WhooHoo! Another late night treat for me! I say, “late night,” because it’s what I do late at night when sleep doesn’t come easily for me. George, your guided tours of shopping (meaning picking and thrifting) destinations through the Country are entertaining, relaxing and restful for my tired and overstimulated mind! Just what I need late at night. Thank you for your soothing voice as you share your words of wisdom! ❤🎉❤
Good evening, George! Loved that Jefferson berry set! Those, though, like the beverage sets, take a lot of real estate to display. I think I have three or four berry sets, but nowhere to put another. I have my great granddad's straight razor, shaving brush and strop. That Erphila vase was really nice. I used to have quite a collection of solid white vases. They make a really nice display. It's amasing at how all white and smooth vases, in different shapes, can be so attractive. Loved that urn-shaped vase, with the bird on it! I've always liked the monk pieces, and used to have quite a lot of them. Now, I just buy the monk pieces in Goofus Glass...if I can find them. I have one of those large tin candy boxes, with "Old Ironsides" on it. I was told Beechnut chewing gum originally came in it. That Royal Sealy "Capri" wine set really caught my eye. I'd like to have one, and had plans to get a set of it, but I just have no place to put one. Loved the match and stamp safes. I'm like you - small really matters, now. There were some nice old button hooks there, in the case with the darning eggs. That was really a nice shop! It sounds like it had a rather drastic turn-around. It was a pleasure to shop along with you there!
First of all, THUMBS UP means I love you ❤ George and Xeno; and 2nd of all, WOW, GO CORENE! You have really neat stuff; and well displayed! Hats off to you, and congratulations, taking the leap from wondering about reselling to being a reseller! I wish you much success! OK now, back to looking at all ths great stuff, Wheee! Another great tour of wonderful things!
My mom always made Sunday roast growing up as a kid with garlic cloves stuffed into slits cut into the meat and boy did it smell divine and was delicious!
Learned so much on this shopping trip, George. Just love all the beautiful things. Could identify with sometimes seeing things that surprisingly identify as vintage or even antique."Time stands still (waits) for no man." Cat
I love how you respect the sellers and their pricing. Instead of others that expect everything to be below retail you respect that they are trying to turn a profit as well all while finding sleepers!! Thank you for sharing. Keep an eye out for a purple blendo set for me!
So special!? Small is beautiful! Understatements!!! Love love love❤ . It's all about learning! Yes!🎉. Risque cork screw. Wtw! Lol. I loved the barbie car. I buy if $1. Sells fast at $20. Very cool to display😊. The old tyme women's hand work deserves national attention. I mean . Wow! I am gleaning info from u George. U r easy to follow. Great public speaking abilities. Admire that in u great job. Wonderful store. I enjoyed it. Alot! Thank u much.
Thank you, jacquelyn! I'm so glad you're enjoying the program and indeed, I want to as accurately as I can share what I see with everyone. Keep coming along!
At 31:15 where you are talking about the Hagar you pan out and I seen the turquoise triangular candy dish with lid by Hazel Atlas I have one except it is amber the design is called Pinwheel and branches. Just picked it up tonight at the GoodWill for 2.99. Wow call it coincidence but I l was just looking at that on line too. Have a great day and safe travels
I think this used to be an outlet mall, it is definitely the front shape I remember where thirty years ago I bought my Niece her first Barbie called My First Barbie..and she just patted it in the box in her stroller the next hour.
I think you're right, they were briefly among the group of outlet centers that opened when I was involved with the one in Centralia, Washington. I think the store was 'Toys Galore'
Great shop! I get a chuckle out of people's obsession with their black lights. I was in a shop a while ago and there was another customer who had a black light strapped to his head, go figure!
George! I love your commentary! "You go to some places where a flea market is a downright antique show and other places where a flea market is what did I get out of the garage this morning and throw in the car" 😅😅😂
Hey George once upon a time I worked in a chemistry lab and I checked all my old China and it didn't only have met in it it also is very high and cadmium which is really not good for you it's really important to remind people that some of the old China with hot food will reach the chemicals and minerals into the food you are eating. It can be rather an expensive to have it checked for toxic paint any local chemistry lab like Loucks in Seattle
I loved the tour of the shop full of beautiful glass, silver, etc. The White House is the place for me., however, my men would make me sit a different car on our way home to Minnesota. For me, Garlic is a Musical Fruit!
If you ever head down south Mississippi / Louisiana on the coast I would love to show you around! I enjoy your content and love learning with you! Thank you!
George not knowing a stamp holder on sight was a surprise. In the UK they made them shaped like envelopes. They don't turn up here much. Don't we wish!
oh my goodness that hat with that long ,, I guess that's a peacock feather , I don't think that matches your style too well and I say that the loving way because I know you look very prim and proper in a lot of those hats👻
I always learn so much from your channel. Your knowledge is vast and you are so respectful and delightful to all you come across. If you go on Interstate 35, Antiques Iowa is a huge mall right off of the Story City exit.
No vampires within a hundred miles of that restaurant. Wonder if they serve BLOODY MARY'S just to tease them. You are a very good business person and antique shopper and generous with your knowledge wish you all the best.
I have a tumble up also! I love it also ! It is the colorful Mexican pottery, the name of it has slipped my mind. If you find one let me know because I want another!😊
I just found and sold one of those lucite flower arrangements @4:10... used a UV Black Light image in the listing. Bought for $3.99, sold for $52.00 + Ship. Are you going to be at Custer's again this fall? Wish I would have known you were headed this way... you could always come shop my barn.
Saw the mesh purses and immediatlely thought of 3 people who'd bag the lot. Alas all three are in the UK. Her prices weren't bad at all. The cow skull is begging to land in some professional jeweler's case.
Yes no kidding, I missed an opportunity to purchase a pink 50s hairpin legs with 4 matching chairs...it had just sold all for 50 bucks to a preschool teacher ugggg.
No but if you saw anything you liked in the video, contact Treasure Trove at (208) 777-8080 and ask them to arrange to purchase, I think she said she can ship
?I bought my kids the 1st post Batman movie comic book soon after the movie. It was really eye catching. But I don’t know if it has value. Does anyone know that can help me out?
Antique dealers are all the same!!!! They will hang onto 90 percent of their stuff because of their “value”. Then they die and an estate sale sells it at a fraction of the price because family doesn’t want it….same old stories everywhere😒
Oh, I don't know, it depends how and where they sell. The ones I know like Marie who have been successful over the years try to sell 10-15% of our stock at each show or mall booth monthly, shoot for over 50% online by picking and choosing, and turn our stock completely more than once a year
Fun video George! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much George for the visit, the video and the amazing review! You’re the best! So glad you decided to come in again!!
Me too! It was a lot of fun seeing how the store is evolving

Hello! I understand, a few people say I calm them down. I'm surprised but glad I have that affect on people!
So pretty to hear Under the Sea. It sounded so beautiful. I love The Little Mermaid. Thank you for sharing. Take Care Scott.
Wow! The crochet awl, never knew they existed!
Loved the sewing implement’s!! Great shop with great displays!
Dear George; What a treat to watch , very relaxing pace yet you cover the booths thoughly ! Thank you 😊
Thank you! That's about my shopping rhythm

I love the lady at the end she just loved her antiques and was so knowledgable. ❤
This was a great video!! So much good information 👍💗
I love the Wallace pin with the "lady" on it. What a fun piece! 😂

Love the biscuit jars and the Japanese sewing basket ❤
Yes! All nice
My mom always made Sunday roast growing up as a kid with garlic cloves stuffed into slits cut into the meat and boy did it smell divine and was delicious!
Yes I miss that too! My mom didn't make a lot of great food, but that was an exception
Love how knowledgeable he is on the antiques. I learn something in every vudeo.

Absolutely interesting and I love learning about new things.
What a great place 🌹 So many unique things at reasonable prices.
What is this place. NO address. Please send one😊

I will look for one! I feel like resellers sometimes forget that if there's no retail market, there's no need for resellers
I agree with you totally!❤
Really enjoyed looking at these true antiques. Thanks, George.
Lol you could call that fireking a pressure cooker lol

This place looks Fantastic! I wish I lived closer!
Flamboyant hat!! Fun ! 😊🎉
George, this was a really enjoyable browse through a “flea market!” Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

Love your family stories they're very unique and pretty hilarious , I hope the scales paid off🤩
George! I love your commentary! "You go to some places where a flea market is a downright antique show and other places where a flea market is what did I get out of the garage this morning and throw in the car" 😅😅😂
Well, 'flea market' has a lot of meanings! :)
I had that Lennox spice set! i never took it out of the box and moved it around with me all over the country
HI George, I've been obsessed for a few months now! Learning so much about Vintage. i love your channel, thank you :)
Thank you so much! Glad you're having fun with me

Saw a lot of things I haven’t seen before! Great video!
Awesome! Thank you!
What a great shopping trip!
I loved the tour of the shop full of beautiful glass, silver, etc. The White House is the place for me., however, my men would make me sit a different car on our way home to Minnesota. For me, Garlic is a Musical Fruit!
My husband doesn't like it when I go without him, for that reason lol
I understand!
Love the Couroc ice bucket!
I just love that part of the PNW. ❤
Me too, all of it really
Ooh I’ve been looking for a good resin flower! I could drive to Idaho! 😊 looks like she had some neat stuff, for you and everyone else!
That one was cute! Northern Idaho is a mix of country, western and Spokane antique to mid-century history
If you ever head down south Mississippi / Louisiana on the coast I would love to show you around! I enjoy your content and love learning with you! Thank you!
Hope to get there next year!
I really learned a lot from this video. Thank you so much!
Thank you too!
The Bon Appetit casserole reminds me of Julia Childs. We saw her exhibit at Henry Ford Museum earlier this month.
I heard that was great! I didn't get to go back to Henry Ford Museum this year.
George not knowing a stamp holder on sight was a surprise. In the UK they made them shaped like envelopes. They don't turn up here much. Don't we wish!
I just hadn't encountered one that hung like a charm!
So glad to see this video. I haven’t been there, because years ago I heard it wasn’t so great. Will check it out!
Oh, I hope you do. Thanks
Yes! It has really improved. I wouldn't have guessed either.
George and antiques❤
Wild George, I love this video. They had such a house full of smalls.
I love them And learn so much more from you, you are just fascinating.❤❤😊😊😊❤❤
Aww thanks!
oh my goodness that hat with that long ,, I guess that's a peacock feather , I don't think that matches your style too well and I say that the loving way because I know you look very prim and proper in a lot of those hats👻
Loved the lady in the chair holding umbrella...

Been there and she's not kidding it's huge!
I have heard! I look forward to shopping Iowa again sometime
No vampires within a hundred miles of that restaurant. Wonder if they serve BLOODY MARY'S just to tease them. You are a very good business person and antique shopper and generous with your knowledge wish you all the best.
Lol they should!
I have a tumble up also! I love it also ! It is the colorful Mexican pottery, the name of it has slipped my mind. If you find one let me know because I want another!😊
I'll keep an eye out for it, probably Tlaquepaque origin
😊😊😊😊
Hola Mr. Nomad! Good vlog. I love that blue glass tall jar! Wonder the price and how I can purchase?
I just found and sold one of those lucite flower arrangements @4:10... used a UV Black Light image in the listing. Bought for $3.99, sold for $52.00 + Ship. Are you going to be at Custer's again this fall? Wish I would have known you were headed this way... you could always come shop my barn.
UGH... I love the White House Grill 😋 Bring on the Garlic!
Saw the mesh purses and immediatlely thought of 3 people who'd bag the lot. Alas all three are in the UK. Her prices weren't bad at all. The cow skull is begging to land in some professional jeweler's case.
Agreed!
Love the lady legs corkscrew. What was she asking on it?
I don't remember but I will get back to you.
Do you think the pop art market will come back again ? Seems like a slow down a few years ago but ramping up again.. thoughts?
I think it will! It's got a great attachment for modernists and that's still the strongest part of the market
I hated that I missed getting home in time for the live chat!
Always nice to see you here or there
@@TheAntiqueNomadthank you! I never miss a video ! I look forward to every Monday and Wednesday!
Thanks!
Thank you so much, Yvonne! That's very kind of you. I promise to keep showing you "new" old stuff and interesting things
Hello George 👋
Hello there!
$90 for a Formica table? Sold!
Yes no kidding, I missed an opportunity to purchase a pink 50s hairpin legs with 4 matching chairs...it had just sold all for 50 bucks to a preschool teacher ugggg.
That sweet little dog was a Yorkshire Terrier not a Pekinese. Yorkie fans all let out a collective "Nooooooo", lol😄
Oops I'm sorry! I should definitely know better, I have friends with a Yorkie. I don't know why I mixed that up!
36:01 let me hold it lady!!!
;)
💖
My favorite!❤❤❤
So fun for us too!
" OH THATS PRETTY" 🤣🤣🤣 That's not much of a antique store at least the area and state I'm from! " OH THATS SO PRETTY! " 😆😆😆
If you had seen it before, you might come to realize they are moving forward pretty fast for having had practically no vintage just two months ago!
@@TheAntiqueNomad OK sorry for being cruel! I hope they the store there sells alot of quality antiques. There's a lot of stuff that people desire.!
That basket was not a sweetgrass basket, it was made of pine needles, different technique.
Okay, I thought that might be the case based on what I saw in Florida. Thank you for the correction!
Does Corene have a TH-cam or does she have a way we could see her things and purchase?
No but if you saw anything you liked in the video, contact Treasure Trove at (208) 777-8080 and ask them to arrange to purchase, I think she said she can ship
?I bought my kids the 1st post Batman movie comic book soon after the movie. It was really eye catching. But I don’t know if it has value. Does anyone know that can help me out?
Try completed sales on eBay, that trades frequently enough there to give you a good idea
