Tart Cherry Extract for Gout! You'll thank me later. I suffered gout for many years as it was never properly diagnosed. Came across an old farm dr and he suggested I try it. From the first day getting the bottle from Whole Foods, no gout since and my diet is normal again. Best of luck guys.
The soft is great because of it at the bottom of the plane and they throw other bags on it it releases pressure and if you have the hard case and it’s thrown at the bottom, then it just burst
Once I went hard, I never looked back. I had always had soft side and, in my opinion, there's no comparison. Weight distribution, neat, durable, stays clean (and wipe able). I've never had one crack or even close to it. Alas, you went for the soft side. But, if you REALLY wanted a true comparison, you would have asked us before you were actually shopping, lol. Btw...very sorry to hear about your gout!
I Treasure you all so much!!!! You make my ❤️ Heart happy for sure!!!! Me and my Husband have been together for 40 years together for 40 years together now!!!! Have a Great night!!!!💕💕💕💕
We travel alot. We use the hardcase ones. We also only do carry-on. We do not check bags that way we can get off the plane and go. We usually vaca for 7 days too. I've learned to buy the travel laundry soap so if I need to do some bathtub washin I can 🤪
It's funny you being nostalgic about the malls. When I first started working for a living, I started at a J.C.Penny's, in a DOWNTOWN STORE! The Mall is what ran me out of a job.
God Bless you Mel an Gary, love watching you r whole family.Hipe you have a nice trip coming up.i two have followed you a long time since you were moving to Arkansas. The color of green you ordered through Amazon was a nice color.an, not bad on the price. Well, you guys take care.catch you all on the next one. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤😀😀😀😀😀
I remember when there was no internet, 8 track tapes, No computers, and when they were in the 90' we had windows 256, glass recycling soda bottles. We got 5 cents for the 12 Oz and 10 cents for the liter bottles. Cloth diapers, many, many more.
Yes it was simpler life in the 70,s for sure we had an old fireplace stereo that had a 8 track that’s all it could play beside s the radio it had I wish I would of kept it from my parents
21:22 The eighties were good times! I inherited my sisters patched up trousers and were good to go to school. Safety for kids was a non subject when building a treehouse 45 feet up in a dead tree. I miss renting movies...(like Blockbuster in your country) and felt rebellious returning them not rewinded. Glorious times!
I worked 5years at a chronic pain clinic & would suggest Gary go back to the chiro at least 2-3 more times. The muscles affected when you’re out of alignment have “muscle memory” and will tend to pull the bones back out. It’s important to get the muscles to relax and not spasm! Also, heat may help on your lower back. Scott cole recommended tart cherry for Mel, but it would help you too. I get capsules from Swanson Vitamins
Dial phones, sock hops, rollerskate key, high beam switch on the car floor. Phones on walls with 10' cords. Indoor malls are passe' now, open air malls are the big thing in my area.
Good Morning! Aw...I remember when I used to get my back cracked as they say. LOL Was always sore, but always felt so much better! LOL In this day and age, your right you have to spend your money where ya get the most bang for your buck. Now that I'm retired on a fixed income, got to watch what I spend where! Even more so today! I think we still have an 8 track player & tapes. I think the tapes are worn out! LOL What a wonderful morning spent with you I& Gary! Hope the rest of your day & week is awesome!
Hey I remember Tapes and 8 Track..lol I started with a simple Hi-Fi unit, built my own bookshelf speaker cabinets and housed it all in a sideboard. then added a reel to reel tape deck (stereo, of course) and eventually tried cassettes, but they failed by Ree-To-Reel Tape @7.5 inches per second lol Those were the days !!
How warm is it there that you are in a summer dress? It’s the end of February and 22* with snow and very cold winds in Northern Indiana. You are so lucky to be that warm right now. MUCH envy.
Watched CRC yesterday morning and knew the wind was coming. But the temp dropped like a bowling ball and started heavy snow flurries. Still windy and cold but spring is that much closer. Mel, I’ll send u the name of my gout med when I get home. Toe flare up is so sore can’t walk on my foot but kicks it within an hour.
My brother is now 86 & does not go to a Dr unless extreme temp or so sick his wife panics & takes him. His big toe & foot became extremely painful & swollen & his wife had some Fibrolief Cream on hand & he felt it couldn't do any harm. He woke up the next morning & said he felt 97% better from it. He has used it since. He thought about not using it for a day but the memory of the severity of the pain he had has caused him to continue it for now. Just saying it might be worth checking it out. I googled it & it's an OTC product.
You can hydrate eggs, walmart has some, and they are not expensive. You use parchment paper and put the egg in the morning, and it is done at early supper time. It is easy and not time-consuming.
I bought one of those 3 piece sets for $150 and it had such an awful odor. I opened them and put them outside to air out and they still smelled. I sprayed with Fabreze and put fabric softener sheets in them. They are over 5 years old and still have a hint of the odor.
If you have a Burlington, they have a bigger selection here and cheaper than anywhere. They buy like outlet stores do, up to name brands, ALWAYS far cheaper. They have alittle bit of everything.
I had a corner sink once and hated it, hard to drain hand washed dishes with a corner sink. My favorite sink was in the island and could talk and see what is happening while picking up or making stuff.
I like the soft suitcase, once the hard shell cracks thats it....where i live in southern ontario the malls are still booming....maybe it just hasnt caught up to us yet...
My husband was sent into emergency back surgery from a back adustment, crushed a bulged disc. My co- worker had a neck adjustment, and they as well crushed a disc in her neck and sent her into surgery. 2 different doctors. I would NEVER have an adjustment without an x-ray. Usually your soar for a reason and it could be a brushed bulged or disc out of place.
You're so cool. Sorry grew up in the 60s and high-school in the 70s. Love your lace necklace. Definitely a 70s and early 80s thing. Just had back surgery almost 4 months. Take care of that back. You really don't want to do that back fusion thing i did😢❤
Greetings to you both from Rancho de Vegas. The days of the brick and mortar mega shopping mall are dying out. Good for you Gary on your adjustments. I finally found a Chiropractor out here in Vegas. My first appointment is this coming Monday. He is going to crunch me like a potato chip.
I know this info is a bit after the fact, but Ross, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx often have really good deals on luggage. You can get last year's styles for nearly half the price or even better for higher quality (name brand) luggage than if you spent the same amount on non-name brand luggage.
We always purchase our luggage at WM. Have the composite hard side luggage for 15 years. Just bought more 2 years ago. We always get our luggage at Wal Mart
Sorry about the diagnosis of gout. I had it in my late 20s in my ankle. Ended up having surgery because a tumor the size a half dollar was on my ankle. They also had to scrape my ankle joint to remove gouty Tophe. Haven't had a problem since but the cherries do help.
I’m watching this video again and when I heard the doctor pop Gary’s neck I said ouch it sounded so weird to me I’ve never had that done to me and popping his back I couldn’t believe it I had back surgery for a ruptured disk in my lower back and I also had arthritis set in my back and it still aches at times but I just take some ibuprofen and keep on going
Mel, check out in Fort Smith Arkansas a store called Half of Half National Brand Clothing. I go to one located in Ks . They have locations in central US but they buy out stores going out of business from all the US they sell there stuff at half of half of retail stores so 100.divided by 2 =50 divided by 2=25 plus if you join by giving phone no and e mail they send out coupons every weekend for even more discounts. They get new shipments of stuff on Wed closed on Tues to restock . It has all kinds of clothes and they are all new children also prom dresses and mens. Just really look them over for zippers work and all buttons. They have everything luggage, sheets, towels and shoes and name brands. Cookware ,jewelry , pots and pans, rugs.I buy a lot for my grandkids and ship to Florida.
If you have a TJ Maxx or Marshalls they have everything. You can buy clothes for you, Gary and the kids even luggage for very reasonable prices. I shop at those stores and love them.
What kills online shopping for me is the shipping costs. Once you factor that in, buying locally is more often than not the more economical option. I have often gotten to the online checkout stage and the shipping is more than the cost of the items. At that point I have to NOPE OUT.
I like to do online if it’s cheaper than in store and I’ve already had a chance to see it in person. Clothes I want the opportunity to try on before I buy. USA made first unless I don’t have that choice.
I'm glad you still go on dates with each other. My husband and I would go on dates before he died. Left the kids at home and go. We were married for 52 years before he passed away.
SUGGESTION: kitchen .... what about using cardboard boxes and "build" a stove, fridge and counters? Can get big boxes from stores that sell appliances. They can be built and dismantled and reconstructed over and over and easily moved around? (Don't forget to buy lots of tape) : -)
They say it’s easier to do massage and then chiropractor so things go in way easier.. but im soooooo happy that u could get fixed!!! Drink lots of water after appointments like that to get rid of the toxins!! Yes and if u do it let’s say every 3 months or so to keep on track with your body!!!
Buying suitcases is always a 'thing'. When I used to travel all the time (pre-covid) I used a large Vera Bradley Duffel (22" x 12" x 12") and backpack. I could pack a weeks clothes and tech for my hubby and me and our son....but I live in Queensland Australia in the tropics and we don't even own bulky clothes. If we had to pack bulky stuff too, I'd probably need 2 large duffels.
Well I can remember when I was in primary school that me and my sister had a Duffel coat that was home made Our neibour worked a a paper board mill and every now and again the felt that the board was made on got replaced Well this year he came home with a large piece of thus felt This was cut into manageable sizes and soaked and rinsed many times then washed in a wood fired copper twice and rinsed again until it was clean Thus was then cut and sewed making three duffel coats fir us kids and they were water proof although they were felt and fastened with wooden toggles Plus I wore corduroy shorts until I was 11 and they were home made as well, I am now 69
ice the low back 20 min on and 20 min off for several hours when you get home, and it may sound strange, try to stay off the sugar...it causes inflammation....as an old nurse that is the hardest truth I had to accept, since I love sweets...
Really, luggage all depends on your travel needs. We tend to fly a lot, and buying cheap luggage that got destroyed all the time, it made more sense for us to by better luggage that holds up better. Ended up being cheaper in the long run. Wheels breaking off sucks when having to drag luggage across an airport, lol. If you are primarily travelling by car, the cheaper luggage is definitely more ideal economically. Just replaced a piece of luggage after 10 years of flying a good bit each year, plus weekend getaways via car. Definitely got my money's worth out of it.
Ok, so I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned it.. but I’m a visual learner too. Gary, can you cut templates that can be moved around for designing the kitchen? I use cardboard cutouts when re arranging things. PS please keep in mind the space needed to include kid helpers…
Walmart has luggage, JC Penney you pay for the name and for them selling it. Pa stores closed near Harrisburg area. But I moved here to Cabot, Arkansas and thanks to you I now know where on is.
I go to a chiropractor. He has kept me going. I had both knees & shoulders. I love them. There 2 in the same office. I just love them They also see my son. Because he works in a grocery store he pick up things so much. He has a hard time with his back & feet.
My issues with the softside cases the plastic used as reinforcing the corners become brittle & the next time I go to use them they mostly break into pieces. The hard ones I've bought have stood up to even storage & they could stack inside of each other
Hard case, with 360 degrees wheels, hands down if you’re going to be flying or traveling when others will be handling your luggage. They do not handle your luggage with care, they throw and toss your luggage with no concern. I’ve had my hard case set, samsonite for about 14 years now and they haven’t cracked yet. Mine was purchased online.
I Wouldn't put the kitchen sink in the corner, as you 2 spoke about, i would put my dishwasher in the corner and put the sink under the window, this way it gives more counter space from your sink over to your stove, then keft of stove, more counter space. And then counter space from do to refrigerator to the door way, of kitchen and other rooms.
Soft side by all means. Wish i lived closer. I have a whole set of practically new luggage that im trying to sell. Hubby and i bought it for a trip to seattle a few years ago, and its been sitting in the closet since. It was used once.😂
I have had issues with gout. Long story short my doctor recommended eating cherries. Get the whole ones in the bag from the produce section. I have been eating them when o can find them and have not had an issue with gout since. Pretty sure my diet is worse than yours. Ask your doctor and see what they think but it has been an excellent preventative for me. The last issue was my whole left foot, could not even breathe on it without causing a lot of pain. I am a cherry believer now. Hope it helps.
but Mel the mall needs to be able to compete....it's like it was in the late 1800s with sears and robuck catalog, I remember my Grandfather talking about being excited about when the catalog was delivered, you could even buy house plans on it, stoves, heat and cook stoves....when the catalog petered out the malls came back and now it is back to the sears and robuck days with the catalog, it's on the computer which is faster and easier, plus reviews....things go in cycles I have been told....we have to be responsible for our families, we are paying so much for just groceries and gas it's hard for me to have any money left for my meds....
If you were flying then HARD SHELL because others don’t respect your bags or contents, but if you are putting the luggage in your own car or truck then Soft case as you respect your own things
I always buy soft luggage. I bought my niece a 4 piece luggage set from Walmart for 38.00 on sale!!! I'm thinking about getting one for myself, I have a beach trip coming up in June!!! ❤😊
Y'all gotta get Which or consumer reports. Those suitcases have an abundance of garbage manufacturers, Which tests all types of goods and gives a link to get whatever so you don't waste time or money.. over here Which does monthly subs which you can cancel once you're done..
Malls here in Pennsylvania are about dead too. They are putting in those mini strip malls and they are mostly food joints so I dont go to them and they are expensive too. Malls used to have everything you wanted, rents and prices went to high for people to stick around. And Mel I still have a cassette collection - lol (finally got rid of the 8 tracks I had - lol ) My albums were stolen, I had some collector records only printed on 1 side.
Hi. Ron in Ontario Canada..just a top get a prescription to carry at all times in the event of an attack.. that way you will have the meds to treat with out delay..I got caught on trip to USA and had hard time getting meds..I now carry with me at home or away.. all the best
Marshmallow Root is also excellent for gout. My husband takes both when he flares up. He also eats red meat without issue.
Yes! A great anti-inflammatory. I get capsules from Swanson Vitamins
Hard case...simply because if another person luggage gets damaged and there's any liquids will not get into your bags
Yep, go back even further than cassets and eight tracks to 78's, 45's, and 33&1/3 rpms!!!😊🎉❤
Get the soft luggage. More flexible, easier to store and you can overpack them better than a hard shell luggage
I switched to hard case suit cases and love them, would never go back to soft case.
Yes yes yes!!! Elderberries r also good for when u have colds!!!!
I Treasure you all so much!!!! You make my ❤️ Heart happy for sure!!!! Me and my Husband have been together for 40 years together for 40 years together now!!!! Have a Great night!!!!💕💕💕💕
You are a Blessing in our Lives!!!!❤❤❤❤
We travel alot. We use the hardcase ones. We also only do carry-on. We do not check bags that way we can get off the plane and go. We usually vaca for 7 days too. I've learned to buy the travel laundry soap so if I need to do some bathtub washin I can 🤪
Make sure the fridge doors can open all the way if you do put it next to a wall. My freezer door will not open completely because of the wall.
It's funny you being nostalgic about the malls. When I first started working for a living, I started at a J.C.Penny's, in a DOWNTOWN STORE! The Mall is what ran me out of a job.
I worked as seasonal help and I worked in gift wrapping 😊
God Bless you Mel an Gary, love watching you r whole family.Hipe you have a nice trip coming up.i two have followed you a long time since you were moving to Arkansas. And when you were getting roster break ground for you guys.i think the world of you all, and your brother Ant , an Rox an little wyatt.you made me laugh when you said you would use a trash bag for luggage. Before you pay that much money for Luggage.Your so right, I could not part with that much money for luggage either.
Me too an 8 track player in our Cars. I also recall reel to reel
Me Too. A simple life and I sure do miss it
The bad old days..😟
Yes it was simpler life in the 70,s for sure we had an old fireplace stereo that had a 8 track that’s all it could play beside s the radio it had I wish I would of kept it from my parents
Oh yeah! Them were the days! Seriously I wish we could go back..
Exactly!! The past was great sure miss it.amzon great!!
I can't find where it can be bought. Seems Amazon once sold it as the reviews popped up but no available product.
You can hydrate eggs, walmart has some, and they are not expensive. You use parchment paper and put the egg in the morning, and it is done at early supper time. It is easy and not time-consuming.
I'm sitting at Spencer Chiropractic right now and can't wait to get a "tune-up ".
I bought one of those 3 piece sets for $150 and it had such an awful odor. I opened them and put them outside to air out and they still smelled. I sprayed with Fabreze and put fabric softener sheets in them. They are over 5 years old and still have a hint of the odor.
I’ve had soft and hard shell. Both were good until zippers break.
If you have a Burlington, they have a bigger selection here and cheaper than anywhere. They buy like outlet stores do, up to name brands, ALWAYS far cheaper. They have alittle bit of everything.
I go back to 8 Tracks but still have some 4 Track tapes from my Father. I even have a 4 track 8 track player somewhere. History!
Bargain bin stores have special days pricing, right before a truck delivery they have fill a bag for $5, or everything for a $1.
I had a corner sink once and hated it, hard to drain hand washed dishes with a corner sink. My favorite sink was in the island and could talk and see what is happening while picking up or making stuff.

I am sure he had X-rays. Every chiropractor worth it does X-ray first
Breakfast looked delicious
You're so cool. Sorry grew up in the 60s and high-school in the 70s. Love your lace necklace. Definitely a 70s and early 80s thing. Just had back surgery almost 4 months. Take care of that back. You really don't want to do that back fusion thing i did😢❤
Omg no no no! I would never go to a chiropractor! I ‘ve heard that it helps people. This is the first time seeing it done! Omg no!
I started with 45 records, then 33 Albums at home & an 8 track in my car! Of course I'm 60 years old. Eddie
Hard case every time. It has lasted many more years than the soft side. Love it so much when i needed an extra suitcase i bought another hard case.
Hard case. They get knocked around a lot. They are Awesome
I know this info is a bit after the fact, but Ross, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx often have really good deals on luggage. You can get last year's styles for nearly half the price or even better for higher quality (name brand) luggage than if you spent the same amount on non-name brand luggage.
I am with you. I will use a walmart bag or black bag, Soft case. Your girls are beautiful. I miss my son being small.
I was always against the hard case when they came out cuz I had always had the material ones but once I got one I never went back to the material
Gary, hope you get to feeling better.
We always purchase our luggage at WM. Have the composite hard side luggage for 15 years. Just bought more 2 years ago. We always get our luggage at Wal Mart

I ordered a tenz unit on Amazon and use anytime. Need it. I have even given them for gifts at Christmas. They run under 30.00 but so worth it.
I should buy one for Gary for at home use. That's for the tip! I didn't know you could get those without a Dr rx ! 💚💚💚
@@SimpleLifeReclaimed I use mine a lot also when traveling as sitting in a car can bring on a lot of issues also.
Target and Walmart has great price especially clearance prices on luggage
Mel, check out in Fort Smith Arkansas a store called Half of Half National Brand Clothing. I go to one located in Ks . They say it’s easier to do massage and then chiropractor so things go in way easier.. but im soooooo happy that u could get fixed!!! Drink lots of water after appointments like that to get rid of the toxins!! Yes and if u do it let’s say every 3 months or so to keep on track with your body!!!

Ok, so I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned it.. but I’m a visual learner too. Gary, can you cut templates that can be moved around for designing the kitchen? I use cardboard cutouts when re arranging things. PS please keep in mind the space needed to include kid helpers…
Hey guys, do you have a Ross or TJ Maxx in your area? You can find more affordable luggage there!
Usually no sets there only one of kinds
Goodwill too
Walmart has luggage, JC Penney you pay for the name and for them selling it.
The hard ones I've bought have stood up to even storage & they could stack inside of each other
Plant a bunch of elderberry bushes around the property & pick your own when they start producing. Then you can freeze them for later use. 😊
Yay!!! My favorite breakfast spot. 🍽☕️
There us a home version of the TEMS treatment. Works grwat. Stll nothing better than a good adjustment.
I remember having to go outside to play. No internet. Original Nintendo. MTV being a actually music channel. Damn, I am old 😂❤❤❤ love you guys!!
I have the same lights. They are wonderful!
Great video. I am from the class of 1970 been a ton of changes since then
Please go back for adjustments. That soreness will end after a few adjustments.
Carryons I like a soft case. Checked luggage - hard case every time.
Mel you and Gary are a sweet couple and I just love your kids they’re my grandchildren from Arkansas love you all
I only use hard cases, especially if you're flying. Airports are rough on suitcases
blue berries are good for easing gout pain also
I prefer the soft one because it gives when you pack it.
Well hell, right there in that Walmart as you were leaving I saw a tjmaxx and Ross, I’m sure you could find the outfits for you and the girls.
We don’t have a Goodwill store close either and that’s why I do the second hand store
If driving soft case. Flying hard case. However if in a pickup and luggage needs to go in thr back id use hard case
Soft side by all means. Wish i lived closer. I have a whole set of practically new luggage that im trying to sell. Hubby and i bought it for a trip to seattle a few years ago, and its been sitting in the closet since. It was used once.😂
If you are wanting a suitcase as a carry on, look at aurline measurements and weight restrictions.
The last couple of times I ordered on line I went to Amazon first but found a better deal on eBay.
Great day with you guys . 😊
I use hard ones for flying. Soft case for traveling in a vehicle.
I had lower back pain and I thought it was just back pain and I ended up with a herniated disk might have to do surgery so good luck man
but Mel the mall needs to be able to compete....it's like it was in the late 1800s with sears and robuck catalog, I remember my Grandfather talking about being excited about when the catalog was delivered, you could even buy house plans on it, stoves, heat and cook stoves....when the catalog petered out the malls came back and now it is back to the sears and robuck days with the catalog, it's on the computer which is faster and easier, plus reviews....things go in cycles I have been told....we have to be responsible for our families, we are paying so much for just groceries and gas it's hard for me to have any money left for my meds....
If you were flying then HARD SHELL because others don’t respect your bags or contents,
but if you are putting the luggage in your own car or truck then Soft case as you respect your own things
Oh yeah, this reminded me of my favorite things about chiropractic. The electrode stimulation 😑
Love the trim Gary : MeL look up pictures of Mother Daughter outfits then Look JC Penney etc.
A long long time ago there used to be hard ones but like the soft
Dissolve your cornstarch in a little water. No lumps
Hi. Ron in Ontario Canada..just a top get a prescription to carry at all times in the event of an attack.. that way you will have the meds to treat with out delay..I got caught on trip to USA and had hard time getting meds..I now carry with me at home or away.. all the best
sams and costco has suitcases, and costco had them on sale. think you will pay a lot less for them there than at pennys.
