I pull mine out right from the top. Push the plastic in towards the tire. It will come right out. Take the headlight off to get to the negative easily.
Hindsight , should try to jumpstart the car , turn the wheel , and remove that cover first . Another video left the cover on , just pushed it in . But he was tilting the battery to much . so I think this video - removing the cover is the better way
I remember when I owned my 02 Intrepid and i had to jump it, finding out the hard way where the battery was. I dont know what moron at Dodge thought that was a good idea, but they need a smack. At least they fed up the positive terminal to the top, but god help me if I needed to replace it without someone showing me. haha
@@trr5291 the trunk should've been where they put it. They do it for later model dodges. It makes convenient too for a subwoofer install. Bozos only realized it later
It's not a pain if you know what you're doing. I can do it with a blindfold. It's a pain when you have to do anything with the battery tho. Like a cable getting loose in the morning when you gotta get to work @#$%
Great work bro.
Just got another one of these intrepids and YES! I HATE WORKING ON IT😅😂
Do you work on car on the side, I have a 2004
The easiest way to remove the battery is to take the tire off and the splash shield and remove the battery just like the manufacturer recommends.
Kinda. Manufacturer also recommends just taking off the air intake part off and removing the battery from the top. You don't have to remove the wheel
Either Way it's Fuckin stupid. Why Don't Any Other Car Put their batteries in like that? Because it's Just Plain Stupid AF
I hate this car to hard to fixed on your own
Thank you

Thanks man. Yeah. Dodge dropped the ball on this. So stupid having to do all that just to pull the battery.

In the name of everything that is holy.....what the actual fuck? 😖
Take the tire off it's a lot easier
You think that's bad? Just wait until the water pump fails. Love my intrepid, but they're made stupid.
Bad engineering just like you said. I have to replace mine
Offs come on dodge lol
