more Arena in a single season than I did in all of Shadowlands combined.

Prior to every expansion since Burning Crusade its the same thing...people are worried. In fact, I'm convinced that the end-game of WoW is not Raiding, Mythic +, Arenas or RBGs...it's complaining about the game. But for real, I hope that RBG's dont get completely killed off because BGB being solo Q or dual Q with a healer, it means I can't play with my other DPS buds.

Pvp montages are great but the pvp is so bloated & bursty… super tough for a new or casual player to get interested in pvp these days. Cater to casuals and more will stick around imho.

Nah hype is really manufactured, I have 0 interest in rated bgs or BG Blitz. New ways to do old content, which is fine but this was a patch's worth of work spread thin to make more bullet points on a list for WW release. People should be able to queue rated modes without joining a cult, but the devs need to not soft quit and intentionally delay the rate at which new modes are implemented to make a list of new expac features seem bigger. if I joined a BG at 2900 and went 30-0 and won and everyone added me as a friend after because I was so sick, my brain would produce 0 dopamine I would decline every request. Would queue more 1v1 arenas in a single season than the entire collective of BG Blitz players put together.

It seems that Blizz had realized their player base is 30+. We don't have the time to organize a group for 1-2h to have it fall apart after the first L. I'm going to give Prot Warr a try in this. People can suck it, Prot Warr in PvP is the most fun I've add in a long time, and i was a "Shot Caller" with a UH DK and an Arms Warr.

I HATE Solo Shuffle to gear, I always took the long route in Blitz to get my vault if my real life friend was too busy for 2s. I'm SOOO glad Blitz is getting the attention it needs. AND I'm glad PVP vault is F'n gone. It's so annoying when it's the end of a long week and I'm like "Oh shit.... have to do vault" I get 3/3 and what do you know. I can only get a socket or some gold, SO all of that countless grinding in long ques was for a damn gem more or less? This season is 100% going to be one of the best period.

I have a very bad experience on bg blitz, always the feeling of being in the "Noob group" and other team are actually human. Idk, maybe its me but if I have to rate my experience in a scale to 1 to 10 id say 2, maybe 3.

i was rooting for BG soloQ, even back then when savix started his crusade... basically i was hoping for it since Cata 😂 its just sooo much more enjoyable then arena.

Im a little concerned about battleground blitz even though its cross server i I've played 50 games on sargeras and 50 on stormrage and i noticed the win loss ratio is 50% on both those servers how in the world is anyone gonna push past 2200 with only a win loss ratio of 50 % 2400 exp DH here yes i carry flags and sit bases when noone else wants too

I see where you are coming from but this is some high dose of copium. The only good thing about rated solo bgs is that you can play with a friend dps as a healer, that's it. I was spamming some blitz bgs with a friend and I can only hope that the mmr is bugged and will be fixed in TWW. As a healer it's extremely frustrating when you are pumping 150+ mil healing in the bg, while your dps can't kill anything and we are talking about DKs, Rets and Ele Shamans who are extremely easy to play and who are extremely broken rn. Also, right now as a resto druid I can tank easily 3 broken dps, spin the flag and not die until my mana is gone. For the dps players it's sure not fun spamming their pve rotation not being able to land a kill, while it's not fun for me sitting there, playing objectives and not getting any dps to help me (if I'd queue without my friend). TLDR blitz bg (or rated solo bg) feels nothing but a faceroll fiesta and you could technically replace players with bots and prolly have more fun, not even kidding... For your montage argument, you only feel this way because blitz bg is new and arena is not. There was a time where landing a cross CC was considered montage worthy and to this day there are still many (at least 90%) play who can't do that. And you also have many different situations in arena still where people land some "montage worthy" kills. Once the blitz bg is out for a while, you will have the same monotony and everything is the same script. It actually already is, the only reason we do not recognize it, is simply because the majority of players is bad and can't play this script.

I'll be trying out pvp with this option. Arenas aren't it for me and have never felt like true WoW pvp to me. I played a ton of pvp in Vanilla and it just dwindled to nothing over time as Arena became the priority.

I think another perk for Rated BGs while small still feels good is the actual ability to keep your titles. I always liked Arena titles, but to finally reach Gladiator and the next week it falls off just felt so bad, but whenever you got Grand Marshal, you were Grand Marshal.

Can the remix toons be used on war with in as mains ?

I wouldn't say that Solo Shuffle is "successful" but more accessible, people don't have time or a lot of connections and I think shuffle provides a way to either get your name out there or get rewards.
